The following organic and organic–inorganic hybrid compounds were prepared as photo-luminescent materials following efficient and practical synthetic methods: 1,3-bis[4-(n-alkoxy)phenyl]-2-propen-1-one (where, n-alkoxy: O(CH2)nH, n = 6,7,8,9 or 10); 3,5-bis[4-(n-alkoxy)phenyl]-1H-pyrazole (where, n-alkoxy: O(CH2)nH, n = 6,7,8,9 or 10) (in case of n = 7, a mixture of 3,5-bis(4-heptyloxyphenyl)-1H-pyrazole and 3,5-bis(4-heptyloxyphenyl)-4H-pyrazole was detected) and bis(3,5-bis [4-(n-alkoxy) phenyl]-1H-pyrazole) silver(I) nitrate (where, n-alkoxy: O(CH2)nH, n = 6,7,8,9 or 10). The prepared compounds have been characterised and their structures were elucidated depending upon (FTIR, UV-Vis, 1HNMR, 13CNMR, 2D 1H-1H-COSY, 2D 1H-13C-HSQC and mass spectra) in addition to molar conductivity measurements for silver(I) complexes. The mesomorphism behaviour of the prepared compounds was studied using polarised light optical microscopy and confirmed with differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray powder diffraction techniques. The studies showed that among all of these compounds only the pyrazole derivatives are liquid crystal materials. The luminescent properties of all the prepared compounds were also investigated which confirmed that all of these compounds are photo-luminescent in the crystalline solid state and in the mesophase.  相似文献

The phosphonium salts [Ph2P(CH2)nPPh2CH2C(O)C6H4-m-OMe]Br (n = 1 (S1) and n = 2 (S2)) were synthesized in the reaction of bis(diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm) and bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe) with 2-bromo-3?-methoxy acetophenone, respectively. Further treatment with NEt3 gave the phosphorus ylides Ph2P(CH2)nPPh2C(H)C(O)C6H4-m-OMe (n = 1 (Y1) and n = 2 (Y2)). These ligands were treated with [MCl2(cod)] (M = Pd or Pt; cod = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) to give the P, C-chelated complexes, [MCl2(Ph2P(CH2)nPPh2C(H)C(O)C6H4-m-OMe)] (n = 1, M = Pd (3), Pt (4), and n = 2, M = Pd (5), Pt (6)). These compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopic methods, UV–visible, and fluorescence emission spectra. Further, the structures of complexes 3 and 6 were characterized crystallographically. The palladium complexes 3 and 5 proved to be excellent catalysts for the Suzuki reactions of various aryl chlorides. Also, a theoretical study on the structure of complexes 3–6 has been investigated at the BP86/def2-SVP level of theory. The strength and nature of donor?acceptor bonds between the phosphorus ylides (L) and MCl2 fragment in the [LMCl2] (M = Pd, Pt, L = Y1, Y2) were studied by NBO and energy decomposition analysis (EDA), as well as their natural orbitals for chemical valence variation (EDA-NOCV).  相似文献

N,N-Di-R-N′-(4-chlorobenzoyl)thiourea (Di-R: diethyl, di-n-propyl, di-n-butyl and diphenyl) ligands (HL1–4) and their Pt(II) complexes (cis-[Pt(L1–4-S,O)2]) have been synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR and NMR spectroscopy. HL2 ligand and cis-[Pt(L4-S,O)2] metal complex have been also characterized by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study. HL2, C14H19ClN2OS, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n (no. 14), with Z = 4, and unit cell parameters, a = 11.1405(16) Å, b = 9.7015(12) Å, c = 14.790(2) Å, β = 106.547(7)°. The cis-[Pt(L4-S,O)2], C40H28Cl2N4O2PtS2: triclinic, space group P-1 (no. 2), a = 8.9919(3) Å, b = 14.7159(6) Å, c = 15.7954(6) Å, α = 113.9317(18)°, β = 97.4490(18)°, and γ = 105.0492(16)°. Single crystal analysis of complex, cis-[Pt(L1–4-S,O)2], revealed that a square planar coordination geometry is formed around the platinum atom by two sulfur and two oxygen atoms of the related ligands, which are in a cis configuration. In addition, the thiourea derivative ligands and their complexes were evaluated for both their in-vitro antibacterial and antifungal activity. The results have been reported, explained, and compared with fluconazole and ampicillin, used as reference drugs.  相似文献

