Intermediate energy nuclear photoabsorption and Compton scattering within the Δ-hole approach are studied. The same Δ-nucleus dynamics used to describe a variety of pion-induced reactions are employed. A dynamical model for the photon-nucleon amplitude is constructed, including both resonant-channel and nonresonant backgrounds in addition to Δ-excitation. Medium corrections to the full amplitude are included for nuclear seattering. A doorway state expansion allows one to discuss quantitatively the role of various contributions to the Δ-hole Hamiltonian, thereby clarifying the level of sensitivity to the structure of the Δ spreading potential. The reactive content of the total cross section is diseussed. The results are compared with available photoabsorption data for 4He, 12C and 16O. We present results for the Δ contribution to the electron seattering transverse response function, for coherent π0 photoproduction, and for nuclear elastic Compton seattering. The photoabsorption strength is spread over a larger energy range by the Δ dynamics, in agreement with the data, but is centered at too high an energy. The helicity flip Compton cross section is especially sensitive to the Δ-nucleus interaction, such as the spin-orbit potential strength.  相似文献

Scattering of 7Li by 120Sn targets at Elab = 44 MeV is investigated in the coupled-channel frame by taking account of the projectile virtual excitations to the lowest three excited states. Calculations are performed by the cluster-folding (CF) interactions and the double-folding (DF) one. Both interactions reproduce very well the experimental data on the cross section, the vector analyzing power, the second-rank tensor ones and the third-rank tensor one in elastic and projectile inelastic scattering, although some differences are found between the CF results and the DF ones. In the calculation, the virtual excitations of the projectile are important for most of the analyzing powers and the spin-orbit interaction is indispensable for the vector analyzing power. These features are in contrast to those in 7Li-58Ni scattering at 20 MeV and are interpreted as over-Coulomb-barrier effects. The scattering amplitudes and the analyzing powers are investigated by the invariant amplitude method, which provides a key connecting the spin-dependent interactions to the analyzing powers. The method proposes an important relationship between the tensor analyzing powers, which is useful in analyses of both theoretical and experimental results. Finally, it is found that in the elastic scattering the second-rank tensor analyzing powers are proportional to the strength of the second-rank tensor interaction and the vector and third-rank tensor analyzing powers to the square or cube of the strength of this interaction, while in the inelastic scattering the cross section is proportional to the square of the strength of the tensor interaction, other quantities being weakly dependent on the strength.  相似文献

Using the181Ta(n, γ) and141Pr(n, γ) reactions to provide a dense series of intenseγ-rays, photoexcitation of the238U nucleus has been studied in the 4–7 MeV range. It is shown that most of the effective cross sections are in line with an average strength function as given by the GDR Lorentzian line superimposed by Porter-Thomas fluctuations. Resonances of nonstatistical strength are found close to 5.2 MeV.  相似文献

A quark-cluster model supplemented by an effective-meson-exchange potential (EMEP) is applied to the NN 3P scattering using the resonating group method (RGM). The repulsive central and the attractive spin-orbit NN interactions are obtained from the quark-exchange interaction including the symmetric spin-orbit term in the one-gluon-exchange potential. When the long- and medium-range central and tensor forces between nucleons are introduced as the EMEP, the results obtained seem to explain a considerable part of the empirical spin-orbit effect in the 3P scattering phase shifts.  相似文献

The neutron capture cross sections of the stable molybdenum isotopes have been measured with high energy resolution (ΔE/E ? 0.2 %), between 3 and 90 keV neutron energy, at the 40 m station of ORELA. Average resonance parameters are extracted for s- and p-wave resonances. The s-wave neutron strength function is close to 0.5 × 10?4 for all isotopes, but the p-wave strength function exhibits a well defined peak near At~ 95.Both s- and p-wave radiative widths decrease markedly as further neutrons are added to the closed shell. The p-wave radiative widths are generally greater than the s-wave widths showing the presence of non-statistical γ-decay mechanisms.Valence neutron theory fails to explain the magnitude of the p- to s-wave radiative width disparity and doorway state processes are invoked. In particular, the data for 98Mo appear to violate the usual valence theory, since the correlations between radiative and neutron strengths are small. Further, the radiative widths are smaller than can be explained on the valence model. An explanation for the loss of valence strength is advanced.Interpolated resonance parameters allow an estimate for the unknown cross section for 99Mo(n, γ).  相似文献

The pionization region of the inclusive single-particle spectrum is accounted for by double pomeron exchange in the absorptive part of a six-point amplitude. In this paper a multiperipheral model for the six-point amplitude with double pomeron exchange is used for continuation by crossing and analyticity to the physical region of the exclusive two particle → four particle production process. The cross section for π? p → π?(π+π?)p in the double-Regge region is then calculated and compared with the experimental analysis of Lipes, Zweig and Robertson which sets an upper bound to the strength of the double pomeron exchange coupling. This upper bound, coupled with the model for continuation to the inclusive cross section, is shown to give too small a magnitude for the double pomeron exchange in the pionization region. Further avenues for investigation are discussed.  相似文献

