在对称的光学厚度为1/4波长光子晶体体系中插入另一光学厚度为半波长的光子晶体形成光量子阱.通过控制入射光强可微小地改变此含缺陷光子晶体材料的介电常数,从而可形成高效的多通道光学开关,同时位于中心频率处的EM波保持高透射.研究表明该光学开关的阈值随缺陷光子晶体的层数增加而减小.  相似文献

系统介绍了几种基于瞬态光克尔效应的超快光学快门技术,包括传统的光克尔双折射快门技术,瞬态光栅快门技术,以及利用瞬态克尔透镜效应的光学快门技术。这些技术都是在泵浦-探测的实验配置基础上,利用门控光对克尔介质折射率的瞬态调制导致的信号光的相位(偏振态)、传播方向或光束发散角等光学特性的改变实现对信号光的超快时间分辨测量。对比讨论了这些超快快门技术的工作原理和实验配置,结果表明瞬态光束偏折快门技术相比其他快门技术具有无偏振配置要求、无相位匹配条件、超宽带光谱响应范围的特点,在光与物质相互作用的超快动力学研究中具有更为广阔的应用前景。  相似文献

生长了不同硼酸掺杂浓度的KDP晶体,用超显微镜了晶体内部的散射颗粒,检测了晶体的光损耗和透过率特性。实验结果表明,较高浓度的硼酸对KDP晶体的光学均匀特性有较大影响,并使晶体具有显著的旋光性和波片效应。  相似文献

根据串联光折变晶体回路中独立空间孤子对理论,研究了明暗孤子对之间的相互依赖特性.假设一束暗孤子波和一束高斯光束分别入射到回路中两块晶体上,利用数值计算方法讨论了改变其中暗孤子光束的强度对高斯光束在另外一个晶体中传播特性的影响.结果表明,调节暗孤子的强度能够影响高斯光束的传播特性,可以决定高斯光束在晶体中是否能够演化为稳定传播的明孤子波 关键词: 非线性光学 光折变效应 光折变空间孤子对 高斯光束  相似文献

研究了无耗晶体的扩散效应对高斯光束在光伏光折变晶体中孤波演化特性的影响。结果表明,对于给定的与晶体参量匹配的高斯光束,晶体的扩散效应将造成高斯光束孤波演化的自偏转,而且其自偏转过程与同参量的屏蔽光伏明孤子的自偏转过程具有极其类似的特征。同时发现,高斯光束的波形即光束的横截面对其孤波演化的自偏转影响最大。比较了高斯光束孤波演化的自偏转与明孤波自偏转的理论曲线,结果表明,对于匹配的高斯光束,其自偏转程度与解析计算结果非常接近。  相似文献

利用晶体的电光效应设计了一种可以取代像增强器曝光闸门作用的电光开关系统,阐明了晶体电光效应的原理及电光开关取代像增强器的必要性与可行性,借助光学软件Zemax仿真得到了光开关的光路系统以及开关通断时的光斑图样,此仿真结果以及静态实验结果都表明,晶体光开关可应用于激光雷达光路中,且曝光时间可达ns量级,从而摆脱对像增强器的依赖。  相似文献

Transmission and reflection of an electromagnetic pulse through a dielectric slab doped with the quantum dot molecules are investigated. It is shown that the transmission and reflection coefficients depend on the inter-dot tunneling effect and can be simply controlled by applying a gate voltage without any changing in the refractive index or thickness of the slab. Such simple controlling prepares an active beam splitter which can be used in all optical switching, optical limiting, and other optical systems.  相似文献

Two effects have been analytically and numerically studied: Goos-Hänchen shift, which is acquired by an optical beam reflected from a gradient inhomogeneity, and tunneling of radiation through a narrow induced inhomogeneity. A possibility of increasing the lateral beam shift in comparison with total internal reflection from a homogeneous medium is revealed. The dependence of the tunneling coefficient on the inhomogeneity parameters is determined and the critical inhomogeneity width at which the tunneling effect arises is found.  相似文献

The method of spatial switching of the propagation direction of an optical signal, based on the effect of signal wave reflection upon interaction with a high-power pump beam in bulk photorefractive media with defocusing nonlinearity has been considered for the first time. Criteria of signal reflection from a pump-induced optical inhomogeneity in a material are determined. Trajectories of the signal wave center are obtained for characteristic reflection parameters.  相似文献

We analyze the optical (or microwave) tunneling properties of electromagnetic waves passing through thin films presenting a specific index profile that provides a cutoff frequency when the films are used below this frequency. We show that, contrary to the usual case of a square index profile, where tunneling is accompanied by a strong attenuation of the wave due to reflection, such films present the possibility of reflectionless tunneling, where the incoming intensity is totally transmitted.  相似文献

The evolution of switching wave fronts in thin-layer bistable Fabry-Perot interferometers with a specified topology of the transverse distribution of the optical thickness of an intermediate layer is studied. The conditions of passage of switching waves through the boundary between regions with different thicknesses and of tunneling of waves through a barrier of a variable thickness and width formed by two such boundaries are determined by numerical modeling. The possibilities of the formation of planar waveguide channels, regions of retardation and acceleration of the motion of switching waves, and points of the splitting and joining of their fronts are demonstrated, as well as the possibility of creating planar structures on this basis that can perform optical logic operations.  相似文献

Using Yasumoto and ?ishi's energy flux method, a generalized analytical formulation for analyzing the Goos-H?nchen (GH) shift in frustrated total internal reflection is provided, from which the GH shift given by Artman's stationary phase method is shown to equal the GH calculated by Renard's conventional energy flux method plus a self-interference shift. The self-interference shift, originating from the interference between the incident and reflected beams, sheds light on the asymptotic behavior of the GH shift in such optical tunneling process in term of energy flux.  相似文献

We study the reflection of Bloch wave packets at the interface of an optical lattice possessing a shallow longitudinal out-of-phase refractive index modulation in the adjacent waveguides. We show that the relation between the transmitted and reflected energy flows can be efficiently controlled by tuning the frequency and depth of the modulation. Thus, complete beam reflection may be achieved for a set of resonant modulation frequencies at which light tunneling between adjacent guides of modulated lattice is inhibited.  相似文献

We study the interplay between pulse width, interference and tunneling for a wave packet incident upon a barrier and, within the context of tunneling time, we offer a complementary insight into the origin of the Hartman effect. We find that interference together with momentum spread lower (increase) the transmission (reflection) tunneling time thereby `breaking the symmetry between transmission and reflection times'. But, within the limits of our method, we are unable to confirm that negative tunneling time can be obtained.  相似文献

The Goos-Hänchen shift at the surface of a uniaxially anisotropic left-handed material film is investigated, for the situation of that there is an arbitrary angle between the optical axis and the interface of the material. The analytical expressions of the Goos-Hänchen shifts are derived, for both cases of that the total reflection occurs and does not occur at the first interface. The sign of the Goos-Hänchen shifts in the two situations is analysed. The results show that the Goos-Hänchen shift of the reflected wave is the same as that of the transmitted one for the case that the total reflection does not occur at the first interface; the Goos-Hänchen shift of the transmitted wave oscillates as the thickness of the film is increased, and its overall tendency is increased; the Goos-Hänchen shift of the transmitted wave realizes its absolute maximum when the transmitted wave resonances, the absolute maximum is almost several 10 times of the wavelength of the incident wave; the Goos-Hänchen shift of the transmitted wave is significantly influenced by the incident angle and the angle between the optical axis and the interface.  相似文献
