In this paper the asymptotic behaviour of the solutions of x' = A(t)x + h(t,x) under the assumptions of instability is studied, A(t) and h(t,x) being a square matrix and a vector function, respectively. The conditions for the existence of bounded solutions or solutions tending to the origin as t → ∞ are obtained. The method: the system is recasted to an equation with complex conjugate coordinates and this equation is studied by means of a suitable Lyapunov function and by virtue of the Wazevski topological method. Applications to a nonlinear differential equation of the second order are given.  相似文献

Dedicated to Professor Yuzan He on the Occasion of his 80th Birthday In this paper, we employ the complex method to obtain all meromorphic solutions of an auxiliary ordinary differential equation at first and then find out all meromorphic exact solutions of the combined KdV–mKdV equation and variant Boussinesq equations. Our result shows that all rational and simply periodic exact solutions of the combined KdV–mKdV equation and variant Boussinesq equations are solitary wave solutions, the method is more simple than other methods, and there exist some rational solutions wr,2(z) and simply periodic solutions ws,2(z) that are not only new but also not degenerated successively by the elliptic function solutions. In this article, we study a Galerkin method for a nonstationary operator equation with a leading self-adjoint operator A(t) and a subordinate nonlinear operator F. The existence of the strong solutions of the Cauchy problem for differential and approximate equations are proved. New error estimates for the approximate solutions and their derivatives are obtained. The developed method is applied to an initial boundary value problem for a partial differential equation of parabolic type.  相似文献

We consider the fully parity‐time (PT) symmetric nonlocal (2 + 1)‐dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation with respect to x and y. By using Hirota's bilinear method, we derive the N‐soliton solutions of the nonlocal NLS equation. By using the resulting N‐soliton solutions and employing long wave limit method, we derive its nonsingular rational solutions and semi‐rational solutions. The rational solutions act as the line rogue waves. The semi‐rational solutions mean different types of combinations in rogue waves, breathers, and periodic line waves. Furthermore, in order to easily understand the dynamic behaviors of the nonlocal NLS equation, we display some graphics to analyze the characteristics of these solutions.  相似文献

We will propose a unified algebraic method to construct Jacobi elliptic function solutions to differential–difference equations (DDEs). The solutions to DDEs in terms of Jacobi elliptic functions sn, cn and dn have a unified form and can be presented through solving the associated algebraic equations. To illustrate the effectiveness of this method, we apply the algorithm to some physically significant DDEs, including the discrete hybrid equation, semi‐discrete coupled modified Korteweg–de Vries and the discrete Klein–Gordon equation, thereby generating some new exact travelling periodic solutions to the discrete Klein–Gordon equation. A procedure is also given to determine the polynomial expansion order of Jacobi elliptic function solutions to DDEs. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this article, we employ the complex method to obtain all meromorphic exact solutions of complex Klein–Gordon (KG) equation, modified Korteweg‐de Vries (mKdV) equation, and the generalized Boussinesq (gB) equation at first, then find all exact solutions of the Equations KG, mKdV, and gB. The idea introduced in this paper can be applied to other nonlinear evolution equations. Our results show that all rational and simply periodic solutions are solitary wave solutions, the complex method is simpler than other methods, and there exist some rational solutions w2r,2(z) and simply periodic solutions w1s,2(z),w2s,1(z) in these equations such that they are not only new but also not degenerated successively by the elliptic function solutions. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the influence of dissipation on travelling wave solutions of the generalized Pochhammer–Chree equation with a dissipation term, and provides travelling wave solutions for this equation. Applying the theory of planar dynamical systems, we obtain ten global phase portraits of the dynamic system corresponding to this equation under various parameter conditions. Moreover, we present the relations between the properties of travelling wave solutions and the dissipation coefficient r of this equation. We find that a bounded travelling wave solution appears as a bell profile solitary wave solution or a periodic travelling wave solution when r= 0; a bounded travelling wave solution appears as a kink profile solitary wave solution when |r| > 0 is large; a bounded travelling wave solution appears as a damped oscillatory solution when |r| > 0 is small. Further, by using undetermined coefficient method, we get all possible bell profile solitary wave solutions and approximate damped oscillatory solutions for this equation. Error estimates indicate that the approximate solutions are meaningful.  相似文献

