A distributed optimal control problem for parabolic systems with constraints in state is considered. The problem is transformed to control problem without constraints but for systems governed by parabolic variational inequalities. The new formulation presented enables the efficient use of a standard gradient method for numerically solving the problem in question. Comparison with a standard penalty method as well as numerical examples are given.  相似文献

This paper studies “fixed zeros” of solutions to the model matching problem for systems over semirings. Such systems have been used to model queueing systems, communication networks, and manufacturing systems. The main contribution of this paper is the discovery of two fixed zero structures, which possess a connection with the extended zero semimodules of solutions to the model matching problem. Intuitively, the fixed zeros provides an essential component that is obtained from the solutions to the model matching problem. For discrete event dynamic systems modeled in max-plus algebra, a common Petri net component constructed from the solutions to the model matching problem can be discovered from the fixed zero structure.  相似文献

The paper deals with the second order differential systems with periodic boundary conditions. In the first part of the paper four different methods are employed to find the unique solution of the linear systems. One of the methods is a shooting type which converts the periodic boundary value problem into its equivalent initial value problem. In the second part of the paper several sufficient conditions are provided for the existence and uniqueness for the nonlinear systems. The technique developed for the linear systems to convert into its equivalent initial value problem is used in an iterative way for the nonlinear systems. It is shown that the iterations converge quadratically.  相似文献

We study the integrability problem for evolution systems on phase spaces with a nonflat metric. We show that if the phase space is a sphere, the Hamiltonian systems are generated by the action of the Hamiltonian operators on the variations of the phase-space geodesics and the integrability problem for the evolution systems reduces to the integrability problem for the equations of motion for the frames on the phase space. We relate the bi-Hamiltonian representation of the evolution systems to the differential-geometric properties of the phase space.  相似文献

In this paper, a new approach to solving a prediction problem for nonlinear stochastic differential systems with a Poisson component is discussed. In this approach, the prediction problem is reduced to an analysis of stochastic jump-diffusion systems with terminating and branching paths. The prediction problem can be approximately solved by using numerical methods for stochastic differential equations and methods for modeling inhomogeneous Poisson flows.  相似文献

This paper deals with the inversion problem for linear time-invariant dynamical systems. Earlier in this formulation the discussed issue has been addressed and solved for invertible systems that meet the definition of Isidori relative degree. But in fact, this problem is well-posed for a wider range of linear dynamical systems. In this paper we examine a particular case based on a definition that is similar to the definition of relative degree by Isidori. Presented here columnwise relative degree and its properties allow to consider and effectively solve the inversion problem for invertible systems that meet this definition.  相似文献

Output regulation and observer design are two important problems for nonlinear systems, and there is a vast literature addressing each problem separately in the control literature. Isidori and Byrnes [1] have solved the output regulation problem for nonlinear systems with a Poisson stable exosystem, and Sundarapandian [2] has solved the exponential observer design problem for Lyapunov stable nonlinear systems. In this paper, we demonstrate that for a special class of Lyapunov stable nonlinear systems, namely neutrally stable systems, the exponential observer design problem can be solved by converting it into an output regulation problem and then solving the new problem using the output regulation techniques of Isidori and Byrnes [1]. Finally, we present the corresponding results for the discrete-time case.  相似文献

In 1852 Lame [1] formulated the first fundamental problem of the theory of elasticity for a rectangular parallelepiped. An approximate solution to this problem was given by Filonenko-Borodich [2 and 3] who used Castigliano's variational principle. Later Mishonov [4] obtained an approximate solution to Lamé's problem in the form of divergent triple Fourier series. These series contain constants which are found from infinite systems of linear equations. Teodorescu [5] has considered a particular case of Lame's problem. Using his own method the author solves the problem in the form of double series analogous to those used in [6 to 8] and by Baida in [9 and 10] in solving problems on the equilibrium of a rectangular parallelepiped. The solution of the problem reduces to three infinite system of linear equations and the author asserts that these infinite systems are regular. It is shown in Section 5 that the infinite systems obtained by Teodorescu, on the other hand, will not be regular.

In the references mentioned above which investigate Lamé's problem the authors confine their attention either to obtaining a solution by an approximate method, or to reducing the solution process to one of obtaining infinite systems, leaving these uninvestigated. It must be emphasized that the main difficulty in solving this problem lies in investigating the infinite systems obtained which are significantly different from the infinite systems of the corresponding plane problem.

