| Abstract: | The principle and methods for dynamic monitoring land use changes and timely updating the database of land resource using the technology of remote sensing (RS) are discussed. Based on the TM, SPOT image, land use change in Ningbo urban fringe are outlined by using a series of computer-assisted mapping and spatial analysis operations, such as overlying, cartography reclassification etc. The landscape features, spatial extension tendency of Ningbo urban fringe are also summarized. |
