In general Stokes problems, no boundary conditions exist for the pressure. But pressure is an L2(Ω) function and can uniquely be represented as the divergence of a precisely defined vector field. In the 2-D case, this vector field can in turn be represented as the sum of a gradient (of a pressure-potential) and the curl of a second scalar potential. The latter potential is entirely determined by the first one. A variational equation is obtained for such pressure potential class, which exists and is uniquely characterized. This variational problem is well-posed. Finite element approximations can easily be realized and ensure high convergence rates for the L2(Ω) norm of the pressure.  相似文献

An experiment was implemented to study fluid flow in a pressure media. This procedure successfully combines nuclear magnetic resonance imaging with a pressure membrane chamber in order to visualize the non-wetting and wetting fluid flows with controlled boundary conditions. A specially designed pressure membrane chamber, made of non-magnetic materials and able to withstand 4 MPa, was designed and built for this purpose. These two techniques were applied to the drainage of Douglas fir sapwood. In the study of the longitudinal flow, narrow drainage fingers are formed in the latewood zones. They follow the longitudinal direction of wood and spread throughout the sample length. These fingers then enlarge in the cross-section plane and coalesce until drainage reaches the whole latewood part. At the end of the experiments, when the drainage of liquid water in latewood is completed, just a few sites of percolation appear in earlywood zones. This difference is a result of the wood anatomical structure, where pits, the apertures that allow the sap to flow between wood cells, are more easily aspirated in earlywood than in latewood.  相似文献

采用高压电点火进行直接起爆形成爆轰,起爆能量通过放电过程中电流的输出信号确定。首先通过实验测定并对比C2H2-O2-Ar和C2H2-N2O-Ar等2种混合物在各种初始状态下直接起爆形成爆轰的临界起爆能量。实验结果表明,在相同状态下C2H2-N2O-Ar混合物的临界起爆能量显著高于C2H2-O2-Ar混合物的。进一步基于各物质爆炸特征长度和爆轰临界管径的参量关系对临界起爆能量差异性进行分析,得到了C2H2-N2O-Ar混合气体的爆轰临界管径预测曲线,并在此基础上得出C2H2-N2O-Ar混合物爆炸特征长度与临界管径的关系为r0=2.5dc,而C2H2-O2-Ar两者关系为r0=2dc。结果清晰地表明,使用N2O 作为氧化剂,爆炸特征长度与爆轰临界管径之间的比例因数增大,表明该物质直接起爆形成爆轰所需的起爆源单位能量增大,因而直接形成爆轰的临界能量相应提高。  相似文献

The paper reports the results of an experimental study on pressure drop during horizontal flow boiling of refrigerants R22, R507, R404A, R134a, R407C and R410A. The test section is a smooth, horizontal, stainless steel tube (6 mm I.D., 6 m length) uniformly heated by Joule effect. The experimental tests are carried out at an almost constant evaporating pressure of 7.0 bar varying the mass flow rate in the range 280–1,080 kg/m2 s. The experimental comparison clearly shown that the pressure drop of R22 is significantly higher as compared to all the other fluids. The results are compared against well-known pressure drop prediction methods. The available correlations can be used for both pure fluids and mixtures with no corrective factors, provided the mixture properties are evaluated at local compositions. The Chawla friction correlation is the best-fitting of our experimental data in combination with the heterogeneous momentum pressure drop model on the basis of the Rouhani-Axelsson void fraction correlation.  相似文献

We experimentally studied the displacement of a viscous wetting fluid (water) by an inviscid non-wetting fluid (air) injected at the bottom of a vertical Hele-Shaw cell filled with glass microbeads. In order to cover a wide parameter space, the permeability of the porous medium was varied by using different bead size ranges and diverse air flow rates were generated by means of a syringe pump. A LED light table was used to back illuminate the experimental cell, allowing a high speed camera to capture images of the drainage process at equal time intervals. The invasion occurred in intermittent bursts. Image processing of the bursts and fractal analysis showed successive transitions from capillary invasion to viscous fingering to fracturing during the same experiment, dependent on the medium permeability, the air injection flow rate, and the vertical position in the cell. The interplay between the capillary, viscous and gravity forces determines the nature of the invasion pattern and the transitions, from capillary invasion to viscous fingering with decreasing fluid pressure on one hand and from viscous fingering to fracturing with decreasing effective overburden pressure on the other hand.  相似文献
