In this paper we consider a spectral problem which describes bending vibrations of a homogeneous rod, in cross-sections of which the longitudinal force acts, the left end of which is fixed rigidly and on the right end is concentrated an elastically fixed load. We study the uniform convergence of spectral expansions in terms of root functions of this problem.  相似文献

The longitudinal impact on a thin elastic rod, which generates a periodic system of longitudinal waves in it, is considered. At definite values of the parameters of the problem in the linear approximation, these waves induce parametric resonances, which are accompanied by an unlimited increase in the amplitude of the transverse vibrations. To obtain finite values of the amplitudes, a quasilinear system is considered in which the effect of the transverse vibrations on the longitudinal vibrations is taken into account. This system was previously solved using the Bubnov–Galerkin method and beats accompanied by energy transfer between the transverse and longitudinal vibrations were obtained. In this work, an approximate analytical solution of the system has been derived that is based on double-scale expansions. A qualitative analysis of this solution has been carried out. An estimate of the maximum transverse bending has been obtained for various methods of loading. Both shortand long-term pulses have been considered. It has been shown that, in the case of a spontaneously applied long-term pulse that is lower than the Euler critical load, intensive transverse vibrations can occur.  相似文献

The problem of stabilizing the upper vertical (inverted) position of a pendulum using vibration of the suspension point is considered. The periodic function describing the vibrations of the suspension point is assumed to be arbitrary but possessing small amplitudes, and slight viscous damping is taken into account. A formula is obtained for the limit of the region of stability of the solutions of Hill's equation with damping in the neighbourhood of the zeroth natural frequency. The analytical and numerical results are compared and show good agreement. An asymptotic formula is derived for the critical stabilization frequency of the upper vertical position of the pendulum. It is shown that the effect of viscous damping on the critical frequency is of the third-order of smallness and, in all the examples considered, when viscous damping is taken into account the critical frequency increases.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the exact controllability and boundary stabilization of the torsional vibrations of a flexible space structure (such as a solar cell array) modeled by a rectangular panel, incorporating the material damping of the structure. The panel is hoisted at one end by a rigid hub and the other end is totally free. For the attachment of this hub on one side of the panel, the hub dynamics leads to a nonstandard boundary condition. To incorporate internal damping of the material, we assume Voigt-type viscoelasticity of the structure. Exact controllability theory is established using the Hilbert uniqueness method by means of a control torque applied only on the rigid hub of the panel. At the same time, uniform exponential energy decay rate is obtained directly for the solution of this problem.  相似文献

The spatial displacement of an absolutely rigid vertical rod in a viscous medium is considered; the rod is hinged at the upper end to a platform moving on the surface of the viscous medium over a specified curvilinear trajectory. A load is attached to the lower end of the rod. Using a variational Lagrangian equation, a nonlinear system of ordinary differential equations in terms of the angles of rod rotation determining the position of points of this rod at any time is obtained. As an example, the problem is solved for conditions of acceleration, uniform motion, and deceleration of the reference point moving over a trajectory consisting of rectilinear sections and portions of circles. The differential equations obtained may be used in determining the position of rod-type elements suspended in a viscous medium.Donetsk. Chelomei's problem of the stabilization of an elastic, statically unstable rod by means of a vibration is considered. Formulae for the upper and lower critical frequencies for the stabilization of the rod are obtained and analysed. It is shown that, unlike the high-frequency stabilization of an inverted pendulum with a vibrating suspension point, a rod is stabilized by frequencies of a periodic force of the order of the fundamental frequency of the transverse oscillations of the uncompressed rod lying in a certain range.  相似文献

The buckling of a pin-ended slender rod subjected to a horizontal end load is formulated as a nonlinear boundary value problem. The rod material is taken to be governed by constitutive laws which are nonlinear with respect to both bending and compression. The nonlinear boundary value problem is converted to a suitable integral equation to allow the application of bounded operator methods. By treating the integral equation as a bifurcation problem, the branch points (critical values of load) are determined and the existence and form of nontrivial solutions (buckled states) in the neighborhood of the branch points is established. The integral equation also affords a direct attack upon the question of uniqueness of the trivial solution (unbuckled state). It is shown that, under certain conditions on the material properties, only the trivial solution is possible for restricted values of the load. One set of conditions gives uniqueness up to the first branch point.  相似文献

Under study is the problem of bending an elastic plate with a thin rigid inclusion which may delaminate and form a crack. We find a system of boundary conditions valid on the faces of the crack and prove the existence of a solution. The problem of bending a plate with a volume rigid inclusion is also considered. We establish the convergence of solutions of this problem to a solution to the original problem as the size of the volume rigid inclusion tends to zero.  相似文献

