We consider differences of composition operators between given weighted Banach spaces H v or H 0 v of analytic functions defined on the unit polydisk D N with weighted sup-norms and give estimates for the distance of these differences to the space of compact operators. We also study boundedness and compactness of the operators. This paper is an extension of [6] where the one-dimensional case is treated. Received: May 15, 2007. Revised: October 8, 2007.  相似文献

We give an interpolation-free proof of the known fact that a dyadic paraproduct is of Schatten-von Neumann class Sp, if and only if its symbol is in the dyadic Besov space Bpd. Our main tools are a product formula for paraproducts and a “p-John-Nirenberg-Theorem” due to Rochberg and Semmes. We use the same technique to prove a corresponding result for dyadic paraproducts with operator symbols.Using an averaging technique by Petermichl, we retrieve Peller's characterizations of scalar and vector Hankel operators of Schatten-von Neumann class Sp for 1<p<∞. We then employ vector techniques to characterise little Hankel operators of Schatten-von Neumann class, answering a question by Bonami and Peloso.Furthermore, using a bilinear version of our product formula, we obtain characterizations for boundedness, compactness and Schatten class membership of products of dyadic paraproducts.  相似文献

We construct conjugate operators for the real part of a completely non-unitary isometry and we give applications to the spectral and scattering theory of a class of operators on (complete) Fock spaces, natural generalizations of the Schrödinger operators on trees. We consider C*-algebras generated by such Hamiltonians with certain types of anisotropy at infinity, we compute their quotient with respect to the ideal of compact operators, and give formulas for the essential spectrum of these Hamiltonians.  相似文献

Following the work of C. Cowen and T. Kriete on the Hardy space, we prove that under a regularity condition, all composition operators with a subnormal adjoint on A2(D) have linear fractional symbols of the form. Moreover, we show that all composition operators on the Bergman space having these symbols have a subnormal adjoint, with larger range for the parameterr than found in the Hardy space case.  相似文献

We prove several singular value inequalities and norm inequalities involving sums and direct sums of Hilbert space operators. It is shown, among other inequalities, that if X and Y are compact operators, then the singular values of are dominated by those of X ⊕ Y. Applications of these inequalities are also given.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a class of weighted integral operators onL 2 (0, ) and show that they are unitarily equivalent to Hankel operators on weighted Bergman spaces of the right half plane. We discuss conditions for the Hankel integral operator to be finite rank, Hilbert-Schmidt, nuclear and compact, expressed in terms of the kernel of the integral operator. For a particular class of weights these operators are shown to be unitarily equivalent to little Hankel operators on weighted Bergman spaces of the disc, and the symbol correspondence is given. Finally the special case of the unweighted Bergman space is considered and for this case, motivated by approximation problems in systems theory, some asymptotic results on the singular values of Hankel integral operators are provided.  相似文献

We study a class of pseudodifferential operators known as time-frequency localization operators, Anti-Wick operators, Gabor-Toeplitz operators or wave packets. Given a symbol a and two windows ?1,?2, we investigate the multilinear mapping from to the localization operator Aa?1,?2 and we give sufficient and necessary conditions for Aa?1,?2 to be bounded or to belong to a Schatten class. Our results are formulated in terms of time-frequency analysis, in particular we use modulation spaces as appropriate classes for symbols and windows.  相似文献

We consider Schrödinger operators on L2(Rd) with a random potential concentrated near the surface Rd1×{0}⊂Rd. We prove that the integrated density of states of such operators exhibits Lifshits tails near the bottom of the spectrum. From this and the multiscale analysis by Boutet de Monvel and Stollmann [Arch. Math. 80 (2003) 87-97] we infer Anderson localization (pure point spectrum and dynamical localization) for low energies. Our proof of Lifshits tails relies on spectral properties of Schrödinger operators with partially periodic potentials. In particular, we show that the lowest energy band of such operators is parabolic.  相似文献

We show that there exist non-compact composition operators in the connected component of the compact ones on the classical Hardy space H2. This answers a question posed by Shapiro and Sundberg in 1990. We also establish an improved version of a theorem of MacCluer, giving a lower bound for the essential norm of a difference of composition operators in terms of the angular derivatives of their symbols. As a main tool we use Aleksandrov-Clark measures.  相似文献

We discuss the asymptotic behavior of matrix sequences belonging to a special class of non-commutative Banach algebras and study, in particular, the stability, and more general the Fredholm property of such sequences. The abstract results are applied to finite sections of band-dominated operators, especially in the case lp(Z), 1?p?.  相似文献

A Banach space operator T is polaroid and satisfies Weyl’s theorem if and only if T is Kato type at points λ ∈ iso σ(T) and has SVEP at points λ not in the Weyl spectrum of T. For such operators T, f(T) satisfies Weyl’s theorem for every non-constant function f analytic on a neighborhood of σ(T) if and only if f(T) satisfies Weyl’s theorem.  相似文献

