The Electrochemical Properties of Polyalizarin Violet Modified Electrode and its Electrocatalytic Oxidation of Ascorbic Acid

Abstract:Ascorbic acid is a vital vitamin in the diet of human and is present in mammalian brain. However, it is always too difficult to determine this compound electrochemically by direct oxidation at a conventional electrode because of the fouling by its oxidation products. In order to resolve this problem, a multitude of polymeric coating for a wide variety of electrode applications in electrochemistry have been purposed In this paper, we reported the fabrication of polyalizarine violet chemical modified electrode prepared by electropolymerization directly at a glassy carbon electrode and its use in catalytic oxidation of AA.
