In this work we study an unusual phase transition of the Baxter–Wu model in the presence of an external magnetic field. The model is pure Baxter–Wu, which means that only three-spin interactions are taken into account. We construct a phase diagram on the temperature–field plane based mainly on the singularities of the specific heat. These singularities are more clearly observed than those of the magnetic susceptibility which are used in existing works. We establish a discontinuity in the critical exponents when the field is changed from zero to negative.  相似文献

A comparative study of the current-voltage characteristics of the high-temperature ceramic superconductor YBa2Cu3O~6.95 at T = 77.3 K is performed over wide ranges of external magnetic fields H ext and “treatment” fields H treat. It is found that the field dependences of the parameters a and j c involved in the exponential equation E = a(j ? j c)v describing the current-voltage characteristics depend substantially on the method used for applying the magnetic field, whereas the exponent v ~ 2 depends on neither the method of application nor on the magnetic field strength. The field dependence of the trapped magnetic field H trap is determined.  相似文献

The formation of carbonate species by a reaction of AgO added rows with CO2 was investigated by scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). STM observation during the reaction revealed that the AgO added rows were compressed from a (4 × 1) to a (2 × 1) phase, according to the growth of carbonate domains. Though the carbonate domains give a (1 × 2) diffraction pattern, STM images of this domain do not show a (1 × 2) structure, which indicates that the Ag substrate reconstructs to a (1 × 2) structure. Though the CO3 species thermally decompose at a lower temperature than AgO added rows, the AgO added rows can be selectively decomposed by ultraviolet irradiation.  相似文献

The phenomenon of ??switching?? of the domain walls generated by frustrations in a two-layer ferromagnet-antiferromagnet nanostructure has been studied using numerical simulation methods. This phenomenon manifests itself in the fact that, as the magnetic field increases, the ferromagnetic layer divided into nanodomains by domain walls perpendicular to the layer plane becomes single-domain, and the antiferromagnetic layer that is uniform in weak fields is divided into 180° domains by the domain walls perpendicular to the layer. The structures of these domain walls have been calculated in various magnetic fields.  相似文献

Preliminary measurement of the superconducting critical magnetic field Hc2 of LaMCuO system (M = Sr and Ba) with layered perovskite structure has been carried out. The results show a quite large anisotropy of Hc2 indicating that the present system has a two dimensional character of the electron transport. The measured conductivities seem to be consistent with the values estimated from the observed Hc2 by use of an ideal two dimensional band with free electron mass.  相似文献

The effect of an external electric field on the probability of the electron radiative transition from a resonant u-state to the localized g-state of the D 2 ? center in the presence of dissipative tunneling has been investigated in the model of zero-radius potential. It is shown that the probability of radiative transition increases by about two orders of magnitude in the case of the external electric field intensity for which the initially asymmetric double-well oscillator potential simulating a quantum-dot molecule becomes symmetrical.  相似文献

Magnetic properties of the bond and crystal field dilution spin-3/2 Blume–Capel model in an external magnetic field (h)(h) on simple cubic lattice are studied by using the effective field theory. In the m−TmT plane, the degeneracy of the magnetization (m)(m) is affected by the concentration of bond or crystal field dilution at low temperature (T)(T). The magnetization curves can appear to fluctuate in certain regions of negative crystal field. In the m−hmh plane, the initial magnetization curve has an irregular behavior due to the introduction of bond dilution. The crystal field dilution has the influence on the process of magnetic domain displacement. In the χ−hχh plane, there exists one susceptibility (χ)(χ) shoulder and one step for different negative crystal field. The susceptibility curve takes on the feature of multi-peaks distribution under bond and crystal field dilution conditions.  相似文献

Quasi-classical trajectory(QCT) studies on the stereodynamics of H + Br O → O + HBr reaction have been performed on the X1A′state of ab initio potential energy surface by Peterson [Peterson K A 2000 J. Chem. Phys. 113 4598] in a collision energy range from 0 kcal/mol to 6 kcal/mol. Two of the polarization-dependent generalized differential cross sections(PDDCSs),(2π /σ)( dσ00/ dωt)(PDDCS00) and(2π /σ)( dσ20/ dωt)(PDDCS20) are considered. The rotational polarizations of these products show sensitive behaviors to the calculated collision energy range. Furthermore, in order to gain more knowledge about vector correlations, the product angular distribution, P(θr), and the dihedral angle, P(φr),are calculated, and the results indicate that both the rotational alignment and orientation of the product are enhanced as collision energy increases.  相似文献

