Respectively, 41 and 36 new cw far-infrared lasing lines have been observed using a waveguide resonator in CH3OD and CD3OD pumped by a low-pressure CO2 laser emitting in the 9.4, 10.4 m regular bands and in the 10.8 m hot band. The wavelength range was 46.6 m–1.67 mm in CH3OD and 53.6 m–1 mm in CD3OD.  相似文献

The possibility to fabricate high-mobility polysilicon TFTs by nanosecond pulsed laser crystallization of unhydrogenated amorphous Si thin films has been investigated. Two types of lasers have been used: a large area ( 1 cm2) single ArF excimer laser pulse and a small diameter ( 100 m) frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser beam, working in the scanning regime. Processed films have been characterized in detail by different optical and microscopic techniques. Device performances indicate that the best results are achieved with the excimer laser leading to high mobility values (up to 140 cm2/Vs) which are much larger than in polysilicon TFTs fabricated onto the same quartz substrates by low-temperature thermal (630° C) crystallization of amorphous Si films (fe55 cm2/Vs).  相似文献

Piezoelectric gallium orthophosphate (GaPO4) thickness – shear mode resonators were patterned by F2-laser ablation and employed for gas sensing. The thickness of GaPO4 crystals was reduced from 215 m to 115 m by laser ablation and the piezoelectric fundamental resonance frequency in the thinned region increased thereby from 6 MHz to 12 MHz. The Q values of laser-thinned and pristine resonators in air were Q7000 and Q95000, respectively. The GaPO4 crystals were coated by thin polyimide layers that served as receptor for water vapour. The resonance frequency of coated crystals decreased linearly with increasing level of relative humidity (RH) and the sensitivity for laser-patterned 12 MHz GaPO4 resonators, SRH-98 Hz/%RH, was much larger than for the pristine 6 MHz GaPO4 resonators. We investigate the generation of superradiant far-infrared 496 m CH3F pulses and produce for the first time smooth and reproducible 373 m CH3CN superradiant pulses by pumping with pulses from a hybrid 10 m CO2 laser truncated within 10 ps by a plasma shutter of new design. Superradiance is confirmed by measurement of the pressure dependence of the intensity, the width and the delay versus the pump pulse. We observe pulse durations considerably under the limit of the inverse linewidth of the transition. Thus, we demonstrate for the first time that rapid truncation of the pump pulse is essential for reducing pulse duration of superradiant far-infrared emissions.  相似文献

It is shown that heat pulses, generated by current pulses in thin metal films, may be a powerful tool in the investigation of energy transfer dynamics in solids. Application to ruby shows clearly that the energy transfer from the single ions to the pairs is limited by the energy diffusion in the single ion system contrary to prior ideas. Optical coatings are designed and produced for the multichannel scanning radiometer meteorological space instrument operating in the spectral range 6.37.6m. First the choice of substrates and layers materials is discussed. Then the substrate temperatures dependent effects of three different Te-enriched PbTe single layers on the dispersion and absorption characteristics and carrier concentration are studied. The experimental results demonstrate that the performance of the coating made using PbTe + 0.3 at. % Te material is better than that of the others. Finally, details of the spectral design and manufacture of such a filter which meets the demanding bandwidth and transparency requirements of the application are presented. This design model is based on the optical and semiconductor properties of a multilayer filter containing PbTe layer materials in combination with the dielectric dispersion of ZnSe deposited on the a Ge substrate. Comparisons between the computed spectral performance of the model and spectral measurements from manufactured coatings over a wavelength range of 6.37.6m are presented.  相似文献

This paper describes a scalable small-signal equivalent circuit for 0.25 m gatelength Double Heterojunction delta-doped PHEMTs. The scaling rules for all elements except the pad capacitances and bondwire inductances have been determined. Good agreement is obtained between simulation results and measured results for 2 times 20 m , 2 times 40 m, 2 times 60 m, 2 times 100 m gate width (number of gate fingers times unit gate width) DH PHEMT.  相似文献

Up to sixQ-switch pulses with interpulse separations of between 2 and 100 s are extracted during single flashlamp pulses of a Nd:YAG laser (1.06 m) by opening the Pockels cell in up to six stages. The interpulse separations and output energies are adjustable for the individual pulses of the 10 Hz repetitive laser bursts. Measurements of maximum fiber transmission and stimulated backscattering are reported for 1 mm diam fused-silica step-index fibers.  相似文献

The absorption of laser light in 0.25–1 mm diameter gold cavities, irradiated for the purpose of generating high-temperature blackbody radiation with intense laser radiation of either =0.44 m or =1.3 m wavelength, was investigated. For =0.44 m radiation the absorption exceeded 0.9 for all conditions, but dropped to only 0.3 for the smallest cavities irradiated at =1.3 m. Entrance hole and cavity filling with plasma seems important for the understanding of the observations.  相似文献

