The influence of the degree of ripeness of the seeds of the cotton plant on their lipid composition has been studied. It has been established that as the seeds ripen their lipid composition becomes simpler, and in the developing cotton seeds the biosynthesis of triglycerides takes place with the participation of the mono-and diacylglycerides as intermediates.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR, Tashkent. The total fatty acids of cotton seeds include 31 components. The 18:3 acid that is the main component of the early-ripe seeds is present mostly in the mono-, di-, and triacylglycerides. The distribution of the fatty acids in the triacylglycerides of the early-ripe seeds is not characterized by selectivity.  相似文献

A comparative study has been made of the lipid composition of defective and first-grade cotton seeds after their prolonged storage under industrial conditions. On the basis of the change in the lipids of the seeds subjected to thermal spoilage it is proposed to consider the process of spontaneous heating as a group of enzymatic processes taking place mainly in not fully ripe seeds when they are damaged by pathogenic microflora.  相似文献

The effect of methanol on the change of phospholipid composition of germinating cotton seeds was studied. It was shown that adding methanol to the germination medium caused the formation of the new phospholipid phosphatidylmethanol. __________ Translated from Khimiya Prirodnykh Soedinenii, No. 2, pp. 121–123, March–April, 2008.  相似文献

The influence of a number of defoliants on the gossypol pigments of cotton seeds of variety S-4880 has been studied. It was established that the qualitative compositions of the pigments of the defoliant-treated plants and of the control plants were identical. However, their quantitative composition in seeds treated with defoliants having a severe action had changed substantially: they contained larger amounts of the bound forms of gossypol than in the variants with defoliants having a mild action.Institute of Chemistry of Plant Substances, Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, Tashkent. The qualitative and quantitative set of lipid components of the seeds of healthy cotton plants of the variety Tashkent-1 and plants infected with verticillium wilt have been studied. It has been established that the compositions of the lipids of the two samples differ considerably. The greatest differences are observed in the amounts of total lipids, gossypol, and low-molecular-weight volatile acids.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR, Tashkent. The compositions and amounts of polar lipids in cotton seeds and the products of their processing have been investigated. Six glycolipids have been identified, the main ones being monogalactosyldiglyceride (MGDGs), digalactosyldiglycerides (DGDGs), and sterol glycosides. The fatty acid compositions of the neutral lipids and of the phospho- and glycolipids have been determined. In the glycolipids, saturated fatty acids — palmitic and stearic — predominated.Institute of Chemistry of Plant Substances, Uzbekistan Republic Academy of Sciences, Tashkent. The oil contents and the fatty acid compositions of the lipids of cotton seeds of varieties AN-402 and AN-9 grown under the influence of ultradisperse powders (UDPs) of iron and copper have been studied. Changes in the absolute weight, oil content, and fatty acid composition of the seeds have been shown. The action of an iron UDP led to an appreciable fall in the amount of palmitic acid in the AN-402 variety and a rise in the oleic acid content.Translated from Khimiya Prirodnykh Soedinenii, No. 2, pp. 165–167, March–April, 1998.  相似文献

Summary The yields of the free and bound lipids of the seed kernels of cotton plants of varieties S-4727 and S-6029 have been determined by their successive treatment with selective solvent, and the total and fractional proportions of lipid phosphorus have been found. The phospholipids have been solated and their group composition has been determined; it has been established that the main components are phosphatidylcholines, phosphatidylinositols, and phosphatidylethanolamines, while polyglycerophosphatides, lysophosphatidylcholines, and unidentified polar phospholipid are present in small amounts. The fatty-acid compositions of the free and bound lipids and phospholipids have been studied.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of the Uzbek SSR. The yields and fatty acid compositions of the free lipids and lipids weakly and strongly bound to proteins from seeds of cottonplant varieties resistant and susceptible to verticillium wilt have been determined and the changes in these indices in the seeds of the infected plants have been measured. It has been established that the seeds of healthy plants of the two varieties are similar in the qualitative compositions of the lipids and fatty acids but differ with respect the amounts of lipids in them bound with protein in different ways and with respect to the amounts of the individual fatty acids. The observed changes in the lipid and fatty-acid compositions depend on the degree of resistance of the variety to wilt.  相似文献

The lipid and pigment compositions of crude and refined bleached cottonseed oil have been studied and the influence of the technological treatment on the composition and structure of the components is discussed. It has been found that the color and the difficult refinability of the crude oil are due partially to the presence in it of stable radical dications of gossypol photoinduced in the presence of O2.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR, Tashkent.
