| Abstract: | A review with 58 references is presented on the Fourier infrared spectroscopy applied to biological cells and tissues. The assignments of the major infrared absorption bands of cells are introduced. The spectroscopic features and the analytical methods of tumor are mainly reviewed. The implications of infrared spectroscopy applied to the diagnosis of cancer are also discussed. |