New features of the Banach function space L1w(v), that is, the space of all v-scalarly integrable functions (with v any vector measure), are exposed. The Fatou property plays an essential role and leads to a new representation theorem for a large class of abstract Banach lattices. Applications are also given to the optimal domain of kernel operators taking their values in a Banach function space.  相似文献

Spectral properties of 1-D Schrödinger operators with local point interactions on a discrete set are well studied when d:=infn,kN|xnxk|>0. Our paper is devoted to the case d=0. We consider HX,α in the framework of extension theory of symmetric operators by applying the technique of boundary triplets and the corresponding Weyl functions. We show that the spectral properties of HX,α like self-adjointness, discreteness, and lower semiboundedness correlate with the corresponding spectral properties of certain classes of Jacobi matrices. Based on this connection, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the operators HX,α to be self-adjoint, lower semibounded, and discrete in the case d=0.The operators with δ-type interactions are investigated too. The obtained results demonstrate that in the case d=0, as distinguished from the case d>0, the spectral properties of the operators with δ- and δ-type interactions are substantially different.  相似文献

We study the multivariate generalisation of the classical Wiener-Hopf algebra, which is the C-algebra generated by the Wiener-Hopf operators, given by convolutions restricted to convex cones. By the work of Muhly and Renault, this C-algebra is known to be isomorphic to the reduced C-algebra of a certain restricted action groupoid. It admits a composition series, and therefore, a ‘symbol’ calculus. Using groupoid methods, we obtain, in the framework of Kasparov's bivariant KK-theory, a topological expression of the index maps associated to these symbol maps in terms of geometric-topological data of the underlying convex cone. This generalises an index theorem by Upmeier concerning Wiener-Hopf operators on symmetric cones. Our result covers a wide class of cones containing polyhedral and homogeneous cones.  相似文献

We prove pointwise convexity (Jensen-type) inequalities of the form Open image in new window where F is a convex function defined on a convex subset of some Banach space X and T is the X-valued extension of a positive operator on some function space. Examples include the pointwise Hölder inequality T(fg) ≤ (Tf p )1/ p (Tf q )1/ q for a positive sublinear operator T. As applications we consider vector-valued conditional expectation and a ``real'' proof of the Riesz-Thorin theorem for positive operators.  相似文献

Invertible composition operators on the Hardy spaceH p have automorphic symbols. For 1<p< andp2 it is shown that some elliptic composition operators are scalar while others are generalized scalar but not spectral, that parabolic composition operators are generalized scalar but not spectral and that hyperbolic composition operators do not have the single-valued extension property.  相似文献

Abstract

This is a report on a number of recent results on composition operators which map, for 0 < p ? q ∞, the Hardy space Hp (on the unit disk in the complex plane) into H q. Attention is focused on questions of boundedness (existence), compactness, order boundedness and, in connection with the latter, on relating the absolutely summing and nuclearity character as well as special factorization properties of the operator to function theoretic properties of the defining symbol. Moreover, tools are provided to show that certain classes of operators can well be distinguished already on the level of composition operators.  相似文献

A Hilbert space operator AB(H) is p-hyponormal, A∈(p-H), if |A|2p?|A|2p; an invertible operator AB(H) is log-hyponormal, A∈(?-H), if log(TT)?log(TT). Let dAB=δAB or ?AB, where δABB(B(H)) is the generalised derivation δAB(X)=AX-XB and ?ABB(B(H)) is the elementary operator ?AB(X)=AXB-X. It is proved that if A,B∈(?-H)∪(p-H), then, for all complex λ, , the ascent of (dAB-λ)?1, and dAB satisfies the range-kernel orthogonality inequality ‖X‖?‖X-(dAB-λ)Y‖ for all X∈(dAB-λ)-1(0) and YB(H). Furthermore, isolated points of σ(dAB) are simple poles of the resolvent of dAB. A version of the elementary operator E(X)=A1XA2-B1XB2 and perturbations of dAB by quasi-nilpotent operators are considered, and Weyl’s theorem is proved for dAB.  相似文献

In this paper we relate the operators in the operator representations of a generalized Nevanlinna function N(z) and of the function −N(z)−1 under the assumption that z=∞ is the only (generalized) pole of nonpositive type. The results are applied to the Q-function for S and H and the Q-function for S and H, where H is a self-adjoint operator in a Pontryagin space with a cyclic element w, H is the self-adjoint relation obtained from H and w via a rank one perturbation at infinite coupling, and S is the symmetric operator given by S=HH.  相似文献

In this paper the numerical range of operators (possibly unbounded) in an indefinite inner product space is studied. In particular, we show that the spectrums of bounded positive operators (or the spectrum of unbounded uniformly I-positive operators) are contained in the closure of the I-numerical range.  相似文献
