A method has been developed for quantitatively determining 3 typical diisocyanates, viz. 2,4-toluylene diisocyanate (2,4-TDI), hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) and 4,4-diphenyl-methane diisocyanate (MDI). The technique relies on chemisorption onto a suitable carrier material contained in an absorption tube coated with 1-(2-pyridyl)piperazine (2-PP). Stable urea derivatives with high molar absorptivity are formed, desorbed from the carrier material, separated by means of highpressure liquid chromatography and identified. The limits of detection for a sample volume of 20 1 of air are 0.9g m–3 for 2,4-TDI and HDI, and 0.6g m–3 for MDI. The derivatives are stable at 4°C for longer than 30 days. The influence of atmospheric humidity and the interference of dibutylamine on the detection reaction were investigated for 2,4-TDI and HDI. The whole procedure is easy to perform, highly sensitive and very reproducible and is suitable for monitoring concentrations of 2,4-TDI, HDI and MDI.Dedicated to Prof. Dr. W. The predictive accuracy for estimating infinite dilution activity coefficients by a modification of the UNIFAC method wherein the group interaction parameters were based on only data (referred to as -based UNIFAC) has been studied. Estimates and measured values were compared for six prototypical solutes in a series of homologous n-alkanes, l-alcohols and alkanenitrile solvents. Despite the fact that the interaction parameters were derived using only data, this approach still gave serious errors due to several inherent problems in the original UNIFAC model. Its performance is sometimes even poorer than that of the original UNIFAC method. For example for nitromethane in alcohols and p-dioxane in nitriles values predicted by the -based UNIFAC are essentially zero. The large errors for these systems are most likely due to inaccurate interaction parameters in the -based UNIFAC method.  相似文献

The combinations and disproportionations of the CH3 and 2-propyl (iP) radicals with the 1,1,2-trimethylallyl (TMA) radical have been studied in the gas phase in the temperature interval of 389–451 K and 490–540 K, respectively. For the ratios of the terminal (t) and non-terminal (n) combinations of the CH3 and iP radicals with the TMA radical, values of 1.9±0.1 and 2.84±±0.10 were obtained, respectively. The ratios of the tt and tn and nn to tn combinations of the TMA radical were 1.59 and 0.46, respectively. The disproportionation-combination rations were (CH3 , TMA)=0.022±±0.012 and (iP, TMA)=0.026±0.011.

The thermal decompositions of dicitratoborates M1[B(C6H6O7)2]·nH2O (n=0–2, M1=Rb, K, Li, NH4) and M11[B(C6H6O7)2]2·8H2O (M11=Co, Ni, Mn, Cu, Zn, Cd) were investigated by means of TG, DTA and DTG methods. It was found that these thermal decompositions involve three successive stages: dehydration, the endothermal decomposition of the ligand, and oxidation of the residual organic component. The volatile products of decomposition in each stage were detected by means of gas chromatography. The method of TG-curve transformation into the curvedm/d T vs.m, wherem is the loss of weight at each moment of time, was used for a more detailed study of dehydration. The optimal conditions for TG-curve modification were found.
Zusammenfassung Die thermische Zersetzung von Dicitratboraten der allgemeinen Formeln M1[B(C6H6O7)2]·nH2O (n=0–2;M 1=Rb, K, Li, NH4) und M11[B(C6H6O7)2]2·8H2O (M 11=Co, Ni, Mn, Cu, Zn, Cd) wurden mittels TG, DTA und DTG untersucht. Es wurde gefunden, daß die thermische Zersetzung dieser Verbindungen in drei Schritten verläuft: Dehydratisierung, endotherme Zersetzung des Liganden und Oxydation des organischen Rückstandes. Die flüchtigen Zersetzungsprodukte eines jeden Stadiums wurden gaschromatographisch detektiert. Zur detailierten Untersuchung der Dehydratisierung wurden die TG-Kurven zu Kurven transformiert, in denendm/dT gegenm dargestellt ist, wobeim der Gewichtsverlust zu einer gegebenen Zeit ist. Die optimalen Bedingungen für die TG-Kurvenmodifikation wurden festgestellt.

The oxidation of amino acids by chloramine-T (CAT) in HCl medium at 30°C indicates simultaneous catalysis by H+ and Cl ions in the HCl concentration range of 0.04–0.12 M. The reaction is first order with respect to concentrations [CAT], [H+] and [arginine], but zero order with respect to [histidine]. The rate depends also on Cl concentration following 0.7th order. At HCl concentrations >0.12 M, the rate equation is:w=k[CAT] [amino acid]0.6 and is independent of the [Cl]. A suitable mechanism has been suggested.

From a comparison of the X-ray difractograms for various ZSM-5 zeolites the isomorphous substitution of framework Si4+ by large cations (Al3+, Ga3+, Fe3+) is suggested to be ordered as contrasted to the statistical substitution by small ones (B3+).

The chlorination of p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) by chloramine-B (CAB) in HCl medium at 303 K indicates simultaneous catalysis by H+ and Cl. The reaction is first order in [CAB] and [HCl], but fractional order in [PABA]. The observed solvent isotope effect is 1.52. A suitable mechanism is proposed.

The reactions between formaldehyde and n-propyl radicals were studied at 333 and 363 K. Addition to the C=O bond was found to be several times faster than abstraction of the formyl hydrogen atom. With a TST estimate of log(A/dm3 mol–1 s–1)=7.9±0.5, 28.0±2.1 kJ mol–1 was obtained for the activation energy of the addition reaction.

ESR and IR-spectrosocpic studies of the effect of the state of vanadium ions on the IR-spectra of adsorbed CO have revealed complex formation of CO with V4+ (vCO at 2192 and 2205 cm–1) and V3+ (vCO at 2178 and 2185 cm–1) ions.
