我们在一个循环四能级相干原子系统中,理论研究了抽运场与调制场强度对信号场增益的作用。研究表明,在循环四能级相干原子介质中,调制场改变了四个能级间的粒子数布居分布,导致信号场被增益放大。对于N型四能级原子系统,当加入微小的调制场(调制场强度与信号场相等)时,共振处信号增益峰值提高了12倍。相干抽运场诱导信号场放大,且改变抽运场强度可以实现信号场由对应粒子数反转增益到无粒子数反转增益。且随着抽运场强度增加,共振增益的取值先变大后变小。该循环系统在光放大及增益效应研究中可能有重要应用。  相似文献

里德伯态光谱是测量里德伯态能级结构和中性原子间相互作用的常用技术手段,特别是高精度的里德伯光谱,可以测量室温原子气室中由偶极相互作用等导致的原子能级频移.在实验中利用反向的852 nm激光和509 nm激光实现了室温原子气室中铯原子6S_(1/2)—6P_(3/2)—57S(D)跃迁的级联双光子激发,实现了里德伯态原子的制备.基于阶梯型电磁诱导透明获得了铯原子里德伯态的高分辨光谱.实验中,基于速度选择的射频边带调制技术,对光谱信号进行了频率标定,测量了铯原子里德伯态57D_(3/2)和57D_(5/2)的精细分裂,分裂间隔为(354.7±2.5)MHz,与理论计算结果基本一致.速度选择的射频调制光谱可以实现里德伯态原子的能级分裂测量,其测量精度对于单光子跃迁的绝对激光频率不敏感;实验中影响57D_(3/2)和57D_(5/2)精细分裂间隔测量精度的主要因素是功率加宽导致的电磁感应透明信号的展宽和509 nm激光频率扫描的非线性.  相似文献

研究了脉冲激光激发下半导体量子点激子Rabi振荡中多能级过程引起的退相干特性.运用多能级粒子数运动方程组,分别计算和分析了三种多能级过程(双激子、浸润层泄漏以及俄歇俘获过程)对量子点中Rabi振荡衰减的影响.分析表明,双激子的影响在激发脉冲的脉宽较长时(>5ps)可以忽略;浸润层的泄漏虽然使得激子基态上粒子数振荡的振幅随着激发场的增强而减小,但是同时也导致了振荡平均值的减小;分析和讨论了两种俄歇俘获方式对激子振荡和复合发光的影响. 关键词: Rabi振荡 半导体量子点 退相干 俄歇俘获  相似文献

 建立了激光在工作时的动态模型,即假设在单位时间内,激光介质的粒子数全部被泵浦到上能级。引入激光介质重复泵浦次数的概念,根据能量守恒原理,通过分析氧碘化学激光器(COIL)的传能机理,计算了沿气流方向变化的碘原子上能级的弛豫时间及沿气流方向变化的碰撞传能时间,并且计算了碘原子在出光区内被单重态氧反复泵浦的次数及相应的残余单重态氧数目,从而计算出碘原子在出光区的反复泵浦次数,修正了原计算COIL输出功率的公式。理论计算与实验结果均表明:当碘流量过低时,增益小于损耗,激光器不能起振;当增大碘流量时,激光输出功率也逐步增大,反复泵浦次数逐渐减少;当碘流量继续增大时,激光输出功率达到最大,且在一定碘流量变化范围内基本保持稳定;但随着碘流量的进一步增大,激光输出功率却逐步下降。  相似文献

在延迟脉冲激光场作用下的V型原子系统中,实现了对相干布居俘获,电磁感应透明的相干相位调制,选择适当的能级其调制频率可以达到飞秒量级.利用数值和解析分析得到了延迟脉冲和叠加态粒子数布居的关系,以及粒子布居受光场相位调制的特点和变化规律.利用这种机理可以实现飞秒量级的量子开关作用. 关键词: 相干相位调制 相干布居俘获 电磁感应透明 量子开关  相似文献

