In this work nonlinear non-convex multiobjective bilevel optimization problems are discussed using an optimistic approach. It is shown that the set of feasible points of the upper level function, the so-called induced set, can be expressed as the set of minimal solutions of a multiobjective optimization problem. This artificial problem is solved by using a scalarization approach by Pascoletti and Serafini combined with an adaptive parameter control based on sensitivity results for this problem. The bilevel optimization problem is then solved by an iterative process using again sensitivity theorems for exploring the induced set and the whole efficient set is approximated. For the case of bicriteria optimization problems on both levels and for a one dimensional upper level variable, an algorithm is presented for the first time and applied to two problems: a theoretical example and a problem arising in applications.  相似文献

This paper deals with ill-posed bilevel programs, i.e., problems admitting multiple lower-level solutions for some upper-level parameters. Many publications have been devoted to the standard optimistic case of this problem, where the difficulty is essentially moved from the objective function to the feasible set. This new problem is simpler but there is no guaranty to obtain local optimal solutions for the original optimistic problem by this process. Considering the intrinsic non-convexity of bilevel programs, computing local optimal solutions is the best one can hope to get in most cases. To achieve this goal, we start by establishing an equivalence between the original optimistic problem and a certain set-valued optimization problem. Next, we develop optimality conditions for the latter problem and show that they generalize all the results currently known in the literature on optimistic bilevel optimization. Our approach is then extended to multiobjective bilevel optimization, and completely new results are derived for problems with vector-valued upper- and lower-level objective functions. Numerical implementations of the results of this paper are provided on some examples, in order to demonstrate how the original optimistic problem can be solved in practice, by means of a special set-valued optimization problem.  相似文献

In recent years, emphasis has been placed on generating quality representations of the nondominated set of multiobjective optimization problems. This paper presents two methods for generating discrete representations with equidistant points for biobjective problems with solution sets determined by convex, polyhedral cones. The Constraint Controlled-Spacing method is based on the epsilon-constraint method with an additional constraint to control the spacing of generated points. The Bilevel Controlled-Spacing method has a bilevel structure with the lower-level generating the nondominated points and the upper-level controlling the spacing, and is extended to multiobjective problems. Both methods are proven to produce (weakly) nondominated points and are demonstrated on a variety of test problems.  相似文献

Multiobjective optimization problems typically have conflicting objectives, and a gain in one objective very often is an expense in another. Using the concept of Pareto optimality, we investigate a multiobjective bilevel optimization problem (say, P). Our approach consists of proving that P is locally equivalent to a single level optimization problem, where the nonsmooth Mangasarian–Fromovitz constraint qualification may hold at any feasible solution. With the help of a special scalarization function introduced in optimization by Hiriart–Urruty, we convert our single level optimization problem into another problem and give necessary optimality conditions for the initial multiobjective bilevel optimization problem P.  相似文献

In this paper the Pareto efficiency of a uniformly convergent multiobjective optimization sequence is studied. We obtain some relation between the Pareto efficient solutions of a given multiobjective optimization problem and those of its uniformly convergent optimization sequence and also some relation between the weak Pareto efficient solutions of the same optimization problem and those of its uniformly convergent optimization sequence. Besides, under a compact convex assumption for constraints set and a certain convex assumption for both objective and constraint functions, we also get some sufficient and necessary conditions that the limit of solutions of a uniformly convergent multiobjective optimization sequence is the solution of a given multiobjective optimization problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the relationship between bilevel optimization and multicriteria optimization. Given a bilevel optimization problem, we introduce an order relation such that the optimal solutions of the bilevel problem are the nondominated points with respect to the order relation. In the case where the lower-level problem of the bilevel optimization problem is convex and continuously differentiable in the lower-level variables, this order relation is equivalent to a second, more tractable order relation. Then, we show how to construct a (nonconvex) cone for which we can prove that the nondominated points with respect to the order relation induced by the cone are also nondominated points with respect to any of the two order relations mentioned before. We comment also on the practical and computational implications of our approach.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the separations and optimality conditions for the optimal solution defined by the improvement set of a constrained multiobjective optimization problem. We introduce a vector-valued regular weak separation function and a scalar weak separation function via a nonlinear scalarization function defined in terms of an improvement set. The nonlinear separation between the image of the multiobjective optimization problem and an improvement set in the image space is established by the scalar weak separation function. Saddle point type optimality conditions for the optimal solution of the multiobjective optimization problem are established, respectively, by the nonlinear and linear separation methods. We also obtain the relationships between the optimal solution and approximate efficient solution of the multiobjective optimization problem. Finally, sufficient and necessary conditions for the (regular) linear separation between the approximate image of the multiobjective optimization problem and a convex cone are also presented.  相似文献

