Ultracold polar molecules in multilayered systems have been experimentally realized very recently. While experiments study these systems almost exclusively through their chemical reactivity, the outlook for creating and manipulating exotic few- and many-body physics in dipolar systems is fascinating. Here we concentrate on few-body states in a multilayered setup. We exploit the geometry of the interlayer potential to calculate the two- and three-body chains with one molecule in each layer. The focus is on dipoles that are aligned at some angle with respect to the layer planes by means of an external electric field. The binding energy and the spatial structure of the bound states are studied in several different ways using analytical approaches. The results are compared to stochastic variational calculations and very good agreement is found. We conclude that approximations based on harmonic oscillator potentials are accurate even for tilted dipoles when the geometry of the potential landscape is taken into account.  相似文献

A method is presented for predicting the performance of multilayered piezoelectric structures which demonstrate two, loosely coupled compressional modes of vibration. A linear systems, lattice approach is developed using a matrix formulation for implementation of the transducer transfer functions in the frequency domain. The technique is computationally efficient, providing good results over a key range of transducer dimensions and is especially useful for the practical evaluation of multilayered, linear or diced array structures.  相似文献

Thin CoO oxide layers with superior properties in terms of crystallographic ordering, surface roughness and constant and controlled chemical compositions have been prepared by pulsed laser deposition in reactive O2 atmosphere at 400 °C. Such systems are particularly suitable both for applications and for basic studies, any time high quality and controlled surfaces are required, for example in multilayered systems whose behaviour critically depends on interface properties, such as magnetically exchange-coupled systems. A structural and microstructural study of such films is presented, together with the compositional analysis for different process conditions. The best control on film stoichiometry was obtained by protecting the surface with a thin Pt cap-layer, before air exposure.  相似文献

The comparative analysis of optical properties of aperiodic multilayered systems with equal optical and geometrical thickness of layers has been carried out. The data on the dielectric structures constructed with use of the silver mean principle are represented in more detail. It is established that there is a general quantitative law determining interrelation of scaling in their Fourier spaces and spectral characteristics. It is shown that high sensitivity of aperiodic structures with the same thickness of layers to small changes of refraction indices and the angle of radiation incidence can be of practically using.  相似文献

Combined with the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), a mathematical hybrid method for accurately computing the lightning response from grounding systems buried in multilayered earth model has been developed in this paper. In the method, electrical circuit consists of “T” typical of basic elements. To accelerate calculations of the method, quasi-static complex image method and closed form of Green's function and analytical formula for mutual induction and impedance coefficients were introduced into this method. With the inverse FFT, the method can be used for studying performances of transient lightning response from the grounding systems.  相似文献

Refined vibration and damping analysis of a general multilayered rectangular plate consisting of an arbitrary number of layers of orthotropic materials has been developed by considering extension, bending, in-plane shear and transverse shear deformations in all the layers and taking into account the rotary and longitudinal translatory inertias along with the transverse inertia of the plate. The solution for a multilayered plate with simply supported edges has been taken in series summation form and resonating frequencies and associated loss factors for plates with alternate elastic and viscoelastic layers have been evaluated by application of the correspondence principle of linear viscoelasticity. Results for three-, five- and seven-layered plates obtained by the present refined analysis are compared with the results obtained by conventional analysis of multilayered plates.  相似文献

The mode I edge delamination could be initiated due to the presence of the interfacial peeling stresses near the edges of the multilayered systems due to the material mismatches between the adjacent layers. However, the exact peeling stress distributions could not be obtained by using the existing analytical and numerical models. It was proposed recently that the peeling moment resulting from the localized peeling stresses could be used to characterize mode I edge delamination. In this paper, the effect of the graded interlayer on the mode I edge delamination by thermal residual stresses in multilayer coating-based systems was investigated. Following the previous analysis approaches, the exact closed-form solutions for the peeling moments at individual interfaces and the curvatures for bilayer system, typical thermal barrier coating (TBC) system and TBC-based system with a graded interlayer inserted between the metallic layer and the ceramic layer were, respectively, derived. Case studies showed that the edge delamination by thermal stress could be impeded by properly selecting the coating materials and individual layer thicknesses. These studies may provide some important insights for developing fail-safe designing methodologies for multilayered systems.  相似文献

The luminescence of spherical multilayered systems with a stationary radiation field in a continuum is considered. The formal solution of the transport equation is shown to be equivalent to the solution of the Cauchy problem for the set of characteristic functions. We have theoretically shown that the yield of diffuse radiation generated by relativistic electrons passing random multilayered systems can be increased when a resonant condition is met. The resonant condition can be satisfied for the wavelength region representing visible light as well as soft X rays. The intensity of diffusive soft X rays for specific multilayered systems consisting of two components is compared with the intensity of Cherenkov radiation. For radiation at a photon energy of 99.4 eV, the intensity of resonant diffusive radiation (RDR) generated by 5-MeV electrons passing a Be/Si multilayer exceeds the intensity of Cherenkov radiation by a factor of ≈60 for electrons with the same energy passing a Si foil. For a photon energy of 453 eV and 13 MeV, electrons passing a Be/Ti multilayer generate RDR exceeding the Cherenkov radiation generated by electrons passing Ti foils by a factor ≈130.  相似文献

