We prove that admissible functions for Fubini-Study metric on the complex projective space PmC of complex dimension m, invariant by a convenient automorphisms group, are lower bounded by a function going to minus infinity on the boundary of usual charts of PmC. A similar lower bound holds on some projective manifolds. This gives an optimal constant in a Hörmander type inequality on these manifolds, which allows us, using Tian's invariant, to establish the existence of Einstein-Kähler metrics on them.     

Support d’asymptotiques et croissance des fonctions propres sur un espace symétrique semi-simple

We associate several distribution boundary values to an eigenfunction with moderate growth on a riemannian symmetric space G/K; the associated character of the algebra D(G/K) of invariant differential operators is allowed to be non-regular. We prove results on the support of these boundary values. These allow us to recover the theorems of Matsuki-Oshima and Oshima on the equivalence between growth of an eigenfunction and limitations on the supports of its boundary values. Our approach is based on an asymptotic analysis that makes no use of hyperfunction theory.     

Algèbres et cogèbres de Gerstenhaber et cohomologie de Chevalley-Harrison

The fundamental example of Gerstenhaber algebra is the space Tpoly(Rd) of polyvector fields on Rd, equipped with the wedge product and the Schouten bracket. In this paper, we explicitely describe what is the enveloping G_∞ algebra of a Gerstenhaber algebra G. This structure gives us a definition of the Chevalley-Harrison cohomology operator for G. We finally show the nontriviality of a Chevalley-Harrison cohomology group for a natural Gerstenhaber subalgebra in Tpoly(Rd).     

Filtration de certains espaces de fonctions sur un espace symétrique réductif

We introduce a filtration of a -module of some space of functions on a reductive symmetric space G/H, and compute the associated grading as a direct sum of induced representations. As an application of this result to the reductive groups viewed as symmetric spaces, we are able to realize any Harish-Chandra module as a subquotient of a direct sum of induced representations from parabolic subgroups, the inducing representations being trivial on the unipotent radical.     

Betti numbers of 3-Sasakian manifolds

A vanishing theorem and constraints are given for the Betti numbers of compact 3-Sasakian manifolds.

Valuations,intersections et fonctions de Belyi-quelques remarques sur la construction des hauteurs

We present in this article several possibilities to approach the height of an algebraic curve defined over a number field: as an intersection number via the Arakelov theory, as a limit point of the heights of its algebraic points and, finally, using the minimal degree of Belyi functions.     

The spectrum of the Dirac operator on SU<Subscript>2</Subscript>/Q<Subscript>8</Subscript>

We compute the fundamental Dirac operator for the three-parameter-family of homogeneous Riemannian metrics and the four different spin structures on SU₂/Q₈, where Q₈ denotes the group of quaternions. We deduce its spectrum for the Berger metrics and show the sharpness of Christian Bär’s upper bound for the smallest Dirac eigenvalue in the particular case where SU₂/Q₈ is a homogeneous minimal hypersurface of S ⁴.     

The Webster scalar curvature problem on the three dimensional CR manifolds

In this paper, we prove some existence results for the Webster scalar curvature problem on the three dimensional CR compact manifolds locally conformally CR equivalent to the unit sphere S³ of C². Our methods are based on the techniques related to the theory of critical points at infinity.     

Liouville theorem for harmonic maps with potential

Paraholomorphic B-manifold and its properties

This paper is concerned with problem of the geometry of B-manifolds. We give some properties of Riemannian curvature tensors of paraholomorphic B-manifolds. Finally, we consider some examples of paraholomorphic B-manifolds.     

A Laplace integral on a Kähler manifold and Calabi's diastasis function

In this paper we give a different proof of Engliš's result [J. Reine Angew. Math. 528 (2000) 1-39] about the asymptotic expansion of a Laplace integral on a real analytic Kähler manifold (M,g) by using the link between the metric g and the associated Calabi's diastasis function D. We also make explicit the connection between the coefficients of Engliš' expansion and Gray's invariants [Michigan Math. J. (1973) 329-344].     

Invariant almost Hermitian structures on flag manifolds

Let G be a complex semi-simple Lie group and form its maximal flag manifold where P is a minimal parabolic (Borel) subgroup, U a compact real form and T=U∩P a maximal torus of U. We study U-invariant almost Hermitian structures on . The (1,2)-symplectic (or quasi-Kähler) structures are naturally related to the affine Weyl groups. A special form for them, involving abelian ideals of a Borel subalgebra, is derived. From the (1,2)-symplectic structures a classification of the whole set of invariant structures is provided showing, in particular, that nearly Kähler invariant structures are Kähler, except in the A₂ case.     

Terme constant de fonctions sur un espace symétrique réductif p-adique

We generalize Casselman's pairing to p-adic reductive symmetric spaces and study the asymptotic behaviour of certain generalized coefficients. We also prove an analogue of a lemma due to Langlands which allows us to prove a disjunction result for the Cartan decomposition of the p-adic reductive symmetric spaces.     

Harmonic sections of Riemannian vector bundles, and metrics of Cheeger-Gromoll type

We study harmonic sections of a Riemannian vector bundle E→M when E is equipped with a 2-parameter family of metrics hp,q which includes both the Sasaki and Cheeger-Gromoll metrics. For every k>0 there exists a unique p such that the harmonic sections of the radius-k sphere subbundle are harmonic sections of E with respect to hp,q for all q. In both compact and non-compact cases, Bernstein regions of the (p,q)-plane are identified, where the only harmonic sections of E with respect to hp,q are parallel. Examples are constructed of vector fields which are harmonic sections of E=TM in the case where M is compact and has non-zero Euler characteristic.
