| Abstract: | chloropyridine and 2,6-dichloropyridine were prepared continuously by gas-phase chlorination of a mixture of pyridine in a photochemical reactor. 2-chloropyredine and 2,6-dichloropyridine were obtained with the yield of 74.4% and 6.8% respectively. Using the reactor described, the operation can be long-lasting and stable without problems, such as clogging. |
