| Abstract: | The oxidation of glyceraldehyde with manganese(III) sulfate was studied. The reaction stoichiometry was found and a procedure for an indirect determination of 5–17 mg of the test substance has been proposed. The recommended procedure is based on the oxidation of glyceraldehyde with the reagent, the excess of which is back-titrated with standard solution of ferrous sulfate. |
