Abstract:In the present paper,MALDI and FAB Mass spectra of ginsenosides have been studied,the characters of mass spectra have been described in detail.The results demonstrate that MALDI is a softer ionization method than FAB ionization.Intact molecular ions are produced and few fragments can be observed.High sensitivity is another feature of MALDI MS.ng or less quantity of sample is enough for mass measurement.FAB mass spectrometry is good at providing structure information.Some important structure fragments can be obtained without CID MS.
