We describe the output performances of the 1030 nm transition in Yb:YAG under in-band pumping with diode laser at the 968 nm wavelength. An end-pumped Yb:YAG crystal yielded 1.93 W of continuous-wave (CW) output power for 9.1 W of absorbed pump power. The slope efficiency with respect to the absorbed pump power was 23.6%. Furthermore, 205 mW 515 nm green light was acquired by frequency doubling, resulting in an optical-to-optical efficiency with respect to the absorbed pump power of 2.7%. Comparative results obtained for the pump with diode laser at 940 nm are given in order to prove the advantages of the in-band pumping.  相似文献

We report a green laser at 544 nm generation by intracavity frequency doubling of a continuous wave (CW) laser operation of a 1088 nm Yb:GSO laser under in-band diode pumping at 940 nm. An LiB3O5 (LBO) crystal, cut for critical type I phase matching at room temperature is used for second harmonic generation of the laser. At an incident pump power of 17.8 W, as high as 444 mW of CW output power at 544 nm is achieved. The fluctuation of the green output power was better than 4.6% in the given 4 h.  相似文献

We describe the output performance of the 1415 nm emission in Nd:YAG in a plane-concave cavity under traditional pumping into the 4F5/2 level (808 nm) and direct in-band pumping into the 4F3/2 level (885 nm). An end-pumped Nd:YAG laser yielded maximum cw output power of 6.3 W and 4.2 W at 885 nm and 808 nm laser diode (LD) pumping, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest output power of a LD-pumped 1415 nm laser.  相似文献

We present for the first time a Nd:YAG laser emitting at 1319 nm intracavity pumped by a 946 nm diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser. A 809 nm laser diode is used to pump the first Nd:YAG crystal emitting at 946 nm, and the second Nd:YAG laser emitting at 1319 nm intracavity pumped at 946 nm. Intracavity sumfrequency mixing at 946 and 1319 nm was then realized in a LBO crystal to reach the yellow range. We obtained a continuous-wave output power of 158 mW at 551 nm with a pump laser diode emitting 18.7 W at 809 nm.  相似文献

An LBO crystal, cut for critical type I phase matching is used for second harmonic generation of the laser. At an incident pump power of 8.9 W, as high as 347 mW of CW output power at 670.5 nm is achieved. The fluctuation of the red output power was better than 3.7% in the given 30 min, and the beam quality factor M 2 is 1.65.  相似文献

We report an efficient continuous-wave self-Raman laser at 1176 nm based on a 20-mm-long composite YVO_4/Nd:YVO_4/YVO_4 crystal and pumped by a wavelength-locked 878.9 nm diode laser.A maximum output power of 5.3 W is achieved at a pump power of 26 W,corresponding to an optical conversion efficiency of 20%and a slope efficiency of 21%.The Raman threshold for the diode pump power was only 0.92 W.The results reveal that in-band pumping by a wavelength-locked diode laser significantly enhances output power and efficiency of self-Raman lasers by virtue of improved pump absorption and relieved thermal loading.  相似文献

We report for the first time a continuous-wave (CW) green laser emission by sum-frequency mixing in Yb:YAG crystal. Using type-I critical phase-matching LBO crystal, a green laser at 520 nm is obtained by 1030 and 1048 nm intracavity sum-frequency mixing. The maximum laser output power of 269 mW is obtained when an incident pump laser of 17.8 W is used. At the output power level of 269 mW, the output stability is better than 3.2%.  相似文献

An all-solid-state single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) laser at 500.8 nm with 830 mW output power has been demonstrated for the first time. By using a new resonator for doubly resonant, Nd:GdVO4 and Nd:YAG were pumped by two laser diode arrays coupled by optical fiber, respectively. In the two sub-cavities, SLM wavelengths of 1064 and 946 nm were induced by using the twisted-mode technique and then mixed into SLM 500.8 nm laser with sum-frequency technology. The SLM 500.8 nm laser output of 830 mW was obtained at the incident pump power of 20 W for Nd:GdVO4 and 23 W for Nd:YAG. The experimental results showed that the intracavity sum-frequency mixing by twisted-mode technique is an effective method for SLM 500.8 nm laser.  相似文献

We report on high-power operation of a fiber distributed-feedback (DFB) laser fabricated from Tm-doped photosensitive alumino-silicate fiber and in-band pumped by an Er/Yb fiber laser at 1565 nm. The fiber DFB laser yielded up to 875 mW of single-ended output at 1943 nm on two orthogonally polarized modes for 3.5 W of absorbed pump power. Further scaling of the DFB laser output power was achieved with the aid of a simple Tm-doped fiber amplifier stage spliced directly to the DFB fiber without the need of an optical isolator. The maximum output power from the DFB laser and fiber amplifier was >3 W for a combined absorbed pump power of 8.1 W. The influence of thermal loading, owing to quantum defect heating in the Tm-doped core, on the output power and longitudinal mode behavior is discussed, and the prospects for further improvement in performance are considered.  相似文献

At an incident pump power of 18.5 W, as high as 2.31 W of CW output power at 555 nm is achieved. The optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is up to 12.4%, and the fluctuation of the yellow-green output power was better than 2.8% in the given 4 h.  相似文献

We present for the first time a Nd:YAG laser emitting at 1064 nm intracavity pumped by a 946 nm diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser. A 885 nm laser diode is used to pump the first Nd:YAG crystal emitting at 946 nm, and the second Nd:YAG laser emitting at 1064 nm intracavity pumped at 946 nm. We achieved an output power of 7.97 W at 1064 nm for an absorbed pump power at 946 nm of 9.55 W, corresponding to an optical efficiency of 83.4%. The beam quality M2 quality factor is about 1.1 at the maximum output power.  相似文献

An efficient 1064-nm Nd:YVO_4laser in-band pumped by a wavelength-locked laser diode(LD) at 913.9 nm was demonstrated. The maximum continuous wave(CW) output power of 23.4 W at 1064 nm was realized with the incident pump power of 40 W, corresponding to a total optical-to-optical efficiency of 58.5%. This is to the best of our knowledge the highest total optical-to-optical efficiency and output power of Nd:YVO_4laser in-band pumped by a 913.9-nm laser diode. The Q-switched operation of this laser was also investigated. Through a contrast experiment of pumping at 808 nm, the experimental results showed that an Nd:YVO_4laser in-band pumped by a wavelength-locked LD at 913.9 nm had excellent pulse stability and beam quality for high repetition rate Q-switching operation.  相似文献

We describe the output performances of the 1116 nm 4 F 3/2-4 I 11/2 transition (generally used for a 1064 nm transition) in Nd:YAG under in-band pumping with diode laser at the 809 nm wavelength. An end-pumped Nd:YAG crystal yielded 680 mW of continuous-wave (CW) output power for 18.2 W of incident pump power. Moreover, intracavity second-harmonic generation (SHG) has also been achieved with a power of 97 mW at 558 nm by using a LiB3O5 (LBO) nonlinear crystal. The yellow-green beam quality factor M 2 was less than 1.21. The yellow-green power stability was less 2.5% in 4 h.  相似文献

We report for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, a Yb:YAG laser operating in a CW on the three-level laser at 968 nm, based on the 2 F 5/2-2 F 7/2 transition, generally used for a 1030 nm emission. The use of a pump module with 16 passes through the crystal allowed the realization of a Yb:YAG thin-disk laser with 507 mW of continuous wave (CW) output power at 968 nm. Moreover, intracavity second-harmonic generation (SHG) has also been achieved with a power of 58 mW at 484 nm by using a BiB3O6 (BIBO) non-linear crystal.  相似文献
