| Abstract: | Alkylidenebisamides and alkylidenebiscarbamates were found to react with oxalyl chloride to give oxazolidinediones ( 2 ), a diazepinedione ( 3 ) or fragmentation products depending on the nature of the substituents (R' in formula 1 ). |
