Abstract:MnCeO catalysts, synthesized by amorphous citrate precursor (ACP) method were characterized by XRD, Microreactor and H2TPR techniques. When the CeO2 bulk was doped with manganese ions , fluorite structure formed at low manganese contents, while both fluorite structure and Mn3O4 formed at high manganese contents. The catalytic activity for CO oxidation is improved by doping CeO2 matrix with manganese ions. According to H2TPR, MnCeO(25) can be reduced more easily than Mn3O4 and CeO2 due to the formation of fluoritetype complex oxides. The composition of MnCeO catalysts with the highest activity is Mn0.25Ce0.75O2.
