It is known that perturbations from a Hamiltonian 2-saddle cycle Γ can produce limit cycles that are not covered by the Abelian integral, even when it is generic. These limit cycles are called alien limit cycles. This phenomenon cannot appear in the case that Γ is a periodic orbit, a non-degenerate singularity, or a saddle loop. In this Note, we present a way to study this phenomenon in a particular unfolding of a Hamiltonian 2-saddle cycle, keeping one connection unbroken at the bifurcation. To cite this article: M. The construct M of metered spaces and contractions is known to be a superconstruct in which all metrically generated constructs can be fully embedded. We show that M has one point extensions and that quotients in M are productive. We construct a Cartesian closed topological extension of M and characterize the canonical function spaces with underlying sets Hom(X,Y) for metered spaces X and Y. Finally we obtain an internal characterization of the objects in the Cartesian closed topological hull of M.  相似文献

In this Note, we generalize a result of Goodman–Plante, who characterizes limit points of averaging sequences as holonomy invariant transverse measures. We prove an analogous result for some leafwise averages, weighted with a cocycle Δ, whose limit points are a product of a quasi-invariant transverse measure with respect to Δ with a leafwise measure. We study several properties of invariant measures obtained from preimages, for non-invertible maps on fractal sets which model non-reversible dynamical systems. We give two ways to describe the distribution of all preimages for endomorphisms which are not necessarily expanding on a basic set Λ. We give a topological dynamics condition which guarantees that the corresponding measures converge to a unique conformal ergodic borelian measure; this helps in estimating the unstable dimension a.e. with respect to this measure with the help of Lyapunov exponents. When there exist negative Lyapunov exponents of this limit measure, we study the conditional probabilities induced on the non-uniform local stable manifolds by the limit measure, and also its pointwise dimension on stable manifolds.  相似文献

The pressure function P(A, s) plays a fundamental role in the calculation of the dimension of “typical” self-affine sets, where A = (A 1, …,A k ) is the family of linear mappings in the corresponding generating iterated function system. We prove that this function depends continuously on A. As a consequence, we show that the dimension of “typical” self-affine sets is a continuous function of the defining maps. This resolves a folklore open problem in the community of fractal geometry. Furthermore we extend the continuity result to more general sub-additive pressure functions generated by the norm of matrix products or generalized singular value functions for matrix cocycles, and obtain applications on the continuity of equilibrium measures and the Lyapunov spectrum of matrix cocycles.  相似文献

In this paper we construct, given a Wajsberg hoop A, an MV-algebra MV(A) such that the underlying set A of A is a maximal filter of MV(A) and the quotient MV(A)/A is the two element chain. As an application we provide a topological duality for locally finite Wajsberg hoops based on a previously known duality for locally finite MV-algebras. We also give another duality for k-valued Wajsberg hoops based on a different representation of k-valued MV-algebras and show the relation to the first duality. We also apply this construction to give a topological representation for free k-valued Wajsberg hoops.  相似文献

We compute two invariants of topological conjugacy, the upper and lower limits of the inverse of Boshernitzan??s ne n , where e n is the smallest measure of a cylinder of length n, for three families of symbolic systems: the natural codings of rotations, three-interval exchanges, and Arnoux-Rauzy systems. The sets of values of these invariants for a given family of systems generalize the Lagrange spectrum, which is what we obtain for the family of rotations with the upper limit of 1/ne n.  相似文献

We consider the problem of finding T-periodic solutions for a differential system whose vector field depend on a small parameter ε. An answer to this problem can be given using the averaging method. Our main results are in this direction, but our approach is new. We use topological methods based on Brouwer degree theory to solve operator equations equivalent to this problem. The regularity assumptions are weaker then in the known results (up to second order in ε). A result for third order averaging method is also given.As an application we provide a way to study bifurcations of limit cycles from the period annulus of a planar system and notice relations with the displacement function. We present here a possible derivation of interfacial energies from simple atomistic models, such as pair potential energies. In order to do so, we first extend the result of Blanc et al. [Arch. In this paper, under the open set condition we have determined the lower and upper bounds of the Hausdorff dimensions and the upper box-counting dimensions of the limit sets of hyperbolic recurrent iterated function systems in terms of the unique zeros h and H of the two pressure functions. In addition, we have estimated the bounds of h, H-dimensional Hausdorff and packing measures. The result in this paper generalizes existing results about fractal dimensions of many other iterated function systems.  相似文献

We define the type of a periodic orbit of a graph map. We consider the class of ‘train-track’ representatives, that is, those graph maps which minimise the topological entropy of the topological representatives of a given free group endomorphism. We prove that each type of periodic orbit realised by an efficient representative is also realised by any representative of the same free group endomorphism. We discuss the connection between different scalings limits of the quantum-relativistic Dirac–Maxwell system. In particular we give rigorous results for the quasi-neutral/non-relativistic limit of the Vlasov–Maxwell system: we obtain a magneto-hydro-dynamic system when we consider the magnetic field as a non-relativistic effect and we obtain the Euler equation when we see it as a relativistic effect. In the framework of the Kirchhoff–Love asymptotic theory of elastic thin plates we consider the unilateral contact problem with friction for a plate on a rigid foundation (Signorini problem with friction). First, we notice, when the thickness vanishes, that the order of the friction force must be lower than that of the contact pressure. These two measures are connected by Coulomb law. Consequently, at least formally, the friction force must be vanishing when the thickness goes to zero. We actually prove that any sequence of solution of the sequence of three-dimensional scaled Signorini problems with friction strongly converges to the unique solution of a two-dimensional Signorini plate problem without friction. This Note deals with the identifiability of non-smooth defects by boundary measurements. We prove the uniqueness of the detection by two measurements for arbitrary closed sets satisfying quasi-everywhere a conductivity assumption. This assumption is satisfied by a large class of compact sets, including all the sets which can be written as an arbitrary union of continua of positive diameter. The conductivity is a new regularity concept which is related to the thickness of the set and is to be compared to the Wiener regularity. In this paper, we study the bifurcation of limit cycles from fine focus in Zn-equivariant vector fields. An approach for investigating bifurcation was obtained. In order to show our work is efficacious, an example on bifurcations behavior is given, namely five order singular points values are given in the seventh degree Z8-equivariant systems. We discuss their bifurcation behavior of limit cycles, and show that there are eight fine focuses of five order and five small amplitude limit cycles can bifurcate from each. So 40 small amplitude limit cycles can bifurcate from eight fine focuses under a certain condition. In terms of the number of limit cycles for seventh degree Z8-equivariant systems, our results are good and interesting.  相似文献