A series of novel cationic gemini surfactants, p-[C n H2n+1N+(CH3)2CH2CH(OH)CH2O]2C6H4·2Cl? [A(n = 12), B(n = 14) and C(n = 16)], containing a spacer group with two flexible and hydrophilic groups (2-hydroxy-1,3-propylene) on both sides of a rigid and hydrophobic group (1,4-dioxyphenylene) has been synthesized by the reaction of hydroquinone diglycidyl ether with N,N-dimethylalkylamine and N,N-dimethylalkylamine hydrochloride. Their surface-active properties have been investigated by surface tension measurement. The critical micelle concentration (cmc) values of the synthesized cationic gemini surfactants are one order of magnitude lower than those of their corresponding monomeric surfactants (C n H2n + 1N+(CH3)3·Cl?). Both the cmc and surface tension at the cmc (γcmc) of A are lower than those of p-[C12H25N+(CH3)2CH2]2C6H4·2Cl? (D). The novel cationic gemini surfactants A and B also show good foaming properties.  相似文献

Novel triazole substituted pyrazolyl-methylenehydrazinyl-5-arylidene thiazolidinone derivatives 6a–n and 7a–l were synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform infrared, 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry and elemental (CHN) analysis. The in vitro antibacterial (6a–n and 7a–l) and cytotoxic (6a–n) activities were evaluated for these compounds. The results revealed that the compounds 6b, 6i, 6k, 7b, 7h displayed good antibacterial activity. The compounds 6c (IC50 = 5.4 μM), 6l (IC50 = 6.3 μM) and 6f (IC50 = 9.85 μM) were effective for inhibition of human breast cancer cell line MCF-7. Similarly, the compounds 6b (IC50 = 8.7 μM) and 6c (IC50 = 9.06 μM) were shown to have effective inhibition on human cervical cancer cell line Hela.  相似文献

The orientation of E7 liquid crystal (LC) confined within 200 nm diameter cylindrical cavities of Anodisc membranes are investigated by FTIR dichroism techniques. The cavity walls of the confining pores were chemically modified with different length perfluorinated carboxylic acids (PCAs, C n F2n+1COOH, n = 3, 4, 5, 6) at 1, 3 and 5 mM concentrations. From the FTIR spectra of PCA‐treated alumina Anodsic membranes, we found salt formation between the –COOH group of the PCAs and the Anodisc membranes. From the FTIR spectra of LC‐filled Anodisc membranes, we found an abrupt alignment direction change, from parallel to perpendicular, of the LC molecules along the long axis of the cavities between n = 4 and n = 5 for the 1 mM concentration of PCA. However, for the 5 mM concentration of PCA, the parallel‐to‐perpendicular alignment direction of LC molecules changed between n = 3 and n = 4. These LC orientation changes for PCA‐treated Anodisc membranes occurred at shorter length than for hydrocarbon carboxylic acid (HCA, C n H2n+1COOH)‐treated Anodisc membranes. This change may be caused by the lower surface energy of the –(CF2) n CF3 chain of PCA than that of the –(CH2) n CH3 chain of HCA.  相似文献

The reaction of [RuCl2(cod)(bpzm)] [cod = 1,5-cyclooctadiene, bpzm = bis(pyrazol-1-yl)methane] with 2-diphenylphosphino-1-methylimidazole (dpim) and crystallisation from CHCl3 yielded crystals of cis-[RuCl(κ2-N,N-bpzm)(κ1-P-dpim)(κ2-P,N-dpim)][Cl(CHCl3)4]·CHCl3, (1√(CHCl3)5), in which the Cl counteranion was solvated by four CHCl3 molecules and interacted with the most positive region of the cation. The structure of the anionic entity and the presence of non-covalent interactions were studied. Theoretical calculations allowed the evaluation of the stability of [Cl(CHCl3) n ] aggregates. A pronounced stability was found for aggregates with n = 6 with an increasing charge transfer from the chloride ion to the CHCl3 molecules from n = 1 to 6. A literature survey on the occurrence of anionic species [Cl(CXCl3) n (HB) m ] (X = H or D; HB = hydrogen bonds with the cation) in solid state structures was carried out and the findings correlated with the results of computational studies. A stabilisation effect of a Cl…Cl interaction was demonstrated by a natural bond orbitals (NBO) analysis.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterisation of a series of new rod-shaped liquid crystal (LC), 2-(4-alkyloxybenzylidenamino)benzothiazoles possessing even number of carbon atoms at the alkyloxy chain (CnH2n?+?1O-, n = 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18) are reported. The molecular structures of title compounds were elucidated using FTIR and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic techniques. The phase behaviour of these new compounds was characterised and studied by differential scanning calorimetry and polarising optical microscopy. Lower members (n = 2, 4 and 6) did not exhibit mesophase. Octyloxy derivative was monotropic LC. Enantiotropic smectic A phase was observed from n-decyloxy derivatives onward to the last homologous synthesised.  相似文献