Multiobjective optimization problems with a variable ordering structure, instead of a partial ordering, have recently gained interest due to several applications. In the previous years, a basic theory has been developed for such problems. The binary relations of a variable ordering structure are defined by a cone-valued map that associates, with each element of the linear space ? m , a pointed convex cone of dominated or preferred directions. The difficulty in the study of the variable ordering structures arises from the fact that the binary relations are in general not transitive. In this paper, we propose numerical approaches for solving such optimization problems. For continuous problems a method is presented using scalarization functionals, which allows the determination of an approximation of the infinite optimal solution set. For discrete problems the Jahn–Graef–Younes method, known from multiobjective optimization with a partial ordering, is adapted to allow the determination of all optimal elements with a reduced effort compared to a pairwise comparison.  相似文献

This paper discusses simple local search approaches for approximating the efficient set of multiobjective combinatorial optimization problems. We focus on algorithms defined by a neighborhood structure and a dominance relation that iteratively improve an archive of nondominated solutions. Such methods are referred to as dominance-based multiobjective local search. We first provide a concise overview of existing algorithms, and we propose a model trying to unify them through a fine-grained decomposition. The main problem-independent search components of dominance relation, solution selection, neighborhood exploration and archiving are largely discussed. Then, a number of state-of-the-art and original strategies are experimented on solving a permutation flowshop scheduling problem and a traveling salesman problem, both on a two- and a three-objective formulation. Experimental results and a statistical comparison are reported in the paper, and some directions for future research are highlighted.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with the optimistic formulation of a bilevel optimization problem with multiobjective lower-level problem. Considering the scalarization approach for the multiobjective program, we transform our problem into a scalar-objective optimization problem with inequality constraints by means of the well-known optimal value reformulation. Completely detailed first-order necessary optimality conditions are then derived in the smooth and nonsmooth settings while using the generalized differentiation calculus of Mordukhovich. Our approach is different from the one previously used in the literature and the conditions obtained are new. Furthermore, they reduce to those of a usual bilevel program, if the lower-level objective function becomes single-valued.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new generalized homotopy algorithm for the solution of multiobjective optimization problems with equality constraints. We consider the set of Pareto candidates as a differentiable manifold and construct a local chart which is fitted to the local geometry of this Pareto manifold. New Pareto candidates are generated by evaluating the local chart numerically. The method is capable of solving multiobjective optimization problems with an arbitrary number k of objectives, makes it possible to generate all types of Pareto optimal solutions, and is able to produce a homogeneous discretization of the Pareto set. The paper gives a necessary and sufficient condition for the set of Pareto candidates to form a (k-1)-dimensional differentiable manifold, provides the numerical details of the proposed algorithm, and applies the method to two multiobjective sample problems.  相似文献