The differential cross sections for the inelastic scattering of 10 MeV, 19.6 MeV, 30.4 MeV, 40 MeV and 49.35 MeV protons to the 2+ state (1.409 MeV) in 54Fe and of 19.6 MeV protons to the 2+ state (0.846 MeV) in 56Fe are analyzed in conjunction with the available data on the asymmetries and spin-flip probability amplitudes. The scattering amplitudes for both one step (valence plus core polarization) and two step (intermediate resonance) processes are evaluated using an antisymmetrized distorted wave approximation. Collective model representations for both the one step (core polarization) and two step (intermediate resonance) processes are used, and included are the effects of deforming the full Thomas spin-orbit potentials. The one step processes are fixed by the analyses of the scattering of 30.4, 40 and 49.35 MeV protons, with the core polarization contributions being constrained by the B(E2) values for the γ-ray deexcitation of the 2+ states. The analyses of the 19.6 MeV data demonstrates the need for an extra (two step) contribution to the reaction process and are consistent with the virtual formation of an L = 3 giant resonance. The 10 MeV data most certainly demonstrate compound nucleus effects but could also have some strength due to the virtual formation of an intermediate L = 2 giant resonance. The resonance parameters are consistent with recent information concerning the mass variation of giant resonances.  相似文献

This letter presents an extension of EPL116(2017)62001 to light- and strange-quark nonequilibrium chemical phase-space occupancy factors (γq,s). The resulting damped trigonometric functionalities relating γq,s to the nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energies (\(\sqrt {{s_{NN}}} \)) looks very similar except different coefficients. The phenomenology of the resulting γq,s(\(\sqrt {{s_{NN}}} \)) describes a rapid decrease at \(\sqrt {{s_{NN}}} \) ? 7GeV followed by a faster increase up to ~20 GeV. Then, both γq,s become nonsensitive to \(\sqrt {{s_{NN}}} \). Although these differ from γ s (\(\sqrt {{s_{NN}}} \))obtained at γ q (\(\sqrt {{s_{NN}}} \))=1, various particle ratios including K++, K??, Λ/π?, Λ?/π?, Ξ++, and Ω/π?, can well be reproduced, as well. We conclude that γq,s(\(\sqrt {{s_{NN}}} \)) should be instead determined from fits of various particle yields and ratios but not merely from fits to the particle ratio K++.  相似文献

A combined analysis of the available data on the primaryγ-ray intensities from the113Cd(n, γ) reaction atE n=1.9 and 24.3 keV neutron energies together with the data on113Cd neutron capture cross sections in theE n=3–200 keV energy region was carried out. The neutron strength functions were determined asS n0=(0.260±0.073) 10?4 and Sn1=(5.06±0.67) 10?4. No spin-orbit splitting of thep-wave neutron strength function was found. The energy dependence of theE 1 radiative strength function {ie147-01} was fitted by the Kadmenski-Furman model somewhat better than by a standard Lorentzian. TheM 1 giant resonance parameters were obtained as E G M 1 =8.8±1.6 MeV and Γ G M 1 = 4.7±2.6 MeV. The neutron capture cross section of113Cd from its isomeric state ({ie147-02}=11/2?, E 1 m =263.7 keV) was calculated.  相似文献

The partial production cross sections for reaction residues produced by the fusion of 16O with 16O have been measured at Ec.m = 9–30 MeV by detecting the characteristic γ-rays with a Ge(Li) detector. The dominant products are 24Mg and 27A1 corresponding to 2α and αp emission from the compound nucleus, respectively. The total γ-producing cross sections σR were also derived by summing the partial cross sections after correction for the observed (average) γ-ray angular distributions. The trend in the total cross sections is very similar to the trends derived from an optical model or a statistical-evaporation model calculation. The partial production cross sections were compared with other experimental results at 11.9 MeV and 30 MeV and with the results of the statistical-model calculation. It is concluded that the treatment of angular momentum in the calculation is inadequate for describing the partial cross sections. Structure in the partial and total cross section excitation functions is observed with minima occurring at Ec.m. = 27, 24, 20, 17.5, and possibly 15 MeV. Some of this structure is well established by the statistical accuracy of the data and most, but perhaps not all of it, is correlated in the various channels. This structure is compared with that observed in another experiment and some of its implications are discussed.  相似文献

The M3Y double folding model is used to calculate real central and spin-orbit potentials for 3He elastic scattering. These potentials are used to fit cross sections and analysing powers at 33 MeV for targets ranging from 16O to 58Ni. The real central potential needs a normalization factor of about 0.85, but no change in the strength of the spin-orbit potential is necessary. Comparison is made with phenomenological and other microscopic studies of 3He elastic scattering.  相似文献

