Abstract: | Acylphosphonates are conveniently synthesized from aryl iodides by a palladium‐catalyzed reaction with dialkyl phosphites under an atmospheric pressure of carbon monoxide. The reaction demonstrates the first example of the use of phosphorus nucleophiles in related metal‐catalyzed carbonylation reactions. |
