Nonchaotic random behaviour in the second order autonomous system

Abstract:Evidence is presented for the nonchaotic random behaviour in asecond-order autonomous deterministic system. This behaviour isdifferent from chaos and strange nonchaotic attractor. Thenonchaotic random behaviour is very sensitive to the initialconditions. Slight difference of the initial conditions willgenerate wholly different phase trajectories. This random behaviourhas a transient random nature and is very similar to thecoin-throwing case in the classical theory of probability. Theexistence of the nonchaotic random behaviour not only can be derivedfrom the theoretical analysis, but also is proved by the results ofthe simulated experiments in this paper.