A femtosecond pulse laser in the visible spectral region shows promise as a potentially new powerful corneal sculpting tool. It combines the clinical and technical advantages of visible wavelengths with the high ablation quality observed with nanosecond-pulse excimer lasers at 193 nm. A femtosecond and a nanosecond dye laser with pulse durations of 300 fs and 7 ns, and centre wavelengths at 615 nm and 600 nm, respectively, both focused to an area of the order of 10–5 cm2, have been applied to human corneal ablation. Nanosecond laser pulses caused substantial tissue disruption within a 30–100 m range from the excision edge at all fluences above the ablation threshold of F th60 J cm–2 (I th9 GW cm–2). Completely different excisions are produced by the femtosecond-pulse laser: high quality ablations of the Bowman membrane and the stroma tissue characterised by damage zones of less than 0.5 m were observed at all fluences above ablation threshold of F th1 J cm–2 or I th3 TW cm–2 (3×1012 W cm–2). The transparent cornea material can be forced to absorb ultrashort pulses of extremely high intensity. The fs laser generates its own absorption by a multiphoton absorption process.  相似文献

Intense far-infrared laser action is reported for carbonyl fluoride and vinyl fluoride. Eleven new lines with wavelengths between 339 m538 m were obtained by optically pumping carbonyl fluoride with numerous lines of the 10.4 m band of a cw CO2 laser. Twenty-three lines with wavelengths in the range 172 m783 m were detected when pumping the recently discovered efficient FIR laser molecule vinyl fluoride. In addition, three very weak new lines were found using 1.1-difluoroethylen.  相似文献

The optically pumped FIR laser lines at 119 m from CH3OH and at 127 m from13CD3OH are known to be the most powerful in the far infrared spectral region. We report on efficiency measurements for our waveguide laser system. The effect of various parameters was investigated, resulting in the highest efficiency ever reported for the 119 m line. The Stark effect and others parameters of the 127 m were measured, and a new13CD3OH laser line at 175 m discovered, with the same pump transition. These measurements are helpful for completing the assignment already proposed for the 127 m line.  相似文献

Niobium films on sapphire were reacted in tin-vapour to Nb3Sn with resistance ratiosR(297 K)/R(18.3 K) up to 6 and resistively measured superconducting transition temperaturesT c up to 17.93 K. The composition Nb3+z Sn1–z H x of electrolytically hydrogenated samples was determined depth dependent by Rutherford backscattering of 30 MeV32S and simultaneous detection of recoiled protons. Considerable concentration gradients in the thin layers (0.27 m) were detected. The increase of resistivity with hydrogen content and the change in the temperature dependence of is analyzed. A correlation betweenT c and 0= is found: An increase of T c =0.2 K at 025cm andx0.03 is followed by a drastic decrease toT c <1.1 K at 080cm andx1. TheT c vs. 0 andT c vs. (T) characteristic correlations are different from universal irradiation or preparation induced correlations. The discrepancies can be interpreted by a stiffening of phonon modes and a band-shifting caused by the hydrogen.  相似文献

High-resistance (dark 108 · cm) photosensitive CdS samples (light 102–103 · cm at saturation) were obtained from low-resistance ( 0.1 · cm) nonphotosensitive CdS single crystals by thermal diffusion of Cu, Ag, and In in vacuum at 2 · 10–5 torr. The spectral response of impurity and pure high-resistance photosensitive single-crystal CdS samples was studied in the wavelength range from 0.35 to 3. The short-wave and long-wave limits of the spectral curves, the wavelength range of maximum photoconductivity and the forbidden band width, the depth of impurity levels, the upper edge of the impurity band, and the depth of maximum-density activation centers have been determined from the spectral curves. The Shockley surface states problem was formulated for the Coulson graphite model and Hoerni diamond model with delta function potentials. It was shown that the solution of these problems can be reduced to the solution of analogous problems in the MO-LCAO method. A solution is given for one type of models. The analogy of both methods shows that the qualitative properties of Shockley surface states depend primarily on the geometry of the lattices.

The major reasons for the low photovoltaic efficiency of Cu2S/CdS cells, in which the CdS film is deposited by spraying, are due to small film thicknesses which do not exceed 4 m and the small average grain size which ranges from 0.1 to 0.5 m.A new experimental solution spraying procedure is described that prevents both restrictions by controlling the substrate temperature. The multiplicities a of simple modules L in the composition series of Kac modules V lambda for the Lie superalgebra (m/n ) were described by Serganova, leading to her solution of the character problem for (m/n ). In Serganova's algorithm all with nonzero a are determined for a given this algorithm, turns out to be rather complicated. In this Letter, a simple rule is conjectured to find all nonzero a for any given weight . In particular, we claim that for an r-fold atypical weight there are 2r distinct weights such that a = 1, and a = 0 for all other weights . Some related properties on the multiplicities a are proved, and arguments in favour of our main conjecture are given. Finally, an extension of the conjecture describing the inverse of the matrix of Kazhdan–Lusztig polynomials is discussed.  相似文献
