The class composition and the total fatty acid composition of the readily- and difficulty-extractable lipids and the amino acid composition of a protein hydrolysate of the dry biomass from the golden-yellow microalgaMonochrysis lutheri have been determined for the first time. It has been established that the difficulty-extractable lipids differ sharply from the readily extractable lipids in the composition of the neutral and glycolipid components and also in that of the fatty acids; 27% of the weight of the fatty acids of the latter is composed of the 20:4 and 20:5 species. The class composition of the lipids of the biomass of the microalgaMonochrysis lutheri grown under the accumulation regime of cultivation has been investigated for the first time. A predominance of triacylglycerols in the neutral lipids, of phosphatidylcholine in the phospholipids, and of digalactosyldiacylglycerols in the glycolipids has been established. It has been shown that in the biomass ofMonochrysis lutheri grown under the conditions of an accumulation culture with periodic illumination the level of total lipids, including the majority of classes of glycolipids and some phospholipids, is lower than on continuous illumination. In the fatty acids of the triacylglycerols the amounts of the 20:4 and 20:5 species were somewhat lower while the amounts of polar lipids had increased.  相似文献

The effect of a hydrolyzed protein preparation on the growth and biomass yield of the blue-gree algaSpirulina platensis was studied. At the optimum dosage, the hydrolysate enhancedSpirulina productivity by almost 40% when compared to untreated cultures. This increased productivity correlated with an increase in the level of nitrogen assimilating enzymes, nitrate reductase and glutamine synthetase.  相似文献

The phospholipid composition of two species of infusorians (Ciliophora) has been investigated. It has been shown that the alkyl form is present in the phosphatidylethanolamines and their phosphonic analogs, and in the phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, and phosphatidylinositol. The main fatty acid in the total lipid extracts was arachidonic. The main alkyl ethers of glycerol were batyl and selachyl alcohols. A method for the routine analysis of phenylthiocarbamyl (PTC) amino acids by thermospray high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (TSP LC-MS) is described. Data were acquired on a small dedicated TSP LC-MS system in which the temperature of the vaporizer and ion source block were optimized. PTC-amino acids exhibited unique TSP mass spectra containing sufficient fragment ions to determine structural data. Therefore, using this method the amino acids contained in the acid hydrolysates of unique and modified peptides were able to be positively identified. Additionally, the amino acid composition of peptides as determined by TSP LC-MS in the selected ion monitoring mode corresponded well with the theoretical value. The detection limits for the PTC-amino acids were at the low picomole level.  相似文献
