Abstract:Photocatalytic degradation of trace acetone and acetaldehyde in air on TiO 2 was studied. The results show that 390 mg/m 3 of acetone and 413 mg/m 3 of acetaldehyde can be completely degraded into CO 2 and H 2O in a short time under illumination by UV lamp with power of 11 W and in the presence of water vapor and O 2 in air. The effect of calcining temperature and time of TiO 2 on activity was investigated. The effects of amount of photocatalysts, O 2 on the rate of photocatalytic degradation were also studied.
