Synchrotron radiation is used to excite selectively the chlorine molecule in a Ne buffer gas. Due to the fast relaxation induced by the buffer gas, in the excitation spectrum of the D′→A′ emission at 258 nm, a new progression is observed. It is attributed to the 3 1Σu+ state which is the result of an avoided crossing between the Rydberg state πg→5pπ and the valence state (1441) (σg→σu). It is characterized by Te=83251 cm−1, ωe=783 cm−1, ωexe=29.6 cm−1 and re=1.844 Å.  相似文献

Medium-resolution spectra of the N2 b1Πu-X1Σg+ band system were recorded by 1 + 1 multiphoton ionization. In the spectra we found different linewidths for transitions to different vibrational levels in the b 1Πu state: Δν0 = 0.50 ± 0.05 cm−1, Δν1 = 0.28 ± 0.02 cm−1, Δν2 = 0.65 ± 0.06 cm−1, Δν3 = 3.2 ± 0.5 cm−1, Δν4 = 0.60 ± 0.07 cm−1, and Δν5 = 0.28 ± 0.02 cm−1. From these linewidths, predissociation lifetimes τν were obtained: τ0 = 16 ± 3 ps, τ1 > 150 ps, τ2 = 10 ± 2 ps, τ3 = 1.6 ± 0.3 ps, τ4 = 9 ± 2 ps, and τ5 > 150 ps. Band origins and rotational constants for the b 1Πuν = 0 and 1 levels were determined for the 14N2 and 14N15N molecules.  相似文献

The radiative lifetimes of nine vibrational levels of the C3(1Πu) radical were obtained from decay time studies of the C3(1Πu1Σ+g) fluorescence induced by a tunable dye laser. The lifetimes of the different vibronic levels were found to be constant within the experimental error limits, namely, τo = (200 ± 10) ns. The collisional deactivation of the C3(1Πu) states by helium gives rate constants between 2.5 and 4 in 10−11 cm3 molecule−1 s−1 units.  相似文献

The 61Πu state of sodium dimer has been observed up to v = 53 in excitation spectra of the system, recorded by polarisation labelling spectroscopy technique. The Dunham coefficients are derived and the potential energy curve constructed by the inverted perturbation approach method. Equilibrium constants for the 61Πu state of Na2 are: Te = 35446.06 ± 0.04 cm−1 (with respect to the minimum of the electronic ground state), Y10 = 111.388 ± 0.019 cm−1, Y01 = 0.112122 ± 0.000017 cm−1.  相似文献

Absorption and fluorescent scattering of nitrogen laser radiation by a low-pressure RF laboratory plasma (ne = 1012 cm−3) has been observed for the first negative system of N2+. A 67±1 ns lifetime of N2+ (B 2Σu+) was experimentally measured from the laser-induced fluorescence. In addition, enough collisionally excited N2 (B 3Πg) was produced to observe laser-induced fluorescence for the second positive system of N2. The lifetime of N2 (C 3Πu) was found to be 41±2 ns. The measured lifetimes are in good agreement with published values calculated from theory.  相似文献

Mg+—Ar ion—molecule complexes are produced in a pulsed supersonic nozzle cluster source. The complexes are mass selected and studied with laser photodissociation spectroscopy in a reflectron time-of-flight mass spectrometer system. An electronic transition assigned as X 2Σ+2Π is observed with an origin at 31387 cm−1 (vac) for 24Mg+—Ar. The 24Mg+—Ar spectrum is characterized by a 15 member progression with a frequency (ω′e) of 272 cm−1. An extrapolation of this progression fixes the excited state dissociation energy (Do) at 5552 cm−1. The corresponding ground-state value (Do) is 1270 cm−1 (3.6 kcal/mol). The 2Π , spin—orbit splitting is 76 cm.  相似文献

The T1,2 ← S0 spectra of benzaldehydes have been studied as a function of the energy separation between the vibrationless levels. It is shown that the spectra are very complicated in the region of ΔE[T20(nπ*)-T10(ππ*)] = 250–400 cm−1, reflecting effective vibronic interferences between T20(0-0) and each of the ν3633 out-of-plane vibrational levels of T10(ππ*). The simulated spectra correspond to the observed spectra. In the case of T10 = 3* and T20 = 3ππ* the spectral change is not so drastic as in the reverse case loc. cit. because the optical intensity generally concentrates in the longest wavelength band, i.e., the origin band of the T1(nπ*) ← S0 transition. The simulation spectra are useful for interpretation of the absorption spectra in similar electronic structure systems of substituted benzaldehydes.  相似文献