A simple formula is proven for an upper bound for amplitudes of hyperelliptic (finite-gap or N-phase) solutions of the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation. The upper bound is sharp, viz, it is attained for some initial conditions. The method used to prove the upper bound is the same method, with necessary modifications, used to prove the corresponding bound for solutions of the focusing NLS equation (Wright OC, III. In this paper,we focus on studying approximate solutions of damped oscillatory solutions of the compound KdV-Burgers equation and their error estimates.We employ the theory of planar dynamical systems to study traveling wave solutions of the compound KdV-Burgers equation.We obtain some global phase portraits under different parameter conditions as well as the existence of bounded traveling wave solutions.Furthermore,we investigate the relations between the behavior of bounded traveling wave solutions and the dissipation coefficient r of the equation.We obtain two critical values of r,and find that a bounded traveling wave appears as a kink profile solitary wave if |r| is greater than or equal to some critical value,while it appears as a damped oscillatory wave if |r| is less than some critical value.By means of analysis and the undetermined coefficients method,we find that the compound KdV-Burgers equation only has three kinds of bell profile solitary wave solutions without dissipation.Based on the above discussions and according to the evolution relations of orbits in the global phase portraits,we obtain all approximate damped oscillatory solutions by using the undetermined coefficients method.Finally,using the homogenization principle,we establish the integral equations reflecting the relations between exact solutions and approximate solutions of damped oscillatory solutions.Moreover,we also give the error estimates for these approximate solutions.  相似文献

Summary We consider equations in 2+1 solvable in terms of a nonlocal Riemann-Hilbert problem and show that for such an equation there exists a unified dressing method which yields: (i) a Lax pair suitable for obtaining solutions that are perturbations of an arbitrary exact solution of the given equation; (ii) certain integrable generalizations of the given equation. Using this generalized dressing method large classes of solutions of these equations, including dromions and line dromions, can be obtained. The method is illustrated by using theN-wave interactions, the Davey-Stewartson I, and the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili I equations. We also show that a careful application of the usual dressing method yields a certain generalization of theN-wave interactions.  相似文献

This paper shows how to use the method of quasisolutions to construct exact solutions to Burgers’ equation. A function υ=υ(x, y) is called a quasisolution of a PDE in case there exists a function φ (not a constant function) of one variable so that u(x, y)=φ(υ(x, y)) is a solution of the equation. We prove a theorem giving necessary and sufficient conditions for υ to be a quasisolution to Burgers’ equation. A function φ can then be found explicitly so that u=φ(υ) is an actual solution. Combining this technique with similarity methods, we find a continuum of solutions to Burgers' equation.  相似文献

In the paper we prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions of the overdetermined elliptic system where b, ω are given functions, in a domain Ω C R3 with corners π/n, n = 2, 3, … The proof is divided on two steps, we construct a solution for the Laplace equation in a dihedral angle π/n, using the method of reflection and we get an estimate in the norms of the Sobolev spaces in some neighbourhood of the edge. In the dihedral angle system (A) reduces to the Dirichlet and Neumann problems for the Laplace equation. In the next step we prove the existence of solutions in the Sobolev spaces Wpl(Ω) using the existence of generalized solutions of (A).  相似文献

The famous logistic differential equation is studied in the complex plane. The method used is based on a functional analytic technique which provides a unique solution of the ordinary differential equation (ODE) under consideration in H 2(𝔻) or H 1(𝔻) and gives rise to an equivalent difference equation for which a unique solution is established in ?2 or ?1. For the derivation of the solution of the logistic differential equation this discrete equivalent equation is used. The obtained solution is analytic in {z ∈ ?: |z| <T}, T > 0. Numerical experiments were also performed using the classical 4th order Runge–Kutta method. The obtained results were compared for real solutions as well as for solutions of the form y(t) = u(t) + iv(t), t ∈ ?. For t ∈ ? the solution derived by the present method, seems to have singularities, that is, points where it ceases to be analytic, in certain sectors of the complex plane. These sectors, depending on the values of the involved parameters, can move at different directions, join forming common sectors, or pass through each other and continue moving independently. Moreover, the real and imaginary part of the solution seem to exhibit oscillatory behavior near these sectors.  相似文献
