TaqMan-Molecular Beacon: A New Type of Fluorogenic Probe for Target Gene Detection |

| Abstract: | A novel homogenous fluorogenic probe, TaqMan molecular beacon (TaqMan MB) has been developed from TaqMan and molecular beacons, which combines the hairpin structure of molecular beacons and the cleavage mechanism of TaqMan probes and has much better detection effects than TaqMan or molecular beacons alone. Combing with a real time PCR instrument, TaqMan MB presents a promising approach for quantitation of target genes. |