The inclusive K +-meson production in photon-induced reactions in the near-threshold and subthreshold energy regimes is analyzed for the one-step (γNK + Y, Y=Λ, Σ) incoherent production processes on the basis of an appropriate new folding model that takes properly into account the struck-target nucleonremoval energy and the internal momentum distribution (nucleon spectral function), extracted from recent quasielastic-electron-scattering experiments and from many-body calculations based on realistic models of NN interaction. Simple parametrizations of the total and differential cross sections for K + production in photon-nucleon collisions are presented. A comparison of the model calculations of the K + differential cross sections for γ12C interactions in the threshold region with existing experimental data is given, which displays the contributions to K + production at considered incident energies from the use of the single-particle part, as well as high momentum and high removal energy part, of the nucleon spectral function. Detailed predictions for the K + total and differential cross sections for γ2H, γ12C, and γ208Pb interactions at subthreshold and near-threshold energies are provided. The effect of the uncertainties in the elementary K +-production cross sections on the K + yield is explored.  相似文献

The double folding model is used to calculate real central and spin-orbit potentials for triton elastic scattering. These potentials are used to fit cross sections and analysing powers at 17 MeV for targets ranging from 26Mg to 208Pb. For most targets the data are described as well as with phenomenological potentials. The real central potential can be used without any substantial renormalisation, but the spin-orbit potential needs to be increased in strength by a factor between 2 and 6. Comparisons are made with phenomenological studies of triton and 3He elastic scattering and with similar microscopic studies of 3He scattering.  相似文献

The cross section of the reaction 6Li(p, γ)7Be has been measured using Ge(Li) γ-ray spectrometers for proton bombarding energies Ep from 200 keV to 1200 keV. At Ep = 800 keV, the total (p, γ) integrated cross section is found to be 3.1 ± 0.4 μb. The cross section adopted from consideration of this and previous measurements is in good agreement with that predicted from the known thermal neutron cross section for 6Li(n, γ)7Li on the assumption that properties of mirror direct capture reactions can be well described by optical potentials that use the same parmeter values for the two reactions.  相似文献

Partial cross sections for the (p, γ) reaction on the 89Y nucleus that were measured previously at proton energies between 2.17 and 5.00 MeV and which were averaged over resonances were used to determine the absolute values and the energy distribution of the strength of dipole transitions from compound-nucleus states to low-lying levels of the 90Zr nucleus. The data obtained in this way were compared with the predictions of various models.  相似文献

The absolute values and the shape of the double differential cross sections of the resonance inelastic scattering of a linearly polarized x-ray photon in the energy region of the ionization threshold of the deep 1s shell of the Ne atom and the Si4+ and Ar8+ neon-like ions are calculated in the nonrelativistic approximation for the wave functions of one-electron states and in the dipole approximation for the scattering probability amplitude. The multiparticle effects of radial relaxation of electronic shells in the field of a deep vacancy and of stabilization of the deep vacancy as a neutral atom transforms to a multiply charged positive ion, as well as the effect of the spin-orbit splitting of the 2p valence shell, are taken into account. The calculation results are predictive in character.  相似文献

Nucleus--nucleus potentials are determined in the framework of double folding model for M3Y--Reid and M3Y--Paris effective nucleon--nucleon (NN) interactions. Both zero-range and finite-range exchange parts of NN interactions are considered in the folding procedure. In this paper the spherical projectile--spherical target system 16O+208Pb is selected for calculating the barrier energies, fusion cross sections and barrier distributions with the density-independent and density-dependent NN interactions on the basis of M3Y--Reid and M3Y--Paris NN interactions. The barrier energies become lower for Paris NN interactions in comparison with Reid NN interactions, and also for finite-range exchange part in comparison with zero-range exchange part. The density-dependent NN interactions give similar fusion cross sections and barrier distributions, and the density-independent NN interaction causes the barrier distribution moving to a higher position. However, the density-independent Reid NN interaction with zero-range exchange part gives the lowest fusion cross sections. We find that the calculated fusion cross sections and the barrier distributions are in agreement with the experimental data after renormalization of the nuclear potential due to coupled-channel effect.  相似文献

In view of its application to the analysis of medium energy photonuclear reactions we have obtained an operator valid, to order (pm)2, in any frame of reference. We have started from a model where the pion photoproduction on a nucleon is described by the Born terms and the s-channel Δ(1236) formation amplitude and we have deduced the non-relativistic limit of the corresponding matrix elements. Both pseudo-scalar and pseudo-vector pion-nucleon couplings are compared. The Δ(1236) parameters are chosen so as to lead to a good account of pion-nucleon reaction cross sections. The agreement with the charged photoproduction data is very good from threshold through the Δ(1236) energy region, whereas the addition of ω0 exchange in the t-channel is necessary to reproduce the neutral pion photoproduction cross sections. As an example this operator is used to derive the cross section of the γD → ppπ? reaction in the spectator nucleon model when the undiscernability of the two outgoing protons is taken into account.

The Skyrme interaction is used in a Hartree-Fock calculation of 24Mg with triaxial symmetry. A transition between axial and triaxial shapes is studied as a function of the spin-orbit strength. The effect of the other components of the interaction on the shape of 24Mg is examined. Constrained Hartree-Fock calculations of the energy surface and the cranking mass parameter are used for the calculation of the intrinsic γ-vibration. The main result of the dynamical calculation is that despite the different equilibrium shapes obtained with the two forces SIII and SV, the triaxiality obtained by considering the zero-point γ-oscillation is essentially the same for both forces.  相似文献
