The zinc(II) pseudohalide complexes {[Zn(L334)(SCN)2(H2O)](H2O)2}n ( 1 ) and [Zn(L334)(dca)2]n ( 2 ) were synthesized and characterized using the ligand 3,4‐bis(3‐pyridyl)‐5‐(4‐pyridyl)‐1,2,4‐triazole (L334) and ZnCl2 in presence of thiocyanate (SCN) and dicynamide [dca, N(CN)2] respectively. Single‐crystal X‐ray structural analysis revealed that the central ZnII atoms in both complexes have similar octahedral arrangement. Compound 1 has a 2D sheet structure bridged by bidentate L334 and double μN,S‐thiocyanate anions, whereas complex 2 , incorporating with two monodentate dicynamide anions, displays a two‐dimensional coordination framework bridged by tetradentate L334 ligand. Structural analysis demonstrated that the influence of pseudohalide anions plays an important role in determining the resultant structure. Both complexes were characterized by IR spectroscopy, microanalysis, and powder X‐ray diffraction techniques. In addition, the solid fluorescence and thermal stability properties of both complexes were investigated.  相似文献

The synthesis of a number of new 2,2′‐bipyridine ligands functionalized with bulky amino side groups is reported. Three homoleptic polypyridyl ruthenium (II) complexes, [Ru(L)3]2+ 2(PF6?), where L is 4,4′‐dioctylaminomethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridine (Ru4a), 4,4′‐didodecylaminomethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridine (Ru4b) and 4,4′‐dioctadodecylaminomethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridine (Ru4c), have been synthesized. These compounds were characterized and their photophysical properties examined. The electronic spectra of three complexes show pyridyl π → π* transitions in the UV region and metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer bands in the visible region. The study reports the synthesis of complexes Co(HL)Cl2 ( 1 ), Ni(HL)Cl2 ( 2 ), Cu(HL)Cl2 ( 3 ), and Zn(HL)3Cl2 ( 4 ) with the title ligand, 5‐(pyrazin‐2‐yl)‐1,2,4‐triazole‐5‐thione (HL), and their characterization by elemental analyses, ESI‐MS (m/z), FT‐IR and UV/Vis spectroscopy, as well as EPR in the case of the CuII complex. The comparative analysis of IR spectra of the metal ion complexes with HL and HL alone indicated that the metal ions in 1 , 2 , and 3 are chelated by two nitrogen atoms, N(4) of pyrazine and N(5) of triazole in the thiol tautomeric form, whereas the ZnII ion in 4 is coordinated by the non‐protonated N(2) nitrogen atom of triazole in the thione form. pH potentiometry and UV/Vis spectroscopy were used to examine CoII, NiII, and ZnII complexes in 10/90 (v/v) DMSO/water solution, whereas the CuII complex was examined in 40/60 (v/v) DMSO/water solution. Monodeprotonation of the thione triazole in solution enables the formation of the L:M = 1:1 species with CoII, NiII and ZnII, the 2:1 species with CoII and ZnII, and the 3:1 species with ZnII. A distorted tetrahedral arrangement of the CuII complex was suggested on the basis of EPR and Vis/NIR spectra.  相似文献

Three coordination polymers, namely {[Cu(5‐nipa)(L22)](H2O)2}n ( 1 ), [Zn(5‐nipa)(L22)(H2O)]n ( 2 ), and {[Cd2(5‐nipa)2(L22)(H2O)3](H2O)3.6}n ( 3 ), were prepared under similar synthetic method based on 1,2‐(2‐pyridyl)‐1,2,4‐triazole (L22) and ancillary ligand 5‐nitro‐isophthalic acid (5‐H2nipa) with CuII, ZnII, and CdII perchlorate, respectively. All the complexes were characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and powder X‐ray diffraction (PXRD) patterns. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction indicates that complexes 1 and 2 show similar 1D chain structures, whereas complex 3 exhibits the 2D coordination network with hcb topology. The central metal atoms show distinct coordination arrangements ranging from distorted square‐pyramid for CuII in 1 , octahedron for ZnII in 2 , to pentagonal‐bipyramid for CdII in 3 . The L22 ligand adopts the same (η32) coordination fashion in complexes 1 – 3 , while the carboxyl groups of co‐ligand 5‐nipa2– adopt monodentate fashion in 1 and 2 and bidentate chelating mode in 3 . These results indicate that the choice of metal ions exerts a significant influence on governing the target complexes. Furthermore, thermal stabilities of complexes 1 – 3 and photoluminescent properties of 2 and 3 were also studied in the solid state.  相似文献

