Atomic coherence control on the entanglement of two atoms in two-photon processes

Abstract:Considering two identical two-level atoms interactingwith a single-mode thermalfield through two-photon processes,this paper studies the atomic coherence control on theentanglement between two two-level atoms,and finds that the entanglement is greatlyenhanced due to the initial atomic coherence. The results showthat the entanglement can be manipulatedby changing the initialparameters of the system, such as the superposition coefficientsand the relative phasesof the initial atomic coherent state and the mean photonnumber of the cavity field.
