采用Conventional infiguration(简写为CI)方法计算了类氦Ar16+离子高双激发Intershell(n>N)共振态的辐射和Auger跃迁率,并利用超球坐标方法和新量子数n(K,T)NA2s+1Lπ来作系统分析。计算结果表明,对A=+1态,Auger过程是主要的,辐射过程仅仅是对给定的多重簇(manifold)中更高的态才有意义。对A=0,-1态,Auger宽度更小。对这些 关键词:  相似文献

Properties of the interatomic Coulombic decay (ICD) process in Ne dimers have been obtained by tracking the formation of energetic Ne+ ions. The double photoionization cross section, deduced from the Ne+/Ne+ coincidence signal, is dominated by the ICD process and presents a threshold 280 meV below the atomic Ne+2s(-1) threshold. Rydberg excitation of a 2s electron in the dimer creates molecular Rydberg states whose Sigma and Pi symmetries have been resolved. These excited states decay by a resonant ICD process releasing an energetic Ne+ ion and a neutral excited Ne* fragment. Subsequent autoionization of the Ne* fragment explains a double photoionization threshold below the dimer 2s ionization threshold.  相似文献

The temperature-dependent decay dynamics of innershell holes in CsBr was measured by using high harmonics. The measured lifetime was as short as 1.5 ps at 340 K due to increasing the Auger-allowed final state density in the Urbach exciton tail, whereas it is 1.1 ns at 10 K, determined by radiative recombination. The temperature-dependent Auger lifetime extrapolated to a high temperature corresponds to the fully energy-allowed Auger decay. In the model to be presented, this yields an interatomic Auger decay lifetime of 2.4+3.8/-1.5 fs, in line with a theoretical calculation for NaF.  相似文献

We present an experimental and theoretical study of triply charged hydrogen bromide ions formed by photoionization of the inner 3d shell of Br. The experimental results, obtained by detecting the 3d photoelectron in coincidence with the two subsequent Auger electrons, are analyzed using calculated potential energy curves of HBr3+. The competition between the short-range chemical binding potential and the Coulomb repulsion in the dissociative process is shown. Two different mechanisms are observed for double Auger decay: one, a direct process with simultaneous ejection of two Auger electrons to final HBr3+ ionic states and the other, a cascade process involving double Auger decay characterized by the autoionization of Br*+ ion subsequent to the HBr2+ fragmentation.  相似文献

We demonstrate that the observation of slow electrons emitted in the decay of molecular core-excited states can be a sensitive probe of the double Auger processes, and that in combination with electron-electron coincidence spectroscopy, it can provide clear insight into the mechanisms involved. The present study identifies all cascade Auger paths from the C1s-to-Rydberg states in CO to final states of CO2+. One pathway includes the first directly identified case of molecular level-to-level autoionization of a cation and shows remarkable selectivity for a specific final state.  相似文献

The photo-excitation and Auger decay processes of inner-shell double vacancy states 1s2s2p^6(1,3^S)3s3p of neutral neon atoms have been studied theoretically. Multi-configuration Dirac-Fock (MCDF) calculations have been carried out, with electron correlation effects taken into consideration. The relaxation of core and excited orbitals and configuration interaction are found to be crucial to creating the double vacancy states by single photo-absorption. The predominant decay paths for the double vacancy states turn out to be of the LLM Auger decay to 1s 2s^22p^53s(3p), KLL Auger decay to 1s^22s2p^43s3p, and KLM Auger decay to 1s^22p^63s(3p). They lead to further Auger decay, creating the neon ions of multiple charge states. For both double and single vacancy states the spectator type of Auger process is dominated in all the Auger decay processes. Theoretical Anger electron spectra are presented for further investigations, experimental and theoretical.  相似文献

