On Filippov algebroids and multiplicative Nambu–Poisson structures

We discuss relations of linear Nambu–Poisson structures to Filippov algebras and define a Filippov algebroid—a generalization of a Lie algebroid. We also prove results describing multiplicative Nambu–Poisson structures on Lie groups. In particular, it is shown that simple Lie groups do not admit multiplicative Nambu–Poisson structures of order >2.

Calabi–Yau Algebras Viewed as Deformations of Poisson Algebras

From any algebra A defined by a single non-degenerate homogeneous quadratic relation f, we prove that the quadratic algebra B defined by the potential w?=?fz is 3-Calabi–Yau. The algebra B can be viewed as a 3-Calabi–Yau completion of Keller. The algebras A and B are both Koszul. The classification of the algebras B in three generators, i.e., when A has two generators, leads to three types of algebras. The second type (the most interesting one) is viewed as a deformation of a Poisson algebra S whose Poisson bracket is non-diagonalizable quadratic. Although the potential of S has non-isolated singularities, the homology of S is computed. Next the Hochschild homology of B is obtained.     

Ternary Derivations of Generalized Cayley–Dickson Algebras

Abstract

Ternary derivations, ternary Cayley derivations and ternary automorphisms are computed over fields of characteristic ≠ 2, 3 for the algebras A _t obtained by the Cayley–Dickson duplication process. While the derivation algebra of A _t stops growing after t = 3, the ternary derivation algebra significantly decreases in the step from the octonions A ₃ to the sedenions A ₄, revealing the symmetry lost on that stage.     

Filippov–Pliss lemma and m-dissipative differential inclusions

In the paper we prove a variant of the well known Filippov–Pliss lemma for evolution inclusions given by multivalued perturbations of m-dissipative differential equations in Banach spaces with uniformly convex dual. The perturbations are assumed to be almost upper hemicontinuous with convex weakly compact values and to satisfy one-sided Peron condition. The result is then applied to prove the connectedness of the solution set of evolution inclusions without compactness and afterward the existence of attractor of autonomous evolution inclusion when the perturbations are one-sided Lipschitz with negative constant.     

Ringel–Hall Algebras of Quotient Algebras of Path Algebras

We determine the generating relations for Ringel–Hall algebras associated with quotient algebras of path algebras of Dynkin and tame quivers, and investigate their connection with composition subalgebras.     

Algebras of Quotients of Jordan–Lie Algebras

In this article, we introduce the notion of algebra of quotients of a Jordan–Lie algebra. Properties such as semiprimeness or primeness can be lifted from a Jordan–Lie algebra to its algebras of quotients. Finally, we construct a maximal algebra of quotients for every semiprime Jordan–Lie algebra.

The Simple Connectedness of Tame Algebras with Separating Almost Cyclic Coherent Auslander–Reiten Components

We study the simple connectedness of the class of finite-dimensional algebras over an algebraically closed field for which the Auslander–Reiten quiver admits a separating family of almost cyclic coherent components. We show that a tame algebra in this class is simply connected if and only if its first Hochschild cohomology space vanishes.

     

Boole–De Morgan Algebras and Quasi-De Morgan Functions

In this paper we establish a Stone-type and a Birkhoff-type representation theorems for Boole–De Morgan algebras and prove that the free Boole–De Morgan algebra on n free generators is isomorphic to the Boole–De Morgan algebra of quasi-De Morgan functions of n variables. Also we introduce the concept of Zhegalkin polynomials for quasi-De Morgan functions and consider the representation problem of those functions by polynomials.     

Constructions and Cohomology of Hom–Lie Color Algebras

The main purpose of this paper is to define representations and a cohomology of Hom–Lie color algebras and to study some key constructions and properties. We describe Hartwig–Larsson–Silvestrov Theorem in the case of Γ-graded algebras, study one-parameter formal deformations, discuss α ^k -generalized derivations and provide examples.     

Representations and T*-Extensions of Hom–Jordan–Lie Algebras

The purpose of this article is to study representations and T*-extensions of δ-hom–Jordan–Lie algebras. In particular, adjoint representations, trivial representations, deformations, and many properties of T*-extensions of δ-hom–Jordan–Lie algebras are studied in detail. Derivations and central extensions of δ-hom–Jordan–Lie algebras are also discussed as an application.     

Gravitational Collapse and the Vlasov–Poisson System

A self-gravitating homogeneous ball of a fluid with pressure zero where the fluid particles are initially at rest collapses to a point in finite time. We prove that this gravitational collapse can be approximated arbitrarily closely by suitable solutions of the Vlasov–Poisson system which are known to exist globally in time.
