Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes of barbital, thiouracil, adenine, amino acids (methionine, lysine and alanine) and some mixed ligands were prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility and ESR spectra. Coordination of the metallic centre to the oxygen and nitrogen atoms of barbital, thiouracil, amino acids and coordinate to amino group and nitrogen atom of adenine occurred. Electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements were utilized to infer the structure of the complexes which are octahedral for Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II) and tetrahedral for Mn(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) complexes. ESR spectra were observed for copper complexes with a d(x2)-(y2) ground state with small g(||) values indicating strong interaction between the ligands and their metal ions.  相似文献

This article reports synthesis of Co(II), Ni(II), Mn(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) complexes with a new macrocyclic ligand 1,4,11,14-tetraazacyclonanodeca-5,10-dioxo-1,14-diene (H2L). The ligand (L1) was prepared by reaction of adipic acid and ethylenediamine in 1 : 2 ratio while the macrocycle was derived from 1,4-bis-(2′-amino-ethanamide)butane and glutaraldehyde. The synthesized complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, spectral analyses (1H NMR spectra, FT-IR spectra, electronic spectra, and mass spectra), magnetic susceptibility measurements, and thermogravimetric studies. On the basis of electronic spectral studies and molar conductance measurements, octahedral geometry was confirmed for Ni(II), Mn(II), and Co(II) while tetrahedral for Zn(II) and square planar for Cu(II) complexes. The TGA results revealed that the complexes exhibited higher thermal stability than the macrocycle. All the complexes were screened against bacterial and fungal strains and preliminary antimicrobial results showed that these complexes inhibited bacterial/fungal growth to a greater extent than the ligand.  相似文献

Copper(II), zinc(II), cobalt(II) and cobalt(III) complexes of N-D-glucosamine beta-naphthaldehyde (C17H19O6N, NG) and glycine were synthesized. The four novel metal complexes, Cu(II)C19H28O11N2(CuGNG), Zn(II)C19H24O9N2 (ZnGNG), Co(II)C19H28O11N2(Co(II)GNG) and Co(III)C21H29O12N2(Co(III)GNG) were characterized by means of infrared (IR), electronic absorption spectroscopy and NMR etc. The surface-enhanced Raman spectra of the four complexes and their interaction with DNA were studied. By comparison of the surface-enhanced Raman spectra (SERS), the information of the four complexes' SER active sites and adsorption orientation were obtained. Combined with fluorescence spectra of Ethidium bromide (EthBr) DNA system, we concluded that none of the four complexes intercalate into DNA and that the presence of the glycine ligand lowered the anticancer activity of NG series complexes.  相似文献

New Schiff base complexes of Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) were synthesized by template condensation of quinoxaline-2-carboxaldehyde, L-histidine, and the metal compound, and were characterized by elemental analysis, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, electronic spectra, conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, ESR spectra, and thermal analysis. In all the complexes, the Schiff base coordinates through azomethine nitrogen, quinoxaline nitrogen, and carboxylato oxygen. The physicochemical and spectroscopic measurements reveal square planar geometry for the copper(II) complex, tetrahedral geometry for the manganese(II), cobalt(II), and zinc(II) complexes, and octahedral geometry for the iron(III) and nickel(II) complexes.  相似文献

For the purpose of detection of multimetal components in environment, alteration of the spectrophotometrical metal sensitivity of porphyrin was attempted. Two porphyrin-incorporated polymers were newly synthesized by the free radical copolymerization of protoporphyrin IX disodium salt and vinyl monomers, and their metal sensitivities were examined by measuring the difference absorption spectra. These porphyrin-incorporated polymers showed different metal sensitivities and their sensitivities were altered by change of pH. Three measuring reagents, which were different in the combination of the porphyrin-incorporated polymers and pH, were used for the simultaneous detection of multimetal components in metal ion mixtures. The difference spectra of these reagents showed the separate peaks corresponding to six metal ions, Bi(III), Co(II), Cu(II), Mn(II), Pb(II), and Zn(II). The spectra were acquired reproducibly by using standard normal variate (SNV) transformation. Furthermore, this method was applied to detect multimetal components in water samples such as tap water and industrial effluent.  相似文献

合成并表征了新型水溶性手性Salen 配体(R,R)-N,N’-二{4-[2-(三甲胺基)乙氧基]水杨醛}-1,2-环己二胺二高氯酸盐(L)及金属配合物ML [M=Zn(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Fe(III), Mn(III)]. 讨论了手性配体L及配合物ZnL的电子光谱和圆二色光谱性质, 用UV-Vis光谱滴定和CD光谱滴定法研究了ZnL对手性氨基酸对映异构体的分子识别. 测定了主体ZnL与客体氨基酸轴向配位反应的配位数(n)、缔合常数(K)及热力学函数 测得缔合常数的大小顺序为KPhe>KVal>KThr. 研究发现反应是放热、熵减小的过程. 用凝胶电泳的方法初步研究了此类手性金属配合物在H2O2存在下对DNA的裂解作用.  相似文献