Three water-soluble ruthenium(III) compounds, Y[cis-RuCl2(pic)2]?nH2O (where pic = picolinate anion, Y = H(Hpic)2+ (1), H2pic+ (2) or K+ (3), n = 2, 1.5, and 2.5, respectively), were synthesized and their X-ray structures determined. Compound 1 was fully characterized both as solid and in aqueous solution by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurements, EPR, IR and UV-visible spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, microwave plasma atomic emission, and mass spectrometry, capillary electrophoresis and chromatographic methods. It was shown that the coordination geometry around the low spin (S = ½) RuIII center is distorted octahedral with the chlorido ligands in a cis configuration. Furthermore, all the measurements showed that the structures in the solid state and solution are absolutely identical with the cis-[RuCl2(pic)2]? anion being inert in aqueous solution. Microbial studies showed that 1 exerts a strong inhibition on the growth and increased mortality level of the bacterial strains – Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas sp., Sarcina sp., Micrococcus sp., Serratia sp., Bacillus cereus, Bacillus subtilis and yeast – Saccharomyces cerevisiae.  相似文献

In this study, a series of liquid crystalline diblock copolymers, composed of a soft poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) block with a de?ned length and a side-on liquid crystalline poly(3??-acryloyloxypropyl 2,5-di(4?-butyloxybenzoyloxy) benzoate) (P3ADBB) block with different lengths, are synthesised by the atom transfer radical polymerisation. The macromolecular structures, liquid crystalline properties and the microphase-separated morphologies of the diblock copolymer are investigated by 1H NMR, FT-IR, GPC, POM, DSC and TEM. The results show that the well-de?ned diblock copolymers (PDMSn-b-P3ADBBm) possess four different soft/rigid ratios (n = 58, m = 10, 25, 42, 66) and relatively narrow molecular distributions (PDI ≤ 1.30). P3ADBB blocks of the copolymers show nematic sub-phases, which are identical to the mesomorphic behaviour of the homopolymer P3ADBB. After being annealed at 90°C in a vacuum oven for 48 h, the copolymers form a lamellar morphology when m = 10 and morphologies of PDMS spheres embedded in P3ADBB matrix when m = 25, 42 and 66.  相似文献

Assembly of orotic acid (H3Or, 1,2,3,6-tetrahydro-2,6-dioxo-4-pyrimidinecarboxylic) and Cd(NO3)·6H2O yielded a coordination polymer, [(Cd(Hor)·2.5H2O)2]n (1), which has been characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, TGA, and ?uorescence spectra. Single-crystal X-ray structural analyses reveal that 1 is a hydrogen-bonded binuclear Cd-orotate coordination polymer in which both Cd2+ ions have different coordination environments with identical distorted octahedral geometry. Crystal data for 1: monoclinic, space group P21/n, a = 7.0209(10) Å, b = 13.974(2) Å, c = 17.541(3) Å, β = 98.842(2)°, V = 1700.5(4) Å, Z = 4, R1 = 0.0269, wR2 = 0.0612, θmax = 25.960. The emission spectrum of the Cd-complex recorded with 265 nm excitation wavelength reveals the complex has strong blue luminescence with the peak maximum 420 nm (2.95 eV) as a result of the nπ* and ππ* transitions on the H3Or ligand.  相似文献

A new copper(II) complex, [Cu(epoxy)(phen)(NO3)](NO3)·H2O (epoxy = 5,6-dihydro-5,6-epoxy-1,10-phenanthroline, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and UV–vis spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallized in a monoclinic system with space group P21/n, a = 13.3199(8) Å, b = 11.2917(7) Å, c = 16.0832(9) Å, α = 90°, β = 107.827(4)°, and γ = 90°. The complex cation possesses a distorted octahedral geometry, with Jahn–Teller distortion occurring in the CuN4O2 core. The binding interaction with calf thymus DNA (CT–DNA) was investigated by UV–vis and fluorescence spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and viscometry. The results support a partially intercalative binding mode. Efficient cleavage of plasmid DNA by the complex was observed by gel electrophoresis.  相似文献