In this paper a solution is given to the first fundamental problem of the theory of elasticity for a rectangular parallelepiped with prescribed external stresses on the surface (Sections 2, 3 and 4). For the solution of this problem the author has used a form of the general solution of the homogeneous Lamé equations which contains five arbitrary harmonic functions and which constitutes a generalization of the familiar Papkovich-Neuber solution (Section 1). The solution is expressed in the form of double series containing four series of unknown constants which can be found from four infinite systems of linear algebraic equations. The infinite systems of linear equations obtained is studied for values of Poisson's ratio within the range 0 < σ ≤ 0.18. It is shown that for these values of Poisson's ratio the infinite systems are quasi-fully regular.  相似文献

Problems of the stability of non-linear non-autonomous systems of differential equations with a special class of asymptotically vanishing perturbations are considered. The problem of reducing a problem on the stability of the equilibrium of a perturbed system to a problem on stability with respect to a non-linear approximation system which has a triangular form is solved. The problem of integrability conditions for systems of differential equations is discussed. Darboux’s classical results on the integrability of linear non-autonomous systems with an incomplete set of particular solutions are generalized. Special attention is paid to linear Hamiltonian systems. The paper discusses the general problem of integrability of the systems of autonomous differential equations in an n-dimensional space, which admit the algebra of symmetry fields of dimension ? n. Using a method due to Liouville, this problem is reduced to investigating the integrability conditions for Hamiltonian systems with Hamiltonians linear in the momenta in phase space of dimension that is twice as large. In conclusion, the integrability of an autonomous system in three-dimensional space with two independent non-trivial symmetry fields is proved. It should be emphasized that no additional conditions are imposed on these fields.  相似文献

Abstract

This article continues stability investigation of systems with fading stochastic perturbations. In recent results for systems with the continuous time, it was shown that if stochastic perturbations fade on the infinity quickly enough then asymptotically stable deterministic system remains to be an asymptotically mean square stable independently of the magnitude of the intensity maximum of these stochastic perturbations. Here similar statements are obtained for systems with the discrete time by the condition that the level of stochastic perturbations is given by a square summable sequence. Besides the unsolved problem is proposed: is it possible to get analogous results with not so quickly fading stochastic perturbations. This problem is an open problem and for systems with the continuous time too.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study the problem of asymptotic stabilization in probability of nonlinear stochastic differential systems with unknown parameters. With this aim, we introduce the concept of an adaptive control Lyapunov function for stochastic systems and we use the stochastic version of Artstein's theorem to design an adaptive stabilizer. In this framework the problem of adaptive stabilization of a nonlinear stochastic system is reduced to the problem of asymptotic stabilization in probability of a modified system. The design of an adaptive control Lyapunov function is illustrated by the example of adaptively quadratically stabilizable in probability stochastic differential systems. A certainclass of sigularly-perturbed systems which have a variety of m-dimensional stationary positions is considered. When a small parameter disappears, the system also has an m-dimensional manifold of stationary positions and, therefore, the corresponding characteristic equation has m zero roots. The conditions under which the solution of a stability problem reduces to the same problem for a degenerate system are defined. As an application in practice gyroscopic stabilizing systems (the critical case corresponds to such systems) with elastic elements of high stiffness are discussed. The conditions under which the solution of the problem of the stability of steady motion follows from the solution of this problem for an ideal system (with absolutely rigid elements) are obtained. The problem of the closeness of the corresponding solutions of the complete and a simplified system of differential equations over an infinite time interval is discussed.  相似文献

The present paper deals with the exposition of methods for solving the Brockett problem on the stabilization of linear control systems by a nonstationary feedback. The paper consists of two parts. We consider continuous linear control systems in the first part and discrete systems in the second part. In the first part, we consider two approaches to the solution of the Brockett problem. The first approach permits one to obtain low-frequency stabilization, and the second part deals with high-frequency stabilization. Both approaches permit one to derive necessary and sufficient stabilization conditions for two-dimensional (and three-dimensional, for the first approach) linear systems with scalar inputs and outputs. In the second part, we consider an analog of the Brockett problem for discrete linear control systems. Sufficient conditions for low-frequency stabilization of linear discrete systems are obtained with the use of a piecewise constant periodic feedback with sufficiently large period. We obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the stabilization of two-dimensional discrete systems. In the second part, we also consider the control problem for the spectrum (the pole assignment problem) of the monodromy matrix for discrete systems with a periodic feedback.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to establish the oscillation theorems, Rayleigh principle, and coercivity results for linear Hamiltonian and symplectic systems with general boundary conditions, i.e., for the case of separated and jointly varying endpoints, and with no controllability (normality) and strong observability assumptions. Our method is to consider the time interval as a time scale and apply suitable time scales techniques to reduce the problem with separated endpoints into a problem with Dirichlet boundary conditions, and the problem with jointly varying endpoints into a problem with separated endpoints. These more general results on time scales then provide new results for the continuous time linear Hamiltonian systems as well as for the discrete symplectic systems. This paper also solves an open problem of deriving the oscillation theorem for problems with periodic boundary conditions. Furthermore, the present work demonstrates the utility and power of the analysis on time scales in obtaining new results especially in the classical continuous and discrete time theories.  相似文献
