Abstract:RAPD technique was used to study red crucian carp, carp and their F1 hybrid. With 15 primers, 86 bands (33 were Polymorphism) were obtained in carps, 75 bands (24 were polymorphism) in red crucian carps and 92 bands (35 were polymorphism) in F1 hybrid. Carp and red crucian carp shared 15 bands. All the bands of parents could be found in the hybrid individuals. RAPD markers are dominant markers. Heterozygous bands in parents segregated in F, individuals. RAPD technique is useful for the identification of hybrid individuals and analysis of heterozygous loci.