The Schiff base ligand, 1‐phenyl‐3‐methyl‐5‐hydroxypyrazole‐4‐methylene‐8′‐quinolineimine, and its CuII, ZnII, and NiII complexes were synthesized and characterized. The crystal structure of the ZnII complex was determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, indicating that the metal ions and Schiff base ligand can form mononuclear six‐coordination complexes with 1:1 metal‐to‐ligand stoichiometry at the metal ions as centers. The binding mechanism and affinity of the ligand and its metal complexes to calf thymus DNA (CT DNA) were investigated by UV/Vis spectroscopy, fluorescence titration spectroscopy, EB displacement experiments, and viscosity measurements, indicating that the free ligand and its metal complexes can bind to DNA via an intercalation mode with the binding constants at the order of magnitude of 105–106 M –1, and the metal complexes can bind to DNA more strongly than the free ligand alone. In addition, antioxidant activities of the ligand and its metal complexes were investigated through scavenging effects for hydroxyl radical in vitro, indicating that the compounds show stronger antioxidant activities than some standard antioxidants, such as mannitol. The ligand and its metal complexes were subjected to cytotoxic tests, and experimental results indicated that the metal complexes show significant cytotoxic activity against lung cancer A 549 cells.  相似文献

Binuclear Nickel(II) Complexes with Oxalamidinates as Bridging Ligands: Synthesis and Struktures of Compounds with Planar, Tetrahedral, Tetragonal‐pyramidal, and Octahedral Coordination Oxalamidines R1–NH–C(=NR2–C(=NR2)–NH–R1 react selectively with Ni(acac)2 under formation of the planar complexes [(acac)Ni(oxalamidinate)Ni(acac)]. Two crystal structures of the binuclear complexes with R = R′ = Ph ( 1 ) or p‐tolyl ( 2 ) show that the bridging oxalamidinates bind as bidendate ligands at each Nickel(II) atom. In contrast, the more sterically demanding fragment (Ph3P)NiBr can only coordinate at sterically less demanding oxalamidinates to form complexes of the type [(Ph3P)NiBr]2(oxalamidinate) with tetrahedral coordination of NiII found by X‐ray analyses. Oxalamidines containing additional donor atoms in the side arms react very different, but in each case under formation of binuclear complexes, such as [(acac)2Ni]2( H2E ) ( 8 ) (with R1: –(CH2)3PPh2, R2: p‐tolyl) in which the oxalamidine acts as bidentate neutral P,N‐ligand and the NiII atom has an octahedral environment. H2F (with R1: –(CH2)3PPh2, R2: Mesityl), however, yields the planar complex [(acac)Ni]2( F ) ( 9 ) with dianionic oxalamidinate under elimination of acetylacetone. There is no coordination of the donor groups of the side arms in the solid state of complex 9 , in contrast to the analogous binuclear complex [(acac)Ni]2( H ) 10 (R1: –CH2–CH2‐2‐pyridyl, R2: Mesityl). In this complex a distorted tetragonal‐pyramidal coordination of NiII is achieved. 2 reacts with an excess of LiCH3 under elimination of the oxalamidinate to form the cluster compound Li4(THF)4Ni2Me8 in very good yields, while 9 yields the THF poorer cluster Li2(THF)2Li2Ni2Me8 under similar conditions.  相似文献