We investigate the ground-state properties of a one-dimensional spin-1/2 fermionic atoms interacting through the attractive δ-function potential in an external magnetic field. By the thermal Bethe ansatz method, the integral equations for the dressed energies are formulated. Those integral equations at zero-temperature are solved in the power series forms of rapidity and momentum for both strong and weak coupling cases. The magnetization as a function of the coupling constant and the external field is also obtained explicitly. Based on the analytic results, quantum phase transitions are identified among three phases, an unpolarized fully paired state, a fully polarized normal ferromagnetic state and a mixed state of paired and unpaired atoms.  相似文献

In this paper, we theoretically study the effect of the in-plane magnetic field on spin polarization in the presence of the Dresselhaus spin–orbit effect. It is shown that the large spin polarization can be achieved in such a nanostructure due to the effects of both the Dresselhaus spin–orbit term and the in-plane magnetic field, but the latter plays a main role in the tunneling process. It is also shown that with the increase of in-plane magnetic field, the degree of spin splitting obviously becomes larger.  相似文献

In this paper a commercial CFD (computational fluid dynamics) code FLUENT has been used and modified for the axisymmetric swirl and time-dependent simulation of an atmospheric pressure argon arc in an external axial magnetic field (AMF). The computational domain includes the arc itself and the anodic region. Numerical results demonstrate that the AMF substantially increases the tangential component of the plasma velocity. The resulting centrifugal force for the plasma rotation impels it to travel to the arc mantel and as a result, a low-pressure region appears at the arc core. With the AMF, the arc presents a hollow bell shape and correspondingly, the maximal values of the temperature, pressure and current density on the anode surface are departing from the arc centreline.  相似文献

The antiferromagnetic Blume–Emery–Griffiths model in an external magnetic field is studied by using the exact recursion relations on the Bethe lattice for arbitrary values of biquadratic and for negative values of bilinear interactions. We have studied the thermal variations of two-sublattice magnetizations belonging to spin-1 BEG model to obtain the phase diagrams on the (H/|J|,kT/|J|)(H/|J|,kT/|J|) plane. As a result, we have found that the system presents second- and first-order phase transitions, therefore, tricritical points for appropriate values of K/|J|K/|J|, D/|J|D/|J| and q  . We have also found that the second-order phase transition lines exhibit reentrant phenomena in temperature, besides it also shows reentrant phenomena for the first-order phase lines in external magnetic field for q=4q=4 and 6.  相似文献

The influence of an external non-uniform magnetic field created using a periodic magnetic focusing system on the spectral characteristics of a virtual cathode oscillator’s output radiation is investigated by means of numerical simulation. It is shown that raising the magnetization intensity of a single magnetic ring or the number of magnetic rings leads to an increase in the output microwave radiation power spectrum’s irregularity. As consequence, the output microwave signal exhibits wide-band oscillations with a bandwidth close to one octave.  相似文献

Waves moving over the surface of a Rh field emitter tip in an oscillatory way during the NO-H2 reaction have been visualized earlier by field electron microscopy (FEM). An autocatalysis model has been proposed to describe the oscillatory behaviour of the reduction of NO by H2. To study the oscillatory behaviour and the effect of the surface structure in more detail a large Rh(100) surface and a large stepped Rh(533) surface, Rh[4(111)1(100)], have been selected. The first results show that, in correspondence with the FEM experiments, rate oscillations could be observed over the Rh(533) surface in the 10−6 mbar pressure regime around 470 K. No oscillatory behaviour was obtained on the Rh(100) surface under these conditions. The structure-sensitivity of the process is related to the large dependence of the Rh-N bond strength on the surface structure. Nitrogen desorbs at a much higher temperature from Rh(100) than from Rh(533).  相似文献

The form of phase diagrams has been determined for epitaxial magnetic films of the composition Y3–xy Bi x Pr y Fe5O12 on the plane (H H ), where H and H are the external magnetic field components parallel and orthogonal, respectively, to the direction of the normal n to the surface of the film. The specific features have been revealed in the magnetization reversal of the objects under investigation, which are associated with their structural stratification.  相似文献
