Abstract:The modification of HZSM-5 with phosphorus and it's effect on the propane aromatization were investigated by means of thermal balance,IR and probe reaction.A series of HZSM-5 catalysts doped with different amount of phosphorus were prepared.The results obtained showed that the addition of phosphorus with adequate amount to HZSM-5 can effectively suppress the cracking reaction and obviously enhance the selectivity of aimed products.Coke resistance and catalyst life are also improved.The reasons accounting for the wariations can be ascribed to the acidity changes due to the modification,that is,cracking sites with strongest acidity tend to convert in to aromatization ones which possess weaker acidity,mean while the number of these sites is also increased.
