Self-diffeomorphisms of three-dimensional space with a hyperbolic fixed point at the origin and a nontransversal point homoclinic to it are considered. It is assumed that the Jacobian matrix of the initial diffeomorphism has complex eigenvalues at the origin. It is shown that, under certain conditions imposed mainly on the character of tangency of the stable and unstable manifolds, a neighborhood of the nontransversal homoclinic point contains an infinite set of stable periodic points whose characteristic exponents are bounded away from zero.  相似文献

An infinitely differentiable periodic two-dimensional system of differential equations is considered. It is assumed that there is a hyperbolic periodic solution and there exists a homoclinic solution to the periodic solution. It is shown that, for a certain type of tangency of the stable manifold and unstable manifold, any neighborhood of the nontransversal homoclinic solution contains a countable set of stable periodic solutions such that their characteristic exponents are separated from zero.  相似文献

We study the main bifurcations of multidimensional diffeomorphisms having a nontransversal homoclinic orbit to a saddle-node fixed point. On a parameter plane we build a bifurcation diagram for single-round periodic orbits lying entirely in a small neighborhood of the homoclinic orbit. Also, a relation of our results to the well-known codimension one bifurcations of a saddle fixed point with a quadratic homoclinic tangency and a saddle-node fixed point with a transversal homoclinic orbit is discussed.  相似文献

In this paper we extend the notion of sectionally dissipative periodic points to arbitrarily compact invariant sets. We show that given a sectionally dissipative and attracting region for a diffeomorphisms f, there is a neighborhood of f and a dense subset of it such that any diffeomorphism g in this dense subset either exhibits a sectional dissipative homoclinic tangency or the part of the limit set of g in this attracting region is a hyperbolic compact set. The proof goes extending some results on dominated splitting obtained for compact surfaces maps.  相似文献

In this work we show, on a manifold of any dimension, that arbitrarily near any smooth diffeomorphism with a homoclinic tangency associated to a sectionally dissipative fixed or periodic point (i.e. the product of any pair of eigenvalues has norm less than 1), there exists a diffeomorphism exhibiting infinitely many Hénon-like strange attractors. In the two-dimensional case this has been proved in [E. Colli, Infinitely many coexisting strange attractors, Ann. Inst. H. Poincaré Anal. Non Linéaire 15 (1998) 539–579]. We study bifurcations of periodic orbits in two parameter general unfoldings of a certain type homoclinic tangency (called a generalized homoclinic tangency) to a saddle fixed point. We apply the rescaling technique to first return (Poincaré) maps and show that the rescaled maps can be brought to so-called generalized Hénon maps which have non-degenerate bifurcations of fixed points including those with multipliers e ± . On the basis of this, we prove the existence of infinite cascades of periodic sinks and periodic stable invariant circles.   相似文献

We consider generic one-parameter families of diffeomorphisms on a manifold of arbitrary dimension, unfolding a homoclinic tangency associated to a sectionally dissipative saddle point (the product of any pair of eigenvalues has norm less than 1). We prove that such families exhibit strange attractors in a persistent way: for a positive Lebesgue measure set of parameter values. In the two-dimensional case this had been obtained in a joint work with L. Mora, based on and extending the results of Benedicks-Carleson on the quadratic family in the plane.  相似文献

It was established in [1] that bifurcations of three-dimensional diffeomorphisms with a homoclinic tangency to a saddle-focus fixed point with the Jacobian equal to 1 can lead to Lorenz-like strange attractors. In the present paper we prove an analogous result for three-dimensional diffeomorphisms with a homoclinic tangency to a saddle fixed point with the Jacobian equal to 1, provided the quadratic homoclinic tangency under consideration is nonsimple.  相似文献

We study the ergodic theory of non-conservative C 1-generic diffeomorphisms. First, we show that homoclinic classes of arbitrary diffeomorphisms exhibit ergodic measures whose supports coincide with the homoclinic class. Second, we show that generic (for the weak topology) ergodic measures of C 1-generic diffeomorphisms are non-uniformly hyperbolic: they exhibit no zero Lyapunov exponents. Third, we extend a theorem by Sigmund on hyperbolic basic sets: every isolated transitive set Λ of any C 1-generic diffeomorphism f exhibits many ergodic hyperbolic measures whose supports coincide with the whole set Λ.  相似文献

We prove that any diffeomorphism of a compact manifold can be C1-approximated by a diffeomorphism which exhibits a homoclinic bifurcation (a homoclinic tangency or a heterodimensional cycle) or by a diffeomorphism which is partially hyperbolic (its chain-recurrent set splits into partially hyperbolic pieces whose centre bundles have dimensions less or equal to two). We study bi-Lyapunov stable homoclinic classes for a C~1 generic flow on a closed Riemannian manifold and prove that such a homoclinic class contains no singularity. This enables a parallel study of bi-Lyapunov stable dynamics for flows and for diffeomorphisms. For example, we can then show that a bi-Lyapunov stable homoclinic class for a C~1 generic flow is hyperbolic if and only if all periodic orbits in the class have the same stable index.  相似文献

The bifurcation associated with a homoclinic orbit to saddle-focus including a pair of pure imaginary eigenvalues is investigated by using related homoclinic bifurcation theory. It is proved that, in a neighborhood of the homoclinic bifurcation value, there are countably infinite saddle-node bifurcation values, period-doubling bifurcation values and double-pulse homoclinic bifurcation values. Also, accompanied by the Hopf bifurcation, the existence of certain homoclinic connections to the periodic orbit is proved.  相似文献

We prove that if 𝒻1 is the time one map of a transitive and codimension one Anosov flow φ and it is C 1-approximated by Axiom A diffeomorphisms satisfying a property called P, then the flow is topologically conjugated to the suspension of a codimension one Anosov diffeomorphism. We study a smooth symplectic 2-parameter unfolding of an almost hyperbolic diffeomorphism on two-dimensional torus. This diffeomorphism has a fixed point of the type of the degenerate saddle. In the parameter plane there is a bifurcation curve corresponding to the transition from the degenerate saddle into a saddle and parabolic fixed point, separatrices of these latter points form a channel on the torus. We prove that a saddle period-2 point exists for all parameter values close to the co-dimension two point whose separatrices intersect transversely the boundary curves of the channel that implies the existence of a quadratic homoclinic tangency for this period-2 point which occurs along a sequence of parameter values accumulating at the co-dimension 2 point. This leads to the break of stable/unstable foliations existing for almost hyperbolic diffeomorphism. Using the results of Franks [1] on π 1-diffeomorphisms, we discuss the possibility to get an invariant Cantor set of a positive measure being non-uniformly hyperbolic.  相似文献

We show that the loss of hyperbolicity of an Anosov diffeomorphism of the torusT 2 can be produced by a cubic tangency at a heteroclinic point. Such a first bifurcation is generic for 3-parameters families of diffeomorphisms. Our construction may also be applied to any basic set of a surface diffeomorphism. Moreover, if the pointq of cubic tangency corresponds to a lateral point of then the bifurcation is generic for two parameters.