The 4067 Å line of the krypton-ion laser covers two transitions in the BO+u-X O+g system of 130Te2, R(36) in the 16-0 band and R(172) in the 18-0 band. Subsequent fluorescence has been recorded by Fourier transform spectrometry in the range 5900 to 15000 cm−1. Many transitions, with v' in the range 0 to 47, have been assigned to a new system, B O+u-b1+g, and vibrational and rotational constants for the new state have been derived. The value of Te for b Ig+ is about 9600.2 cm−1.  相似文献

Autoionizing Rydberg levels of Li2 molecules in a supersonic molecular beam are populated by stepwise excitation with two tunable pulsed dye lasers. The observed autoionization spectra show severe perturbations. Based on calculations of quantum defects and a perturbation treatment of l-uncoupling a tentative assignment of Rydberg series up to n = 32 is proposed. The convergence limits of these series yield a value of IP = 41475 cm−1 for the adiabatic ionization potential and a vibrational constant ωe = 263 cm−1 for the X2Σ+g ground state of Li+2. The experimental results are compared with ab initio calculations combined with a core polarization potential, which yield the potential curve. the dissociation energy, the quadrupole moment and the vibrational frequency for the X2Σ+g ground state of Li+2, in the excellent agreement with experimental findings.  相似文献

Large-scale CEPA-1 calculations have been carried out for linear C5, a molecule of substantial interest to combustion processes and astrochemistry. The equilibrium bond lengths are predicted to be 1.289 Å (outer CC bond) and 1.283 Å (inner CC bond), with an accuracy of 0.002 Å. The calculated ν3 band origins of 2161 cm−1 (105 CGTO basis) and 2137 cm−1 (150 CGTO basis) are in good agreement with the experimental value of 2169 cm−1. This band has an extremely large transition moment of 0.74 D. The less intense stretching fundamental ν4 (μ=0.18 D) is predicted to occur at 1478 ± 10 cm−1. Predictions for the totally symmetric stretching and the bending vibrational frequencies (in cm−1) are 2008 (1σg+), 792 (2σg+), 570 (1πu), 209 (1πg) and 119 (2πu).  相似文献

The mid-infrared spectrum of the ionic complex He---NH4+ has been recorded in the vicinity of the triply degenerate ν3 (t2) vibration of the free ammonium ion. Apart from a small blue shift (≈ 0.7 cm−1), the spectrum of the complex closely resembles that of the monomer. Ab initio calculations predict a vertex-bound minimum structure with an intermolecular well depth De ≈ 150 cm−1, a center-of-mass separation of Re ≈ 3.17 Å and barriers for internal rotation less than 30 cm−1.  相似文献

Large-scale ab initio coupled cluster and multi-reference configuration interaction calculations (MRD-CI) are carried out to determine the equilibrium geometry and the vertical electronic spectrum of linear C5+. Contrary to prior theoretical estimates we find three low-lying states within an energy range of 0.3 eV: 2Σu+, 2Σg+ and 2Πg and a symmetric arrangement of nuclei. Transitions from 2Σu+ to these low-lying states are dipole-allowed; sizeable oscillator strengths are computed for the 2Π+g←X2Σu+ transition at 2.62 eV and the 2Σg←X2Σu+ transition at 3.36 eV and should give a guide to spectroscopic identification of linear C5+.  相似文献

The fraction FΣ of excited-state oxygen formed as b 1Σg+ was determined for a series of triplet-state photosensitizers in CCl4 solutions. FΣ was determined by monitoring the intensities of (a) O2(b 1Σg+) fluorescence at 1926 nm (O2(b 1Σg+)→O2(a 1Δg) and (b) O2(a 1 Δg) phosphorescence at 1270 nm (O2(a 1Δg) → O2(X3Σg)). Oxygen excited states were formed by energy transfer from substituted benzophenones and acetophenones. The data indicate that FΣ depends on several variables including the orbital configuration of the lowest triplet state and the triplet-state energy. The available data indicate that the sensitizer-oxygen charge transfer (CT) state is not likely to influence FΣ strongly by CT-mediated mixing of various sensitizer-oxygen states.  相似文献

