| Abstract: | Vibrational frequencies that are forbidden in Raman and IR absorption can be observed by inelastic neutron scattering. In the case of the I(h)-symmetrical molecule dodecahedrane (shown schematically), the resulting spectrum agrees with a DFT calculation. |