The domain structures of multilayered films consisting of mutually parallel single crystal (001) Fe layers and an LiF intermediate layer were studied by Lorentz microscopy. Magnetic flux transitions from layer to layer and formation of extraordinary domain walls were observed in systems with magnetic layers approximately equal in thickness. To gain fundamental insight into the relationship between length scales and mechanical behaviour, Ni-Fe multilayered materials with a 5-μm-layer thickness and a modulated grain size distribution have been synthesized by pulsed electrodeposition. Microstructural studies by SEM and TEM reveal the alternating growth of well-defined layers with either nano (d = 16 nm) or coarse grains (d ≥ 500 nm). Room temperature tensile tests have been performed to investigate the mechanical response and understand the underlying deformation mechanisms. Tensile test results and fractographic studies demonstrate that the overall room temperature mechanical behaviour of the multilayered material, i.e. strength and ductility, is governed primarily by the layers containing nanocrystalline grains. The measured properties have been discussed in the context of modulated grain structure of the multilayered sample and contribution of each grain size regime to the overall strength and ductility.  相似文献

In the present communication, we study omni-directional reflection in one-dimensional photonic crystal (PC) based on Si/SiO2 multilayered structure. 采用溶胶凝胶法,在PtTiSiO2Si衬底上逐层制备了BaTiO3SrTiO3多层膜.从多层膜的XRD图可看出明显的双峰,分别对应为BaTiO3和SrTiO3的特征峰,表明样品已形成了多层膜结构.与同厚度的Ba05Sr05TiO3单层膜比较,BaTiO3SrTiO3多层膜的介电系数得到了明显的增强,在频率为10kHz时,周期为66nm的BaTiO3SrTiO3多层膜相对于同厚度的Ba05Sr05TiO3薄膜的介电系数从245增强到595,而损耗依然保持较低,分别为0029和0033.研究同时表明,BaTi 关键词: 溶胶-凝胶法 多层膜 介电增强  相似文献

A multilayered scattering structure is proposed and demonstrated as a reference mirror for use with full field optical coherence tomography (FF-OCT) to increase contrast of tissue imaging and provide compensation. Common-path FF-OCT systems were built demonstrating high resolution cell profiling. The use of this mirror with frequency domain FF-OCT allows 3D images in real time.  相似文献

New computer modelling of light scattering and its propagation through liquid crystal has been presented using T-matrix method in the structural phase transition regions. Numerical aspects of light scattering process, which are based on numerically solving Maxwell's equations, were calculated for some nematic liquid crystals. Firstly, we described in detail T-matrix method for computing light scattering from nematic liquid crystals and presented results of benchmark computations for the considered model. We reported results of extensive calculations for polydisperse, randomly oriented rod-like multilayered systems (nematic liquid crystals). Our results are associated with light scattering by ferroelectric and ferroelastic materials.  相似文献

A rigorous and simple method of analyzing scattering and absorbing characteristics of multilayered gratings embedded in a dielectric slab has been proposed. The method combines a generalized scattering matrix with a lattice sums matrix and a T-matrix of an isolated single cylinder instead of the aggregate T-matrix. The validity of the present method has been confirmed by several numerical experiments and comparisons with other published results. Elastic waves excited by a plane piezoelectric source with an arbitrary shape on the surface of a multilayered medium have been studied for the first time in this paper. On the basis of Abzo-zena [Geophys. J. R. Astron. Soc. 58, 91-105 (1979)] and Menke [Geophys. J. R. Astron. Soc. 59, 315-323 (1979)], the propagator matrix for the elastic wave field in multilayered medium is extended from two- to three-dimensional (3D) space. 3D elastic wave field is investigated and the displacement-stress response for the boundary conditions is obtained. The propagation of elastic wave in multilayered media is analyzed in 3D space in the frequency domain. The P-SV and SH modes corresponding to the poles are studied. The excitation and propagation of the modes are analyzed further. It is found that the propagation velocities of the P-SV and SH modes do not depend on the propagation azimuth theta in the plane parallel to the free surface of the multilayered medium while the displacement amplitudes are strongly dependent on the azimuth theta. The directional distribution functions of the modes are independent of the medium parameters and the modes and dependent on the shape and excitation fashion of the source. Finally, as an example, the displacement fields of the P-SV and SH modes excited by a rectangle source are analyzed. The displacement representation and numerical results of the directivity distribution functions for the P-SV and SH modes are obtained.  相似文献

A mechanism is proposed for manipulating the magnetic state of a helical spin density wave using a current. It is shown that a current through a bulk metal with a helical spin density wave induces a spin transfer torque, which gives rise to a rotation of the order parameter. The use of spin transfer torque to manipulate the magnetization in bulk systems does not suffer from the obstacles seen for magnetization reversal using interface spin transfer torque in multilayered systems. The effect is demonstrated by a quantitative calculation of the current induced magnetization dynamics of a rare earth metal, Er. Finally, we propose a setup for experimental verification.  相似文献
