Relativity stability of quantum gas in a weak magnetic field

Abstract:Based on the analytical expression of relativistic free energy for aweakly interacting Fermi gas in a weak magnetic field, by using themethod of quantum statistics, the stability conditions of the systemat both high and low temperatures are given, and the effects ofmagnetic field and interparticle interactions on the stability ofthe system are analysed. It is shown that at high temperatures, thestability conditions of the system are completely the same, nomatter whether it is the ultrarelativistic case or nonrelativisticcase. At extremely low temperatures, the mechanical stabilityconditions of the system show a similar rule through a comparisonbetween the ultrarelativistic case and nonrelativistic case. At thesame time, thermal stability of a relativistic Bose gas in a weakmagnetic field is discussed, and the influence of the effect ofrelativity on the thermal stability of the system is investigated.
