Abstract:It was found that the nonoxidative dehydroaromatization of methane occurs over Mo-containing pentasil-type zeolites with various framework compositions at 750°C. This reaction is accompanied by catalyst deactivation because of coke formation. The effects of the space velocity of methane and the composition of the zeolite matrix on the amount and properties of the resulting condensation products were studied. It was found that the lowest amount of coke with a relatively low degree of polycondensation was formed on zeolite with SiO2/Al2O3 = 40 containing Mo nanoparticles.