A number of new polymer complexes of palladium(II), platinum(II) and copper(II) containing homopolymer (N‐(2′‐pyridyl)propenamide; APH) and various anions (Cl?, Br?, I? or NO3?) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, electron paramagnetic resonance, IR and reflectance spectral measurements. The homopolymer shows three types of coordination behavior. In the mononuclear polymer complexes 1–6 and 9 it acts as a neutral bidentate ligand chelated through the pyridine‐nitrogen and amide‐oxygen atoms, whereas in the square‐planar [Pd(APH)2X2] (X = Cl, Br) unidentate APH is coordinated through the pyridine‐nitrogen atom alone. Under alkaline conditions APH is deprotonated in the presence of palladium(II) to form [Pd(AP)2] ( 10 ), AP being an anionic bidentate ligand and chelating through the pyridine‐nitrogen and amide‐oxygen atoms. The poly‐chelates are of 1:1 and 1:3 (metal:homopolymer) stoichiometry and exhibit six‐coordination. The polymer complexes of stoichiometric [(APH)2CuX2] contain square planar (APH)2 Cu2+ units and the anions X? are in the axial positions, giving distorted octahedral configurations. From the electron paramagnetic resonance and spectral data, the orbital reduction factors were calculated. Copyright © 2004 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In the title compound, catena‐poly[[[N,N′‐bis(pyridin‐3‐ylmethyl)‐[1,1′‐biphenyl]‐4,4′‐dicarboxamide]chloridozinc(II)]‐μ‐[1,1′‐biphenyl]‐4,4′‐dicarboxylato‐[[N,N′‐bis(pyridin‐3‐ylmethyl)‐[1,1′‐biphenyl]‐4,4′‐dicarboxamide]chloridozinc(II)]‐μ‐[N,N′‐bis(pyridin‐3‐ylmethyl)‐[1,1′‐biphenyl]‐4,4′‐dicarboxamide]], [Zn2(C14H8O4)Cl2(C26H22N4O2)3]n, the ZnII centre is four‐coordinate and approximately tetrahedral, bonding to one carboxylate O atom from a bidentate bridging dianionic [1,1′‐biphenyl]‐4,4′‐dicarboxylate ligand, to two pyridine N atoms from two N,N′‐bis(pyridin‐3‐ylmethyl)‐[1,1′‐biphenyl]‐4,4′‐dicarboxamide ligands and to one chloride ligand. The pyridyl ligands exhibit bidentate bridging and monodentate terminal coordination modes. The bidentate bridging pyridyl ligand and the bridging [1,1′‐biphenyl]‐4,4′‐dicarboxylate ligand both lie on special positions, with inversion centres at the mid‐points of their central C—C bonds. These bridging groups link the ZnII centres into a one‐dimensional tape structure that propagates along the crystallographic b direction. The tapes are interlinked into a two‐dimensional layer in the ab plane through N—H...O hydrogen bonds between the monodentate ligands. In addition, the thermal stability and solid‐state photoluminescence properties of the title compound are reported.  相似文献

The coordination mode of the dimethylmalonate ligand in the two title CuII complexes, {[Cu(C5H3O4)(H2O)]·H2O}n, (I), and [Cu(C5H3O4)(H2O)]n, (II), is the same, with chelated six‐membered, bis‐monodentate and bridging bonding modes. However, the coordination environment of the CuII atoms, the connectivity of their metal–organic frameworks and their hydrogen‐bonding interactions are different. Complex (I) has a perfect square‐pyramidal CuII environment with the aqua ligand in the apical position, and only one type of square grid consisting of CuII atoms linked via carboxylate bridges to three dimethylmalonate ligands, with weak hydrogen‐bond interactions within and between its two‐dimensional layers. Complex (II) has a coordination geometry that is closer to square pyramidal than trigonal bipyramidal for its CuII atoms with the aqua ligand now in the basal plane. Its two‐dimensional layer structure comprises two alternating grids, which involve two and four different dimethylmalonate anions, respectively. There are strong hydrogen bonds only within its layers.  相似文献