In this article we study generalized Nash equilibrium problems (GNEP) and bilevel optimization side by side. This perspective comes from the crucial fact that both problems heavily depend on parametric issues. Observing the intrinsic complexity of GNEP and bilevel optimization, we emphasize that it originates from unavoidable degeneracies occurring in parametric optimization. Under intrinsic complexity, we understand the involved geometrical complexity of Nash equilibria and bilevel feasible sets, such as the appearance of kinks and boundary points, non-closedness, discontinuity and bifurcation effects. The main goal is to illustrate the complexity of those problems originating from parametric optimization and singularity theory. By taking the study of singularities in parametric optimization into account, the structural analysis of Nash equilibria and bilevel feasible sets is performed. For GNEPs, the number of players’ common constraints becomes crucial. In fact, for GNEPs without common constraints and for classical NEPs we show that—generically—all Nash equilibria are jointly nondegenerate Karush–Kuhn–Tucker points. Consequently, they are isolated. However, in presence of common constraints Nash equilibria will constitute a higher dimensional set. In bilevel optimization, we describe the global structure of the bilevel feasible set in case of a one-dimensional leader’s variable. We point out that the typical discontinuities of the leader’s objective function will be caused by follower’s singularities. The latter phenomenon occurs independently of the viewpoint of the optimistic or pessimistic approach. In case of higher dimensions, optimistic and pessimistic approaches are discussed with respect to possible bifurcation of the follower’s solutions.  相似文献

Linear bilevel programs with multiple objectives at the upper level   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Bilevel programming has been proposed for dealing with decision processes involving two decision makers with a hierarchical structure. They are characterized by the existence of two optimization problems in which the constraint region of the upper level problem is implicitly determined by the lower level optimization problem. Focus of the paper is on general bilevel optimization problems with multiple objectives at the upper level of decision making. When all objective functions are linear and constraints at both levels define polyhedra, it is proved that the set of efficient solutions is non-empty. Taking into account the properties of the feasible region of the bilevel problem, some methods of computing efficient solutions are given based on both weighted sum scalarization and scalarization techniques. All the methods result in solving linear bilevel problems with a single objective function at each level.

In this paper, we consider a simple bilevel program where the lower level program is a nonconvex minimization problem with a convex set constraint and the upper level program has a convex set constraint. By using the value function of the lower level program, we reformulate the bilevel program as a single level optimization problem with a nonsmooth inequality constraint and a convex set constraint. To deal with such a nonsmooth and nonconvex optimization problem, we design a smoothing projected gradient algorithm for a general optimization problem with a nonsmooth inequality constraint and a convex set constraint. We show that, if the sequence of penalty parameters is bounded then any accumulation point is a stationary point of the nonsmooth optimization problem and, if the generated sequence is convergent and the extended Mangasarian-Fromovitz constraint qualification holds at the limit then the limit point is a stationary point of the nonsmooth optimization problem. We apply the smoothing projected gradient algorithm to the bilevel program if a calmness condition holds and to an approximate bilevel program otherwise. Preliminary numerical experiments show that the algorithm is efficient for solving the simple bilevel program.  相似文献

Evolutionary algorithms have shown some success in solving multiobjective optimization problems. The methods of fitness assignment are mainly based on the information about the dominance relation between individuals. We propose a Pareto fitness genetic algorithm (PFGA) in which we introduce a modified ranking procedure and a promising way of sharing; a new fitness function based on the rank of the individual and its density value is designed. This is considered as our main contribution. The performance of our algorithm is evaluated on six multiobjective benchmarks with different Pareto front features. Computational results (quality of the approximation of the Pareto optimal set and the number of fitness function evaluations) proving its efficiency are reported.  相似文献

Recently, a general-purpose local-search heuristic method called extremal optimization (EO) has been successfully applied to some NP-hard combinatorial optimization problems. This paper presents an investigation on EO with its application in numerical multiobjective optimization and proposes a new novel elitist (1 + λ) multiobjective algorithm, called multiobjective extremal optimization (MOEO). In order to extend EO to solve the multiobjective optimization problems, the Pareto dominance strategy is introduced to the fitness assignment of the proposed approach. We also present a new hybrid mutation operator that enhances the exploratory capabilities of our algorithm. The proposed approach is validated using five popular benchmark functions. The simulation results indicate that the proposed approach is highly competitive with the state-of-the-art multiobjective evolutionary algorithms. Thus MOEO can be considered a good alternative to solve numerical multiobjective optimization problems.  相似文献