[Mn(5-ATZ)2Cl2]n (1) (5-ATZ – 5-amino-1-H-tetrazole) was synthesized from the reaction of 5-ATZ and manganese(II) chloride and isolated by solution evaporation at room temperature. 1 was characterized by elemental analysis, X-ray crystallography, infrared, and EPR spectroscopy as well as magnetic measurements. In the crystal structure, [Mn(5-ATZ)2Cl2] units are linked by double μ2-bridging chlorides to form 1-D chains parallel to the a-axis. The Mn sphere approximates to octahedral with the metal coordinated by four chlorides in the equatorial plane and two 5-ATZ molecules, bound through their ring nitrogens, in axial positions. The intramolecular N–H···Cl hydrogen bond between the 5-ATZ amino group and the adjacent coordinated Cl? stabilizes the chain. N–H···N hydrogen bonds between adjacent chains form a 3-D supramolecular framework. No hyperfine coupling to the Mn nuclei (I = 5/2) is observed in the powdered EPR spectrum of 1 at 77 K. The frozen solution EPR spectrum provides evidence of the mononuclearity of 1 in methanol. The magnetic properties have been analyzed using the Hamiltonian H = –JSi · Si+1 with J = ?1.38(3) cm?1 and g = 2.00(1). A small value of the exchange parameter is typical for 1-D six-coordinate bis(μ2-chloro) Mn(II) polymers.  相似文献

A rapid and simple flow injection (FI) method is reported for the determination of vitamin A (retinol) based on its strong enhancing effect on the Ce(IV)–Na2SO3 chemiluminescence (CL) reaction in an acidic solution. The effect of key chemical and physical parameters (i.e., reagent concentrations, flow rate, and sample volume) was optimized and potential interferences examined. Under the selected experimental conditions, a linear calibration was obtained between the CL intensity and vitamin A concentration in the range 0.1–8.0 µg mL?1 (r 2  = 0.9986, n = 8). The limit of detection (3 s x blank) was 0.01 µg mL?1 retinol (n = 6) and the relative standard deviation (RSD) for 0.25 µg mL?1 retinol was 2.3% (n = 10) with a sampling rate of 180 h?1. The method was successfully applied to infant milk-based formulas and pharmaceutical formulations and the results were not significantly different at 95% confidence interval with those obtained by using a spectrophotometric reference method. The possible CL mechanism is also discussed briefly supporting with UV-visible, fluorescence, and CL spectra.  相似文献

Two tetranuclear manganese complexes, [Mn4(L1)6](ClO4)2?2.75H2O (1) [HL1 = 4-methyl-2-((pyridin-2-ylmethylene)amino)phenol] and [Mn4(L2)4(NO3)3(OH)]?pz?3H2O (2) [HL2 = (1H-pyrazol-1-yl)(pyridin-2-yl)methanol, pz = pyrazole], have been synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and magnetic measurements. The structural analysis revealed that the central manganese ion is linked with three apical manganese ions through six phenoxo-bridges creating a Mn4O6 core for 1; 2 has a cubane-like topology with the Mn(II) ions and the deprotonated oxygens from L2 alternatively occupying vertices. The magnetic studies indicated a weak ferromagnetic coupling interaction (J = 0.48 ± 0.087 cm?1, g = 2.00, θ = ?0.78 K) for 1 and a weak antiferromagnetic spin-exchange interaction (J1 = ?0.50 ± 0.075 cm?1, J2 = ?0.13 ± 0.082 cm?1, g = 1.98) between Mn(II) ions for 2. The magnetostructural correlations of the two Mn4 clusters have been discussed tentatively.  相似文献

A new series of symmetrical S-shaped oligomers 4,4?-bis(ω-2-(ω-[(bromophenyl)diazenyl]-alkoxy)phenoxy)hexylbiphenyl consisting of two different spacers (inner -(CH2)6- and outer -(CH2)n-) have been synthesised. Their physical, thermal and texture observation over various transition temperatures are reported. The outer spacers for these compounds vary from n = 4 to n = 9. The oligomers with even number of members exhibit monotropic phase in which the compound with n = 4 shows nematic (N) phase whilst those with members n = 6 and 8 exhibit N and smectic A (SmA) phases. However, the homologs with odd number of members display enantiotropic phase in which the compound with n = 5 exhibits N and smectic phases whereas the members with n = 7 and 9 are predominantly smectogenic. The temperature range of N phase for even-numbered member decreased with elongation of the outer spacer. The smectic phase stability among the members in the present series increases when the outer spacer n is increased from 5 to 8.  相似文献