In this paper a model for the vibrations of a one‐dimensional hybrid thermo‐elastic structure consisting of an extensible thermo‐elastic beam which is hinged at one end, with a rigid body attached to its free end, is studied with a view to establishing the existence of a unique solution in a weak sense. The model takes account of the effect of stretching on bending and rotational inertia. By treating eigenvalue problems with the spectral parameter also in the boundary conditions, we are able to employ the method of Faedo–Galerkin approximations. 本文研究了载电流夹紧杆在磁场作用下的非线性稳定性,其磁场由两根无限长相互平行的刚性直导线产生.杆的自然状态在刚性导线所在的平面内,并且与两刚性导线等距.首先,在空间变形的假定下,给出了问题的数学描述,讨论了线性化问题和临界电流.其次,证明了杆的过屈曲状态总是平面的.最后,数值计算了分支解的全局响应,得到了杆过屈曲状态的挠度、内力和弯矩的分布.结果表明,载电流杆既可发生超临界屈曲,又可发生次临屈界曲,其性态依赖于杆与导线间的距离;同时,在超临界的过屈曲状态上还存在极限点型的失稳,这与通常的压杆失稳有着本质的区别.  相似文献

The motion of a rigid body in a uniform gravity field is investigated. One of the points of the body (the suspension point) performs specified small-amplitude high-frequency periodic or conditionally periodic oscillations (vibrations). The geometry of the body mass is arbitrary. An approximate system of differential equations is obtained, which does not contain the time explicitly and describes the rotational motion of the rigid body with respect to a system of coordinates moving translationally together with the suspension point. The error with which the solutions of the approximate system approximate to the solution of the exact system of equations of motion is indicated. The problem of the stability with respect to the equilibrium of the rigid body, when the suspension point performs vibrations along the vertical, is considered as an application.  相似文献

研究了一端固定、一端弹簧约束滑动固定的压杆在Euler临界载荷作用下的稳定性.将系统的势能表示为转角的泛函,将扰动量展开成Fourier级数,将势能的二阶变分表示成一个二次型,得到在临界状态下势能的二阶变分半正定,并求得临界载荷与屈曲模态.进一步研究临界状态下高阶变分的正定性,包括四阶和六阶变分的正定性.结果表明,与刚性约束不同的是,柔性约束压杆临界状态的稳定性与约束的刚度有关,有稳定与不稳定之分,并给出了临界状态是稳定和不稳定的情况下柔性约束相对刚度的范围.  相似文献

We consider the problem of active damping of forced resonance vibrations of viscoelastic shells of revolution with the help of piezoelectric sensors and actuators. Here, the interaction of electromechanical and thermal fields is taken into account. For modeling of vibrations, we use the Kirchhoff–Love hypotheses as well as hypotheses adequate to them and describing the distribution of temperature and electric field quantities. The shell temperature increases as a result of dissipative heating. For the active damping of vibrations, piezoelectric sensors and actuators are used. It is supposed that the electromechanical characteristics of materials depend on the temperature. The solution of this complex nonlinear problem has been obtained by the iterative method and finite element method. We have investigated the influence of temperature of dissipative heating on the efficiency of active damping of vibrations of a viscoelastic cylindrical panel with rigid restraint of its edges.  相似文献

We consider free oscillations of a double pendulum, where one of the pendula is modelled as a very stiff spring. Contrary to a single spring pendulum numerical simulations show an unexpected large influence of the fast longitudinal oscillations on the slow pendulum oscillations even for extremely large values of the stiffness. The transition from the regular motion, which is governed by the dynamics of a rigid double pendulum close to a periodic orbit, to the irregular motion with large contributions from the longitudinal oscillations occurs due to a subcritical symmetry breaking bifurcation of the periodic solution. We consider the problem of active damping of the forced resonance vibrations of a viscoelastic cylindrical panel with the help of piezoelectric actuators. The end faces of the panel are assumed to be simply supported and heat-insulated. An analytical solution of the problem of electromechanics is obtained. On this basis, the dissipative function is calculated, and the energy equation is solved. We also analyze the influence of the temperature of dissipative heating on the efficiency of active damping of the forced vibrations of a cylindrical panel.  相似文献

Under study is an equilibrium problem for a plate under the influence of external forces. The plate is assumed to have a thin rigid inclusion that reaches the boundary at the zero angle and partially contacts a rigid body. On the inclusion face, there is a delamination. We consider the complete Kirchhoff–Love model, where the unknown functions are the vertical and horizontal displacements of the middle surface points of the plate. The problem of buckling of a vertical rod loaded by dead weight and tensile force to its top end was examined. Four variants for attachment of the top end of the rod upon clamping the bottom end were analyzed. The problem was solved by individual consideration of the stretched and compressed zones of the rod and their sewing together. Critical values of the axial force were obtained, which permit prevention of buckling of a long rod by the action of dead weight.
