We prove the global existence and blow-up of solutions of an initial boundary value problem for nonlinear nonlocal parabolic equation with nonlinear nonlocal boundary condition. Obtained results depend on the behavior of variable coefficients for large values of time.  相似文献

Using the upper and lower solution techniques and Hopf's maximum principle, the sufficient conditions for the existence of blow-up positive solution and global positive solution are obtained for a class of quasilinear parabolic equations subject to Neumann boundary conditions. An upper bound for the ‘blow-up time’, an upper estimate of the ‘blow-up rate’, and an upper estimate of the global solution are also specified.  相似文献

In this article, we investigate the positive solution of a localized quasilinear parabolic system with nonlocal boundary conditions. Under certain conditions, the global existence and finite time blow-up criteria are established, and the global blow-up behaviour is also obtained.  相似文献

The authors discuss the quasilinear parabolic equation ut=∇⋅(g(u)∇u)+h(u,∇u)+f(u) with u|Ω=0, u(x,0)=?(x). If f, g and h are polynomials with proper degrees and proper coefficients, they show that the blowup property only depends on the first eigenvalue of −Δ in Ω with Dirichlet boundary condition. For a special case, they obtain a sharp result.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider an initial‐boundary value problem for a parabolic equation with nonlinear boundary conditions. The solution to the problem can be expressed as a convolution integral of a Green's function and two unknown functions. We change the problem to a system of two nonlinear Volterra integral equations of convolution type. By using an explicit procedure on the basis of Sinc‐function properties, the resulting integral equations are replaced by a system of nonlinear algebraic equations, whose solution yields an accurate approximate solution to the parabolic problem. Some examples are considered to illustrate the ability of the proposed method. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This article deals with the degenerate parabolic system with nonlinear boundary flux. By constructing the self-similar supersolution and subsolution, we obtain the critical global existence curve and the critical Fujita curve for the problem. Especially for the blow-up case, it is rather technical. It comes from the construction of the so-called Zel’dovich-Kompaneetz-Barenblatt profile.  相似文献

In this article, we deal with the global existence and nonexistence of solutions to the non-Newtonian polytropic filtration equations coupled with nonlinear boundary conditions. By constructing various kinds of sub- and super-solutions and using the basic properties of M-matrix, we give the necessary and sufficient conditions for global existence of nonnegative solutions. The critical curve of Fujita type is conjectured with the aid of some new results, which extend the recent results of Zheng, Song, and Jiang [Critical Fujita exponents for degenerate parabolic equations coupled via nonlinear boundary flux, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 298 (2004), pp. 308–324], Zhou and Mu [Critical curve for a non-Newtonian polytropic filtration system coupled via nonlinear boundary flux, Nonlinear Anal. 68 (2008), pp. 1–11], and Zhou and Mu [Algebraic criteria for global existence or blow-up for a boundary coupled system of nonlinear diffusion equations, Appl. Anal. 86 (2007), pp. 1185–1197] to more general equations.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the study of the existence of insensitizing controls for the parabolic equation with equivalued surface boundary conditions. The insensitizing problem consists in finding a control function such that some energy functional of the equation is locally insensitive to a perturbation of the initial data. As usual, this problem can be reduced to a partially null controllability problem for a cascade system of two parabolic equations with equivalued surface boundary conditions. Compared the problems with usual boundary conditions, in the present case we need to derive a new global Carleman estimate, for which, in particular one needs to construct a new weight function to match the equivalued surface boundary conditions.  相似文献

In this paper we are interested in the large time behavior as t→+∞ of the viscosity solutions of parabolic equations with nonlinear Neumann type boundary conditions in connection with ergodic boundary problems which have been recently studied by Barles and the author in [G. Barles, F. Da Lio, On the boundary ergodic problem for fully nonlinear equations in bounded domains with general nonlinear Neumann boundary conditions, Ann. Inst. H. Poincaré Anal. Non Linèaire 22 (5) (2005) 521-541].  相似文献

By a dual method, two Carleman estimates for forward and backward stochastic parabolic equations with Neumann boundary conditions are established. Then they are used to study a null controllability problem and a state observation problem for some stochastic forward parabolic equations with Neumann boundary conditions.  相似文献

This article is concerned with a fourth-order parabolic equation. Based on the regularity estimates for the semigroups and the classical existence theorem of global attractors, we prove that the fourth-order parabolic equation possesses a global attractor in H k (0?≤?k?H k (Ω) in the H k -norm.  相似文献

This paper deals with the blow‐up phenomena for a system of parabolic equations with nonlinear boundary conditions. We show that under some conditions on the nonlinearities, blow‐up occurs at some finite time. We also obtain upper and lower bounds for the blow‐up time when blow‐up occurs. This paper deals with a semi-linear parabolic system with nonlinear nonlocal sources and nonlocal boundaries.By using super-and sub-solution techniques,we first give the sufficient conditions that the classical solution exists globally and blows up in a finite time respectively, and then give the necessary and sufficient conditions that two components u and v blow up simultaneously. Finally, the uniform blow-up profiles in the interior are presented.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to investigate the existence, uniqueness, and asymptotic behavior of solutions for a coupled system of quasilinear parabolic equations under nonlinear boundary conditions, including a system of quasilinear parabolic and ordinary differential equations. Also investigated is the existence of positive maximal and minimal solutions of the corresponding quasilinear elliptic system as well as the uniqueness of a positive steady-state solution. The elliptic operators in both systems are allowed to be degenerate in the sense that the density-dependent diffusion coefficients Di(ui) may have the property Di(0)=0 for some or all i. Our approach to the problem is by the method of upper and lower solutions and its associated monotone iterations. It is shown that the time-dependent solution converges to the maximal solution for one class of initial functions and it converges to the minimal solution for another class of initial functions; and if the maximal and minimal solutions coincide then the steady-state solution is unique and the time-dependent solution converges to the unique solution. Applications of these results are given to three model problems, including a porous medium type of problem, a heat-transfer problem, and a two-component competition model in ecology. These applications illustrate some very interesting distinctive behavior of the time-dependent solutions between density-independent and density-dependent diffusions.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the question of necessary conditions for optimality for systems governed by second-order parabolic partial delay-differential equations with first boundary conditions. All the coefficients of the system are assumed bounded measurable and contain controls and delays in their arguments. The second-order parabolic partial delay-differential equation is in divergence form. In Theorem 4.1, we present results on the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions in the sense of Ladyzhenskaya-Solonnikov-Ural'ceva for this class of systems. An integral maximum principle and its point-wise version for the corresponding controlled system are established in Theorem 5.1 and Corollary 5.1, respectively. The authors wish to thank Dr. E. Noussair for his stimulating discussion and valuable comments in the preparation of this paper. Further, they also wish to acknowledge the referee of the paper for his valuable suggestions and comments. The discussion presented in Section 6 is in response to his suggestions.  相似文献