New mesogenic homologous series bearing 1,3,4-oxadiazole ring with a nitro terminal group, 4-(5-(4-nitrophenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)phenyl 4-((4-methoxybenzylidene)amino)benzoate (G1–G11), were synthesised. Their chemical structures are identified by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) and elemental analysis. The liquid crystalline properties of the series Gn and their precursory Fn were screened by differential scanning calorimetry and optical polarising microscopy (OPM). The compounds of the series Gn were screened by thermogravimetric analysis to observe their thermal stability. The target compounds (Gn) in this study, were displayed different liquid crystalline mesophase, the first two homologous (G1 and G2) did not show any liquid crystalline behaviour, the homologous (G3–G10) which have an alkoxy terminal group (n = 3–10) exhibited nematic phase, whilst the last derivative of the series (G11), n = 12, displayed SmA phase. The mesomorphic properties of these derivatives were affected by the presence of the nitro group at the end of the molecules which was classified as a strong polar group. Also, the role of alkoxy terminal chain and the bent heterocyclic ring (1,3,4-oxadiazole) in the liquid crystalline properties of these molecules were debated.  相似文献

A series of LnIII–SrII heterometallic coordination polymers formulated as [Ln2Sr3(pda)6(H2O)18]·nH2O (Ln = Pr-1, n = 14; Nd-2, n = 12; Sm-3, n = 11; Eu-4, n = 11; Gd-5, n = 16; Tb-6, n = 13; Dy-7, n = 13) were synthesized via assembly of Ln(NO3)3·6H2O, SrCl2·6H2O, pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (H2pda) and imidazole (im) in H2O/C2H5OH solution. Single crystal X-ray diffraction revealed that they are isostructural. All of these complexes possess ladder-shaped 1-D chain structures. The luminescent properties of Sm-3, Eu-4, Gd-5, Tb-6 and Dy-7 have been investigated. The solid-state quantum yields and the lifetimes of Eu-4 and Tb-6 are also studied.  相似文献

A new 1-D alternating copper(II) polymer, [Cu2(L)(OAc)4]n (1) (L = 5-chloro-2-(pyridine-2-yl)benzo[d]thiazole), has been isolated and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, and magnetic susceptibility. The complex crystallized in the triclinic space group P-1, a = 8.2277(16) Å, b = 9.4233(19) Å, c = 15.831(3) Å, α = 103.38(3)°, β = 99.95(3)°, γ = 92.70(3)°, V = 1171.3(4) Å3, and comprises a 1-D polymer linked by three kinds of acetate-bridging modes in an alternating manner. UV–visible and fluorescence spectra revealed that 1 is bound to CT-DNA in a partial intercalation mode. Through gel electrophoresis assays, 1 displayed an efficient oxidative cleavage activity on supercoiled plasmid DNA (pUC19) in the presence of H2O2. Magnetic measurements were performed from 2 to 300 K, and the experimental results were satisfactorily reproduced with J1 = –160 ± 20 cm?1, J2 = 5.8 ± 0.2 cm?1, zJ′ = 0.381 ± 0.005 cm?1 and g = 2.1, showing antiferromagnetic coupling between Cu1 and Cu1i, ferromagnetic exchange between Cu2 and Cu2ii, and a weak ferromagnetic molecular field correction accounting for all interspecies interactions.  相似文献

Novel 9-amino-3-substituted-1,2,3,4-acridin-1-one derivatives and 9,14-diamino-7-substituted-7,8-dihydroquinolino[2,3-a]acridine derivatives were synthesized by the condensation reaction of 5-substituted-1,3-cyclohexanedione with 2-aminobenzonitrile and substituted 2-aminobenzonitrile using p-toluenesulfonic acid, K2CO3, and Cu2Cl2 as catalysts. The structures of all compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared, mass spectrometry, and 1H and 13C NMR spectra. The crystal and molecular structures of 6, 14-diamino-3,4,11,12-tetramethoxy-7-phenyl-7,8-dihydroquinolino[2,3-a]acridine 5a have been determined by single-crystal x-ray diffraction analysis. The crystal of compound 5a belongs to triclinic with space group P-1, a = 1.06168(15) nm, b = 1.16951(17) nm, c = 1.6020(2) nm, α = 71.380(3)°, β = 77.686(3)°, γ = 66.743(3)°, Z = 2, V = 1.7231(4) nm3, R 1 = 0.1060, and wR 2 = 0.2192.  相似文献
