摘    要:提出了一种彩色图像的编码方法MC-AoB,该方法将一幅彩色图像分成多个通道分别独立编码.当码流长度有限时,在通道间进行了优化分配,使得各通道的失真度大体相等.在通道内部,采用了块间剪裁算法,用拉格朗日乘子法找到最适合的剪裁点集.对于通道内小波系数的编码,改进了JPEG2000里的算术编码方法,加入了游程编码的思想,在降低编码复杂度的同时保证了较高的压缩比.另外,该算法并行性较高,可以并行执行.模拟实验证明,在码流长度较小的情况下,MC-AoB算法可取得显著的效果。

Abstract:A new colorful image compression algorithm(MC-AoB) is proposed in the paper. The image are converted and partitioned into three channels. The algorithm makes a reasonable bit-allocation bit-allocation for all channels, which aims to balance the distortion of the channels. In each channel, the image is partitioned into many blocks. A optimization method based on rate-distotion curve is proposed to make optimized bit-allocation for these blocks. After wavelet transform, the quatized coefficients is encoded using a improved bit-plane algorithm which based on the arithmetic coding in JPEG2000. The coding algorithm reduces the complexity compared with the arithmetic coding. However, it can also achieve a perfect compression ratio because RLE (Run Length Encoding) algorithm is partly used here. The coding efficiency will speed up if the algorithm runs under parallel circumstances. Some colorful images were applied to the MC-AOB. From the experiment, we can see that the effect of MC-AoB is distinct if the bit rate is small or little higher.