Three photoluminescent complexes containing either ZnII or CdII have been synthesized and their structures determined. Bis[4‐amino‐3,5‐bis(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐1,2,4‐triazole‐κ2N 1,N 5]bis(dicyanamido‐κN 1)zinc(II), [Zn(C12H10N6)2(C2N3)2], (I), bis[4‐amino‐3,5‐bis(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐1,2,4‐triazole‐κ2N 1,N 5]bis(dicyanamido‐κN 1)cadmium(II), [Cd(C12H10N6)2(C2N3)2], (II), and bis[4‐amino‐3,5‐bis(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐1,2,4‐triazole‐κ2N 1,N 5]bis(tricyanomethanido‐κN 1)cadmium(II), [Cd(C12H10N6)2(C4N3)2], (III), all crystallize in the space group P , with the metal centres lying on centres of inversion, but neither analogues (I) and (II) nor CdII complexes (II) and (III) are isomorphous. A combination of N—H…N and C—H…N hydrogen bonds and π–π stacking interactions generates three‐dimensional framework structures in (I) and (II), and a sheet structure in (III). The photoluminescence spectra of (I)–(III) indicate that the energies of the π–π* transitions in the coordinated triazole ligand are modified by minor changes of the ligand geometry associated with coordination to the metal centres.  相似文献

The PbII cation in the title compound, [Pb2(C14H4N2O8)]n, is seven‐coordinated by one N atom and six O atoms from four 4,4′‐bipyridine‐2,2′,6,6′‐tetracarboxylate (BPTCA4−) ligands. The geometric centre of the BPTCA4− anion lies on an inversion centre. Each pyridine‐2,6‐dicarboxylate moiety of the BPTCA4− ligand links four PbII cations via its pyridyl N atom and two carboxylate groups to form two‐dimensional sheets. The centrosymmetric BPTCA4− ligand then acts as a linker between the sheets, which results in a three‐dimensional metal–organic framework.  相似文献

Salts containing bis‐phosphonio‐benzophospholide cations 2 a – d with an additional donor site in one of the phosphonio‐moieties were synthesized either via quaternisation of the Ph2P moiety in the neutral phosphonio‐benzophospholide 3 , or via ring‐closure of the functionalized bis‐phosphonium ion 6 . The Ph2P‐substituted cation 2 d formed chelate complexes [M(k2P,P′‐ 2 d )(CO)n]+ with M(CO)n = Ni(CO)2, Fe(CO)3, Cr(CO)4. In the latter case, competition between formation of the chelate and a complex [Cr(kP‐ 2 d )2(CO)4]2+ was observed, and interpreted as a consequence of antagonism between the stabilizing chelate effect and destabilizing ligand–ligand repulsions. The formation of stable PdII and PtII complexes of 2 d suggests that the chelate effect may also overcome the kinetic inhibition which so far prevented isolation of complexes of these metals with bis‐phosphonio‐benzophospholides. The newly synthesized ligands and complexes were characterized by spectroscopic data, and an X‐ray crystal structure analysis of 2 a [Br]. The reactivity of chelate complexes towards Ph3P indicates that the ring phosphorus atom is a weaker donor than the pendant Ph2P‐group.  相似文献

A series of d‐block metal complexes of the recently reported coordinating neutral radical ligand 1‐phenyl‐3‐(pyrid‐2‐yl)‐1,4‐dihydro‐1,2,4‐benzotriazin‐4‐yl ( 1 ) was synthesized. The investigated systems contain the benzotriazinyl radical 1 coordinated to a divalent metal cation, MnII, FeII, CoII, or NiII, with 1,1,1,5,5,5‐hexafluoroacetylacetonato (hfac) as the auxiliary ligand of choice. The synthesized complexes were fully characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, magnetic susceptibility measurements, and electronic structure calculations. The complexes [Mn( 1 )(hfac)2] and [Fe( 1 )(hfac)2] displayed antiferromagnetic coupling between the unpaired electrons of the ligand and the metal cation, whereas the interaction was found to be ferromagnetic in the analogous NiII complex [Ni( 1 )(hfac)2]. The magnetic properties of the complex [Co( 1 )(hfac)2] were difficult to interpret owing to significant spin–orbit coupling inherent to octahedral high‐spin CoII metal ion. As a whole, the reported data clearly demonstrated the favorable coordinating properties of the radical 1 , which, together with its stability and structural tunability, make it an excellent new building block for establishing more complex metal–radical architectures with interesting magnetic properties.  相似文献

