| Abstract: | This paper reviews the recent researches in the development of responsive hydrogels. It discusses the properties and the mechanism of some types responsive gels which perform gel phase transition trigged by external stimuli such as pH, ionic intensity, temperature, light, electric field and some biochemical molecules. The applications of such gels in pH armaceutical drug controlled release are also described. |
