| Abstract: | The molecular configuration and conformation of chamissonolide, a new pseudoguaianolide from Arnica chamissionis Less., were established by a complete X-ray structure analysis. Correlations of different conformations of the seven-membered ring of this and related compounds with 1H NMR coupling constants are discussed. |