利用多组态求解相对论性的Hartree-Fock-Roothan方程(HFR)方法计算了类氖离子(Z=13~27)2s^22p^5—2s^22p^53s能级之间跃迁的原子参量,包括类氖氩激光系统的能级,振子强度,自发辐射衰变速率,能级寿命,电子碰撞激发截面及电子碰撞激发速率系数等。以类氖氩离子为例,分析了等离子体内46.9nm激光跃迁的粒子数反转的形成及谱线放大过程,讨论了其它几条谱线产生增益的可能性,分析了激光线振子强度随核电荷数的变化规律。根据获得的原子参量,计算了利用毛细管放电产生类氖氩和类氖氪x射线激光的放电参量,其中类氖氩毛细管放电的初始压强的范围为30~90Pa,放电电流峰值为10~50kA。理论计算结果为类氖氩x光激光实验分析,深入研究等离子体反转动力学,激光增益的估算及理论方案设计等提供了基本数据。  相似文献

相干布居数拍频(coherent population beating, CPB)现象, 产生于一个Λ型三能级原子系统中, 当双色相干激光场的频率差和两基态能级频率间隔近失谐的时候, 原子在激发态能级上的布居数会产生一个弛豫振荡, 且振荡频率等于失谐量. 当将此现象运用于原子标准频率的提取时, CPB频标的稳定度与CPB信号的幅度及信噪比直接相关. 本文理论推导了描述CPB 现象的表达式, 数值模拟并实验研究了87Rb基态超精细子能级的相干性对CPB信号的影响, 通过控制与基态子能级共振相干激光场的抽运时间来控制能级的相干程度, 观测不同相干程度对CPB信号质量的影响. 研究结果表明CPB信号振荡的幅度与基态子能级相干程度成正比关系. 要改善CPB信号信噪比、提高原子频标稳定度, 建立、提高和保持基态超精细能级的相干性是关键. 本文还讨论了CPB现象用于弱磁场测量及其他方面应用的可行性.  相似文献

Digital operation of an all-optical intensity switch is demonstrated in a two-mode interferometer constructed from ytterbium-doped fiber. We clamp the resonantly enhanced phase shift responsible for the switching by allowing the fiber to lase, resulting in a bistable, digital response. The degree of phase shift at the clamping point can be controlled by adjustment of the laser threshold, and for complete switching (phase shift of pi) the power length product PL(pi) was estimated to be 1.3 mW m . Isolation of 11 dB was observed, with switching speed limited by the relaxation time of ytterbium.  相似文献

A new effect of transient mode competition in directly modulated DFB laser based on equivalent phase-shift(EPS) technique is presented and studied. Since there are multi-order reflections in EPS structure and if the 0th order subgrating is properly designed, the transient lasing of 0th order will occur during the rising time of the injection current. As a result, transient mode competition between ?1st order(main mode) and 0th order will occur accordingly. This can consume redundant carrier and suppress the transient relaxation oscillation, which may be applied in some areas like on-off switching modulation of DFB semiconductor lasers. As an example, an equivalent ? phase shift(?-EPS) is carefully designed to realize the effect. In such a laser the 0th order wavelength is in the margin of the material gain region and the ?1st order wavelength is around the gain peak, while the stable single longitudinal mode(SLM) operation of the ?1st order is guaranteed. The simulation investigation is performed. Good results with suppressed relaxation oscillation and 1.25 Gb/s directly on-off modulation(32 d B extinction ratio) are demonstrated. We believe it provides a new kind of method for on-off switching with high extinction ratio and weak relaxation oscillation.  相似文献