We introduce a simple method to create nanosized, ordered, and highly luminescent thin film of Eu (III)–block copolymer complex. Micelles of polystyrene–block‐poly(4‐vinylpyridine) (PS‐b‐P4VP) in P4VP‐selective solvents (ethanol/N,N‐dimethylformamide (DMF) mixture) serve as nanoreactors for the synthesis of Eu(III)–block copolymer complex with the presence of 1,10‐phenanthroline (Phen) as cooperative ligand. The resulted quaternary complexes were characterized by FT‐IR spectra, 15N NMR spectra, and elemental analysis, indicative of a composition of Eu(III)–(PS‐b‐P4VP)–Phen–5DMF. Atomic force microscopy and transmission electron microscopy investigations reveal that the Eu(III)–(PS‐b‐P4VP)–Phen–5DMF complex can self‐organize into hexagonally ordered thin films when dip‐coated from the solution onto silicon or silica glass substrates. Such ordered thin films can emit red fluorescence of Eu3+ with strong intensity and long lifetime. This method can be easily extended to prepare other ordered luminescent rare earth–polymer complexes thin films. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Carbon monoxide (CO) has recently been shown to impart beneficial effects in mammalian physiology and considerable research attention is now being directed toward metal–carbonyl complexes as a means of delivering CO to biological targets. Two ruthenium carbonyl complexes, namely trans‐dicarbonyldichlorido(4,5‐diazafluoren‐9‐one‐κ2N,N′)ruthenium(II), [RuCl2(C11H6N2O)(CO)2], (1), and fac‐tricarbonyldichlorido(4,5‐diazafluoren‐9‐one‐κN)ruthenium(II), [RuCl2(C11H6N2O)(CO)3], (2), have been isolated and structurally characterized. In the case of complex (1), the trans‐directing effect of the CO ligands allows bidentate coordination of the 4,5‐diazafluoren‐9‐one (dafo) ligand despite a larger bite distance between the N‐donor atoms. In complex (2), the cis disposition of two chloride ligands restricts the ability of the dafo molecule to bind ruthenium in a bidentate fashion. Both complexes exhibit well defined 1H NMR spectra confirming the diamagnetic ground state of RuII and display a strong absorption band around 300 nm in the UV.  相似文献

As an extension of recent findings on the recovery of palladium with dithioether extractants, single crystals of the chelating vicinal thioether sulfoxide ligand rac‐1‐[(2‐methoxyethyl)sulfanyl]‐2‐[(2‐methoxyethyl)sulfinyl]benzene, C12H18O3S2, (I), and its square‐planar dichloridopalladium complex, rac‐dichlorido{1‐[(2‐methoxyethyl)sulfanyl]‐2‐[(2‐methoxyethyl)sulfinyl]benzene‐κ2S,S′}palladium(II), [PdCl2(C12H18O3S2)], (II), have been synthesized and their structures analysed. The molecular structure of (II) is the first ever characterized involving a dihalogenide–PdII complex in which the palladium is bonded to both a thioether and a sulfoxide functional group. The structural and stereochemical characteristics of the ligand are compared with those of the analogous dithioether compound [Traeger et al. (2012). Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. pp. 2341–2352]. The sulfinyl O atom suppresses the electron‐pushing and mesomeric effect of the S—C...;C—S unit in ligand (I), resulting in bond lengths significantly different than in the dithioether reference compound. In contrast, in complex (II), those bond lengths are nearly the same as in the analogous dithioether complex. As observed previously, there is an interaction between the central PdII atom and the O atom that is situated above the plane.  相似文献