The KVV radiative Auger region in the K X-ray emission spectrum of silicon in metallic powder form has been ionometrically recorded and compared with the expected spectrum calculated by using the measured L2,3VV Auger spectrum available in the literature. The positive parity scalar D*s0(2317) and axial-vector D*s1(2460) charmed strange mesons are generated by coupled-channel dynamics through the s-wave scattering of Goldstone bosons off the pseudoscalar and vector D(Ds)-meson ground states. The specific masses of these states are obtained as a consequence of the attraction arising from the Weinberg-Tomozawa interaction in the chiral Lagrangian. Chiral corrections to order Q2χ are calculated and found to be small. The D*s0(2317) and D*s1(2460) mesons decay either strongly into the isospin-violating π0Ds and π0D*s channels or electromagnetically. We show that the π0-η and (K0D+-K+D0) mixings act constructively to generate strong widths of the order of 140 keV and emphasize the sensitivity of this value to the KD component of the states. The one-loop contribution to the radiative decay amplitudes of scalar and axial-vector states is calculated using the electromagnetic Lagrangian to chiral order Q2χ. We show the importance of taking into account processes involving light vector mesons explicitly in the dynamics of electromagnetic decays. The radiative width are sensitive to both η Ds and KD components, hence providing information complementary to the strong widths on the positive parity Ds-meson structure.  相似文献

The nonlinear absorption mechanisms of neon atoms to intense, femtosecond kilovolt x rays are investigated. The production of Ne(9+) is observed at x-ray frequencies below the Ne(8+), 1s(2) absorption edge and demonstrates a clear quadratic dependence on fluence. Theoretical analysis shows that the production is a combination of the two-photon ionization of Ne(8+) ground state and a high-order sequential process involving single-photon production and ionization of transient excited states on a time scale faster than the Auger decay. We find that the nonlinear direct two-photon ionization cross section is orders of magnitude higher than expected from previous calculations.  相似文献

Two Auger electrons, one very slow, one fast, have been detected in coincidence following near threshold 4d photoionization of the Xe atom. The distribution in the energy the two electrons share has been measured for the first time revealing the presence of post-collision interaction effects that provide unique information on the decay dynamics of the 4d hole. Analysis of the distorted line shapes indicates that the dominant process is decay of Xe+(4d(-1)) to Xe3+ through cascade emission of a zero kinetic energy Auger electron followed by a fast Auger electron. The widths of the intermediate Xe2+* states are estimated to be about 60 meV.  相似文献

We report results of measurements and of Hartree-Fock level calculations of molecular-frame photoelectron angular distributions (MFPADs) for C 1s photoemission from CO2. The agreement between the measured and calculated MFPADs is on average reasonable. The measured MFPADs display a weak but definite asymmetry with respect to the O+ and CO+ fragment ions at certain energies, providing evidence for an overlap of gerade and ungerade final ionic states giving rise to a partial breakdown of the two-step model of core-level photoionization and its subsequent Auger decay.  相似文献

Two-color (x-ray+infrared) electron spectroscopy is used for investigating laser-assisted KLL Auger decay following 1s photoionization of atomic Ne with few-femtosecond x-ray pulses from the Linac Coherent Light Source. In an angle-resolved experiment, the overall width of the laser-modified Auger-electron spectrum and its structure change significantly as a function of the emission angle. The spectra are characterized by a strong intensity variation of the sidebands revealing a gross structure. This variation is caused, as predicted by theory, by the interference of electrons emitted at different times within the duration of one optical cycle of the infrared dressing laser, which almost coincides with the lifetime of the Ne 1s vacancy.  相似文献

We report energy distributions of electrons emitted from Al surfaces under impact by 1 keV Ar+ and 1-5 keV Ne+ ions. The variation of the energy distributions with the angle of incidence is different for both ions and provides information on the mechanism responsible for electron emission. For Ar+ electron emission results mainly from Auger neutralization, while for Ne+ an important emission mechanism is the decay of plasmon excitations. We find a transition between surface and bulk plasmon excitations as the energy of the ion is increased.  相似文献

Two-proton decay from (18)Ne excited states has been studied by complete kinematical reconstruction of the decay products. The (18)Ne nucleus has been produced as a radioactive beam by (20)Ne primary projectile fragmentation at 45 AMeV incident energy on a Be target. The (18)Ne at 33 AMeV incident energy has been excited via Coulomb excitation on a (nat)Pb target. The obtained results unambiguously show that the 6.15 MeV (18)Ne state two-proton decay proceeds through a (2)He diproton resonance (31%) and democratic or virtual sequential decay (69%). The quoted branching ratio has been deduced from relative angle and momentum correlations of the emitted proton pairs.  相似文献
