This article presents a connection between fuzzy preordered structures and hyperstructures. Firstly, we introduce the notion of fuzzy preordered semigroup and then, we construct a semihypergroup associated with it, giving some properties of the associated hyperstructure. This is Part I of a two-part paper; the purpose of this two-part paper is (a) to develop new concepts and techniques in the theory of infinite-dimensional programming, and (b) to obtain fruitful applications in continuous time programming. Part I deals with the development of continuous time analogues to those concepts which are the cornerstones of finite-dimensional programming theory. Specifically, a constraint qualification analogous to that found in finite-dimensional programming and a continuous time version of Farkas' theorem are developed. The latter result, stated in terms of convex and polar cones, is then employed in conjunction with the newly-developed constraint qualification to establish necessary conditions and a duality theory for a class of nonlinear continuous time programming problems. This approach to duality permits the imposition of assumptions that are less stringent than those needed for duality in previous formulations of the nonlinear problem.  相似文献

We give the name Hausdorff to those ultrafilters that provide ultrapowers whose natural topology (-topology) is Hausdorff, e.g. selective ultrafilters are Hausdorff. Here we give necessary and sufficient conditions for product ultrafilters to be Hausdorff. Moreover we show that no regular ultrafilter over the ``small' uncountable cardinal can be Hausdorff. ( is the least size of an ultrafilter basis on .) We focus on countably incomplete ultrafilters, but our main results also hold for -complete ultrafilters.

Let X be a k-vector space, and U a maximal proper filter of subspaces of X. Then the ring of endomorphisms of X that are “continuous” with respect to U modulo the ideal of those that are “trivial” with respect to U forms a division ring E(U). (These division rings can also be described as the endomorphism rings of the simple left End(X)-modules.) We study this and the dual construction, based on maximal cofiIters of subspaces of X, in particular, the relation between the constructed division rings and the original field or division ring k. We end by examining a more general construction in which X is a module over a general ring, given with both a filter and a cofilter of submodules.  相似文献

We develop a game-theoretic approach to partition theorems, like those of Mathias, Taylor, and Louveau, involving ultrafilters. Using this approach, we extend these theorems to contexts involving several ultrafilters. We also develop an analog of Mathias forcing for such contexts and use it to show that the proposition (considered by Laver and Prikry) “every non-trivial c.c.c. forcing adjoins Cohen-generic reals or random reals” implies the non-existence of P-points. We show that, in the model obtained by Lévy collapsing to ω all cardinals below a Mahlo cardinal ;, any countably many selective ultrafilters are mutually generic over the Solovay (Lebesgue measure) submodel. Finally, we show that a certain natural group of self-homeomorphisms of βω-ω, chosen so as to preserve selectivity of ultrafilters, in fact preserves isomorphism types.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply the standard element free mathematical definitions of equivalence relation and function as relations to the case of fuzzy relations. One of the surprising results of this approach is that fuzzy functions take their values from the complemented elements of a Brouwerian lattice. Thus, in the common case of the values being taken from the unit interval, the only fuzzy functions of this type are the ordinary functions. This might suggest that fuzzy set theory is more than just a generalization of ordinary set theory.  相似文献

We study the relation between the fuzzy core and balancedness for fuzzy games. For regular games, this relation has been studied by Bondareva (Problemy Kibernet 10:119–139, 1963) and Shapley (Naval Res Logist Q 14: 453–460, 1967). First, we gain insight in this relation when we analyse situations where the fuzzy game is continuous. Our main result shows that any fuzzy game has a non-empty core if and only if it is balanced. We also consider deposit games to illustrate the use of the main result.  相似文献