We study chaos synchronization experimentally in a modulated globally coupled three-mode laser with different modal gains subjected to self-mixing Doppler-shifted feedback, which can apply the loss modulation to individual modes at Doppler-shift frequencies. Depending on the pump power, different forms of collective chaos synchronizations were found to appear when the laser was modulated at the highest relaxation oscillation frequency, reflecting the change in cross-saturation coefficient among modes. In the present experiment, each pair of modes exhibited phase, lag, or generalized synchronization collectively according to the inherent antiphase dynamics, where these types of synchronization have already been demonstrated in two coupled chaotic oscillators in different physical systems. Information flows among oscillating modes which are established in different forms of collective chaos synchronizations were characterized by information-circulation analysis of the experimental time series. 从极化团簇的随机涨落出发, 利用维纳过程模型, 推导了铁电体中极化长程涨落的弛豫规律以及光强自相关函数所可能的表现形式. 阐述了微观极化团簇的弛豫过程与宏观测量弛豫规律之间的联系. 通过对原有氦氖激光光子关联谱实验装置进行改进, 观测了BaTiO3和0.71Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.29PbTiO3单晶中极化团簇长程涨落在居里点和立方到四方相变点附近的弛豫过程. 在BaTiO3中发现极化团簇长程涨落在居里点之上4 K存在双弛豫现象, 此现象与其有序无序相变机理相联系. 在Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.29PbTiO3中发现极化团簇长程涨落在相变点两侧都存在双弛豫现象. 利用推导的理论结果很好地拟合了实验结果并提取了极化团簇长程涨落的弛豫时间. 两种样品中极化团簇长程涨落的弛豫时间都在相变点出现突变, 并呈现临界慢化现象.  相似文献

报道了在低频直接相位调制下,掺铒光纤激光器的脉冲现象。在光纤激光器谐振腔中插入带尾纤的LiNbO3相位调制器,利用低频周期性信号进行相位调制,能够得到重复频率为几十千赫到几百千赫左右的均匀、稳定的脉冲光输出,且发现激光光谱变化等现象。分析表明,这种脉冲现象难以用调Q、锁模等传统的脉冲光理论进行有效地解释。简要讨论了脉冲光产生的物理机制,通过对相位调制与“驰豫振荡”关系的研究,唯象地认为相位调制和“驰豫振荡”是脉冲光产生的原因。  相似文献

Coherent-burst laser ranging: decoupling resolution and unambiguous range   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A novel signal encoding and decoding method for laser ranging is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The coherent-burst method uses a quasi-continuous interrupted burst of modulated laser radiation to achieve high-precision ranging at all distances. Both time of flight and phase shift are determined based on an amplitude-modulation pattern that has electronic coherence with a master oscillator. High-frequency modulation provides high absolute precision, while measured temporal delay from transmission to reception eliminates potential uncertainty from aliasing. The method is demonstrated with low-power diode lasers that can be modulated at frequencies in excess of 250 MHz.  相似文献

We investigate the lateral shift of optical beam in complex dielectric multilayers with nearly parity–time (PT) symmetry. The gain and loss of dielectrics are modulated to achieve nearly PT symmetry. As light impinges on the multilayers, a laser point (LP) and exceptional points (EPs) appear in the parameter space composed of the incident angle and refractive index. The phase of reflection dislocates at the LP and EPs, inducing large lateral shift around these points. The shift can be positive and negative, and the polarities of the lateral shift convert at the LP and EPs. The shift, which is sensitive to the incident angle and refractive index of dielectrics, could be tuned flexibly. The study may find potential applications in highly sensitive sensors.  相似文献

利用双波长飞秒激光抽运-探测实验方法测量了掺氮多晶ZnTe薄膜在飞秒激光加热情况下载能子超快动力学过程. 采用包含电子弛豫过程和晶格加热过程的理论模型拟合实验数据, 二者符合得很好. 拟合得到10 ps以内影响掺氮多晶ZnTe薄膜表面超快反射率变化的三个弛豫过程的时间常数均为亚皮秒量级. 其中, 正振幅电子弛豫过程是由电子-光子相互作用引起的载流子扩散和带间载流子冷却过程, 负振幅电子弛豫过程是由缺陷造成的光激载能子的俘获效应引起的, 晶格加热过程主要通过电子-声子耦合过程进行的.  相似文献

The ultrafast thermalization processes of Au film irradiated by multi-pulse sequences with variable temporal separation were investigated by numerical simulations. Two temporally sequential thermal relaxation mechanisms including the two temperature relaxation and the thermal diffusion relaxation were demonstrated. With inclusion of the electron ballistic effect, we obtained the full 2-D temperature fields evolution dominated by the two distinct relaxation mechanisms. It is proposed that the laser thermalization processes can be greatly promoted through choosing the optimized temporal separation of the pulse train. We also found that the two temperature relaxation period can be modulated by changing the pulse train parameters such as the temporal separation, the pulse durations and the pulse number in a train.  相似文献
