Microwave promoted diastereoselective synthesis of dihydroindeno[1,2-b]furans via one-pot three-component reaction in solvent-free conditions

An efficient method was developed for the synthesis of fused dihydroindeno[1,2-b]furans. One-pot three-component reaction of 1,3-indanedione, aromatic aldehyde and pyridinium ylide in the presence of triethylamine under microwave-irradiation in solvent-free conditions afforded dihydroindeno[1,2-b]furans in a diastereoselective manner in excellent yields.     

Ultrasound-promoted one-pot, three-component synthesis of spiro[indoline-3,1'-pyrazolo[1,2-b]phthalazine] derivatives

A series of 3'-aminospiro[indoline-3,1'-pyrazolo[1,2-b]phthalazine]-2,5',10'-trione derivatives have been synthesized by a one-pot three-component reaction of isatin, malononitrile or ethyl cyanoacetate and phthalhydrazide catalyzed by piperidine under ultrasound irradiation. For comparison the reactions were carried out under both conventional and ultrasonic conditions. In general, improvement in rates and yields were observed when the reactions were carried out under sonication compared with classical conditions.     

A one-pot three-component approach to synthesis of novel dihydroxyoxoindeno[1,2-b]pyrrole derivatives

A new class of 2-arylamino-dihydroxyindenopyrroles were prepared by the one-pot multicomponent reaction of ninhydrin, N-methyl-1-(methylthio)-2-nitroethenamine and aromatic amines in EtOH at room temperature. The advantages of this procedure are short reaction times, good to high yields, easy separation of products and good functional group tolerance.     

Novel selenium-containing acenaphtho[1,2-b]pyrrole derivatives: Synthesis and bioactivity

Seven novel selenium-containing acenaphtho[1,2-b]pyrrole derivatives were designed and synthesized and their cytotoxic effects were evaluated by the MTT tetrazolium dye assay. Two compounds presented good anticancer activities.     

One-pot synthesis of acenaphtho[1,2-b]furan derivatives

New 9-(alkyl or aryl)acenaphtho[l,2-b]furan-8-(alky or aryl)amine compounds has herein been reported by one-pot reaction of (acenaphthylen-l-yloxy)trimethylsilane,alkyl and aryl aldehydes,and aryl and alky isocyanides in refluxing DMF.     

A one-pot three-component reactions for the synthesis of fully substituted spiro indeno[1,2-b]quinoxaline derivatives

An efficient and simple approach of the synthesis of some spiro indeno[1,2-b]quinoxalines via a one-pot three-component reaction of 11H-indeno[1,2-b]quinoxalin-11-one, pyrazolone, and malononitrile in the presence of Na₂CO₃ at 70 °C is reported. This reaction has shown to have high atom economy.     

Simple synthesis of 7H-phenaleno[1,2-b]furan-7-one derivatives by one-pot, three-component reactions

The reaction of alkyl isocyanides with various aldehydes and 3-hydroxy-1 H-phenalene-1-one is described. The protocol offers facile and efficient synthesis of biologically interesting 9-(alkyl or arylamino)-7 H-phenaleno[1,2- b]furan-7-one derivatives from readily available starting materials in high yields.

The synthesis of the polycyclic pyrrole acetic acids 9e, 13e and 13g by multistep processes from 1-bromo-4-phenylbutan-2-one ( 6c ) is reported. An instance of the use of the 2-chloroethyl moiety as a pyrrole nitrogen protecting group is described. The α-methylaminoketone ( 6e ) was synthesised by a novel two step process from 6c and methyl N-methylformimidate ( 12 ).

A novel multicomponent Zr-catalyzed synthesis of functionalized pyrano[3,2-b]pyrrole derivatives

A novel, efficient, and rapid procedure, one-pot condensation of 3-hydroxypyrrole, malononitrile, and aromatic aldehydes, with 10 mol % bis[N-(3,5-dicumylsalicylidene)anthracylaminato]zirconium(IV) dichloride as catalyst, in the presence of ultrasonic irradiation, has been developed for synthesis of 5-amino-7-aryl-6-cyano-4H-pyrano[3,2-b]pyrrole derivatives.     

Facile three-component synthesis and insecticidal evaluation of hexahydroimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives

A series of new hexahydroimidazo[1,2-α]pyridine derivatives were synthesized via convenient and practical three-component reactions.Preliminary bioassays showed that majority of the target compounds exhibited moderate to excellent insecticidal activity against cowpea aphids(Aphis craccivora).Among them,compound 91 demonstrated significant activity with LC_(50) value of0.00918 mmol/L which was about 3.8-fold higher than that of imidacloprid(IMI).Furthermore,the study of stereostructure-activity relationship of four isomers of 9k indicated that configuration played a key role in insecticidal activity of these compounds.     

A stereoselective three-component reaction: The facile synthesis of fluorinated tetrahydropyrimido[1,2-b]benzothiazoles

A one-pot, catalyst- and solvent-free approach has been developed for the stereoselective synthesis of fluorinated tetrahydropyrimido[1,2-b]benzothiazoles. The three-component condensation reaction of an aldehyde and a trifluoromethyl ??-dicarbonyl compound in the presence of 2-aminobenzothizole occurs in high yields at 90 °C.     

Pyrido[1,2-b] indazole and its derivatives

A new route to pyrido[1,2-b]indazole and its derivatives is described and the nitration of the parent compound is reported. The formation of δ-carbolines as byproducts is discussed.     

Synthesis of 3H[1,2]diazepino[5,6-b]indole and 3H[1,2]diazepino[4,5-b]indole derivatives

The synthesis of two new derivatives of 3H[1,2]diazepino[5,6-b]indole, 5 and 11 , and one new derivative of 3H[1,2]diazepino[4,5-b]indole, 16 , are described. Compound 5 was obtained by the reaction of methyl 2-(3-methoxycarbonyl-1-methylindole)acetate 2 , with hydrazine. Compound 11 was obtained in two ways from ethyl 2-(1-methylindole)acetate ( 8 ) by formylation and reaction with hydrazine. Compound 16 was obtained treating 3-(2-ethoxycarbonylindole)acetonitrile ( 14 ) with hydrazine.     

One-pot four-component synthesis of 1H-pyrazolo[1,2-b]phthalazine-5,10-dione derivatives

The synthesis of 1H-pyrazolo[1,2-b]phthalazine-5,10-dione derivatives by NiCl₂-catalyzed novel one-pot four-component condensation reaction of phthalimide, hydrazine, malononitrile (or ethyl cyanoacetate), and aromatic aldehydes was reported. This work provides a simple, efficient, and eco-friendly method for the construction of pyrazolo[1,2-b]phalazine-5,10-dione derivatives.