A hydrazone ligand (HL) containing the thiophene moiety has been prepared via condensation of thiophene-2-carbohydrazide with 1,5-dimethyl-3-oxo-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde. The complexes of copper(II), nickel(II), cobalt(II), manganese(II), zinc(II), palladium(II), iron(III), ruthenium(III), uranyl(VI), and titanium(IV) with the ligand were prepared in good yield from the reaction of the ligand with the corresponding metal salts. The ligand and complexes were characterized using infrared, mass spectra, nuclear magnetic resonance, electronic absorption spectra, electron spin resonance, and magnetic moment measurements as well as elemental and thermal analyses. The results showed that the complexes are enolic by nature, whilst the ratio between the metal ion and the ligand depends on the acidity of the metallic ions and their oxidation numbers.  相似文献

Ternary complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) with nitrilotriacetic acid as a primary ligand and glycine as secondary ligand were prepared in slightly acid medium. Their molecular masses were determined by acid-base titration against standard potassium hydroxide solution. Their molecular structures were found to be [M (HNTA)(glyH)(2H2O)]. Thermogravimetric analysis confirmed this structure and that the water present is coordinated to the central metal atom. UV-Vis spectra showed that the complexes have octahedral symmetry. IR spectra suggested the presence of intermolecular hydrogen bonding. This phenomenon was supported by mass spectra. The ionization constants of these complexes, as diprotic acids, were determined.  相似文献

Abstract

The zinc (II), copper (II), nickel (II), cobalt (II), chloromanganese (III), and chloroiron (III) complexes of α, β, γ, δ-tetra-(4-pyridyl)-porphine (4-TPyP) were prepared. The magnetic susceptibilities from near 0° to 90° K and at room temperature were measured for solid Cu(4-TPyp), Ni(4-TPyP), Co-(4-TPyP), ClMn(4-TPyP) · H2 O and ClFe(4-TPyP). The Mössbauer spectra of ClFe(4-TPyP) were obtained at several temperatures. The infrared spectra and d-spacings were obtained for all of the solids. Electronic spectra of the complexes in pyridine and, where possible, in 0.1 N HCl solution were recorded. Evidence of intermolecular interaction was found for Co(4-TPyP), Ni(4-TPyP), and ClFe(4-TPyP).  相似文献

Complexes of copper(II), nickel(II), cobalt(II), and zinc(II) with 2-[2-(6-methylbenzothiazolyl)azo]-5-dimethylaminobenzoic acid have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, vibrational spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, conductance measurements and e.p.r. spectra. Stability constants have been evaluated potentiometrically. Electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements and molecular modeling studies support a distorted square planar geometry around the metal ions. Vibrational spectra indicate the coordination of the azo group, nitrogen of benzothiazole, the carboxylate anion and the acetate ion on complexation with the metal ion. All complexes are found to be monomers. The stability of the complexes follow the order: copper(II) > nickel(II) > cobalt(II) > zinc(II).  相似文献

Mononuclear and binuclear Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of new semicarbazone ligands derived from sulfonamide were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectra. In mononuclear complexes, the semicarbazone behaves as a monoanionic terdentate or neutral terdentate ligand towards the metal ion. However, in binuclear complexes, it behaves as a monoanionic terdentate towards one of the bivalent metal ions and monoanionic bidentate ligand towards the other metal ion in the same complex. Electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements of the solid complexes indicated octahedral geometry around Mn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) and square planar around the Cu(II) ion. These geometries were confirmed by the results obtained from thermal analyses. The antifungus properties of the ligands and their complexes were investigated.  相似文献

The interaction of diglycollic acid ligand with iron(III), cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) salts was investigated potentiometrically and spectrophotometrically. Only 1:1 complexes were formed in solution and solid. The pK's of the ligand and its complexes were computed. The electronic absorption spectra of the complexes depict the octahedral geometry. The visible, spectra of the highly sensitive colorimetric reagent 4-(2-pyridylazo)-resorcinol (I), and of the coloured cpmplexes formed with copper(II), nickel(II), cobalt(II), lead(II), and uranium(VI) were obtained in water and in aqueous dioxan. The structures of these complexes were determined by spectrophotometric methods, and chelation by (I) established as essentially terdentate. Comparison is made with the visible spectra of salicylidene-2-aminopyridine (II), 2-(o-hydroxy-phenyl-imino-methyl)-pyridine (III), and benzeneazoresorcinol (IV), and of the metal complexes of (II) (III) and (IV). The red coloration obtained with 4-(2-pyridylazo)-resorcinol is explained by the presence of a pseudo-phenanthroline system and an o-o'-disubstituted azo system, the active groups in chelation being the pyridine nitrogen atom, the azo nitrogen farthest from the heterocycle, and the o-hydroxyl group.  相似文献

This article describes a simple method developed for the synthesis of symmetrically substituted 1,8,15,22-tetra-phenylpropene-1-imino phthalocyanines (M-PhproImPcs) of cobalt(II), copper(II), nickel(II) and zinc(II) by condensing 1,8,15,22-tetra amino phthalocyanines with cinnamaldehyde. The dark bluish-green colored tetraimino substituted phthalocyanine derivatives were characterized by elemental analysis, electronic spectra, IR spectra, magnetic susceptibility, powder XRD and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) to check the structural integrity and purity. The variations of magnetic moment as a function of field strength indicated the presence of intermolecular co-operative interactions.