The interaction between Mo2(O2CCH3)4, Me3SiI and I2 in THF resulted in oxygen abstraction from the solvent and formation of [Mo2(μ-O)(μ-I)(μ-O2CCH3) I2(THF)4]+[MoOI4(THF)] and I---(CH2)4---I. The molybdenum complex has been characterized by X-ray diffractometry. Crystal data: triclinic, space group P , a = 13.827(3) Å; b = 15.803(7) Å; c = 9.950(3) Å; = 93.34(4)°; β = 102.40(2)°; γ = 90.09(2)°; V = 2120(2) Å3; Z = 2; dcalc = 2.559 g cm−3; R = 0.0476 (Rw = 0.0613) for 370 parameters and 3938 data with F02> 3σ(F02). The metal-metal distance in the cation is 2.527(2) Å and indicates a strong interaction. The magnetic behavior is consistent with the assignment of one unpaired electron to the Mo27+ core of the cation and one to the d1 Mo(V) center of the anion. The interaction between Mo(CO)6 and I2 in THF also results in the formation of 1,4-diiodobutane.  相似文献

The new iodoammonium salts o-C6H4(NH2)2I+I (1) and o-C6H4(NH2)2I+ AsF6 (2) were prepared by reaction of o-phenylene diamine with I2 or I3+AsF6, respectively. Compound 1 reacts with AlI3 yielding quantitatively the corresponding tetraiodoaluminate o-C6H4(NH2)2I+AlI4 (3). The species were characterized by chemical analysis, vibrational (IR and Raman) and temperature-dependent 1H NMR spectropscopy. Direct evidence for a N---I bond was found in the Raman spectra of 1, 2 and 3 (ν(NI) = 599–600 cm−1).  相似文献

Rotational-state distributions of the CO+ (A–X, B–X) and N2+(B–X) emissions produced by the collisions of He(2 3S) with CO and N2 were studied in the collision energy (ER range 100–200 meV. The rotational populations of the emitting states can be fitte by single Boltzmann temperatures (TR. The TR (320 ± 30 K) for the ν′ = 3 and 4 levels of the CO+ (A2Π) state are nearly independent of, or slightly increase with, ER, while TR for the CO+(B2Σ+, ν′ = 0) state increases rapidly with ER.The TR (430 ± 20 K) for the N2+(B2Σ+, ν′ = 0) state is nearly independent or slightly decreases with increasing ER. The continuous absorption spectrum of molecular bromine has been examined using laser induced photodissociation spectroscopy. In this technique, Br2 molecules are photolyzed using a flashlamp-pumped dye laser; the atomic products of the dissociation are then monitored by time-resolved resonance absorption spectroscopy in the vacuum ultraviolet. The relative absorptivities for the transitions B3Πo+u ← X1Σ+g and 1Π1u ← X1Σ+g have been obtained at 18350, 21010 and 22125 cm−1.  相似文献

The triplet state (32T) and the radical cation (2T+√) of 2,2′-bithiophene (2T) are characterized by pulse radiolysis in CCl4. Two main absorption bands at 360 and 420 nm are respectively attributed to 32T* and to 2T+√. The triplet, induced in an excited state through a Förster mechanism, undergoes a conformational rearrangement (k6=(6.8±0.9)×106 s−1). The radical cation is produced both through a resonance charge transfer and a second diffusional process; the two oxidizing species are respectively CCl4+√ and (CCl+3Cl)solv through the mediation of a singlet excited state, 12T*.  相似文献

The high-resolution infrared absorption spectrum of an equilibrium mixture of HCN and HCl in a static gas long-path absorption cell is recorded in the 2500–2900 cm−1 spectral region at 205 K. The spectrum shows rovibrational structure which has the typical appearance of a parallel band of a linear molecule and is assigned to the intramolecular H–Cl stretching vibration band ν2 of the linear HCN–H35Cl heterodimer. The rovibrational analysis of the band yield a band origin ν0 of 2779.0968(12) cm−1 together with a value for the upper-state rotational constant B′ of 0.067722(2) cm−1. The observed red shift of 107 cm−1 for the ν2 band of HCN–H35Cl relative to the H–Cl stretching vibration band of monomer H35Cl is in excellent agreement with results from the MP2/6−311++G** level of theory. The value of the upper-state rotational constant shows that the intermolecular hydrogen bond shortens by 0.022 Å upon intramolecular vibrational excitation of the ν2 mode.  相似文献

A hollow cathode combined with a corona excited supersonic expansion has proven to be an efficient method of producing a stable discharge in a N2/Ar gas mixture. A high-resolution and rotationally cold absorption spectrum of the well-known (2,0) and (8,7) bands of the B3Πg ← A3Σu+ first positive system of N2 was recorded. It illustrates the sensitivity of the laser optogalvanic detection technique coupled to such an apparatus. A significant reduction of the linewidth and an enhancement of the signal-to-noise ratio were obtained. A high variational excitation process has been observed and is discussed.  相似文献