1,2‐O‐Cyclohexylidene‐4‐aza‐8‐aminooctane (L) has been synthesized starting from 1‐chloro‐2,3‐O‐cyclohexylidene, which has been prepared by the reaction of epichlorohydrin with cyclohexanone. The complexes of this ligand with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and UO2(VI) salts were prepared. The structures of the ligand and its complexes are proposed based on elemental analyses, IR, UV‐vis, 1H, and 13C NMR spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, thermogravimetric analyses, and differential thermal analyses. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The title compounds, tris(1,10‐phenanthroline‐κ2N,N′)iron(II) bis(2,4,5‐tricarboxybenzoate) monohydrate, [Fe(C12H8N2)3](C10H5O8)2·H2O, (I), and tris(2,2′‐bipyridine‐κ2N,N′)iron(II) 2,5‐dicarboxybenzene‐1,4‐dicarboxylate–benzene‐1,2,4,5‐tetracarboxylic acid–water (1/1/2), [Fe(C10H8N2)3](C10H4O8)·C10H6O8·2H2O, (II), were obtained during an attempt to synthesize a mixed‐ligand complex of FeII with an N‐containing ligand and benzene‐1,2,4,5‐tetracarboxylic acid via a solvothermal reaction. In both mononuclear complexes, each FeII metal ion is six‐coordinated in a distorted octahedral manner by six N atoms from three chelating 1,10‐phenanthroline or 2,2′‐bipyridine ligands. In compound (I), the FeII atom lies on a twofold axis in the space group C2/c, whereas (II) crystallizes in the space group P21/n. In both compounds, the uncoordinated carboxylate anions and water molecules are linked by typical O—H...O hydrogen bonds, generating extensive three‐dimensional hydrogen‐bond networks which surround the cations.  相似文献

Three coordination polymers, namely [Co(BDC)( L )] · H2O ( 1 ), [Co(NPH)( L )] · H2O ( 2 ), and [Ni(NPH)( L )(H2O)3] · H2O ( 3 ) [H2BDC = 1, 3‐benzenedicarboxylic acid, H2NPH = 3‐nitrophthalic acid, L = N,N′‐bis(3‐pyridyl)‐terephthalamide] were hydrothermally synthesized by self‐assembly of cobalt/nickel chloride with a semi‐rigid bis‐pyridyl‐bis‐amide ligand and two aromatic dicarboxylic acids. Single crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses revealed that complexes 1 and 2 are two‐dimensional (2D) coordination polymers containing a one‐dimensional (1D) ribbon‐like Co‐dicarboxylate chain and a 1D zigzag Co‐ L chain. Although the coordination numbers of CoII ions and the coordination modes of two dicarboxylates are different in complexes 1 and 2 , they have a similar 3, 5‐connected {42.67.8}{42.6} topology. In complex 3 , the adjacent NiII ions are linked by L ligands to form a 1D polymeric chain, whereas the 1D chains does not extend into a higher‐dimensional structure due to the ligand NPH with monodentate coordination mode. The adjacent layers of complexes 1 and 2 and the adjacent chains of 3 are further linked by hydrogen bonding interactions to form 3D supramolecular networks. Moreover, the thermal stabilities, fluorescent properties, and photocatalytic activities of complexes 1 – 3 were studied.  相似文献

Platinum complexes are a great interest of study, because of the antitumor activity and the clinical use of some of them in the recent anticancer chemotherapy. In many cases, computational studies can be very useful for predicting the structure and some physicochemical properties of metal complexes. Theoretical calculations can also be used for the rational design of new complexes with optimal ratio: antitumor activity/toxicity. The geometry of three new Pt(II) complexes with general formula cis‐[PtL2X2] (where L is 5‐methyl‐5(4‐pyridyl)hydantoin and X = Cl?, Br?, I?) and of the free organic ligand were optimized using the hybrid DFT method B3LYP with LAN2DZ basis sets. The results were in very good correlation with the data of similar compounds from the literature. The same DFT method was used for the study of their spectral behavior, by reproducing their IR and Raman spectra and comparing them with experimental data. In addition, the distribution of charges by ESP analysis was calculated. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J Quantum Chem, 2009  相似文献
