| Abstract: | Summary A gas chromatographic procedure for the quantitative determination of authentic pindolol and pindolol in pharmaceutical formulations (ViskenR) (Sandoz, Basle, Switzerland) has been investigated. Pindolol in tablets was extracted with ethanol before injecting onto the gas chromatograph. The concentrations adopted were in the range of 1 to 3 mg/cm3 pindolol in alcoholic solution and the accuracy obtained was 98.2%±3.7 and 96.4%±3.6 for pure pindolol and its tablet formulation respectively. |
